    there are many people that like roleplaying with one liners. just because one person prefers something else doesn't mean they 'don't respect you,' it just means that they like more writing to work with.

    Tips for Keeping a RP Alive

    • Create and maintain a short but thorough interest check for your RP. Check it often and bump it if it fall off the first page.
    • Have a clear plot worked out before hand that is both fluid (allows players to shape it somewhat) but has clear goal for the end (so that players have direction and aren't running around with nothing to do.)
    • Give out writing/lore creating assignments to members of your RP who wish to help. If it's an OC world, make sure to flesh it out as much as possible. This makes your RPers feel like it's their world too.
    • Vet members asking to join before you let them. Check their post history. See if it is up to par with what you are looking for. See if they dropped any RPs recently. (I have caught people in the past dropping RPs because they said they were too busy and then immediately asking to join mine.)
    • Discord chat is a wonderful way to stay in touch with your RPers offsite and in real time. Having a dedicated chat room helps create a small group of friends/community who get to know each other. It makes people want to come back to not only write, but say hello to everyone and joke around.
    • If your RP is a big group RP make sure to pair people off at the beginning, so that either their characters know each other and are together, or are right near each other and are about to meet. This creates character interaction immediately.
    • Never hurts to ask if they are in it for the long haul. I mean, you would assume they were by joining but a lot of people in RP are flaky. Some people are what I call, "Fly-by-night" Rpers. They join 10 RPs at a time without any intention of finishing any of them. These people have probably never finished a RP. Watch out for them

    Know the feeling, Fandom seems the worst maybe think more realistic modern or a high school RPG those seem to be the most reliable for posts. That's what I'm planning anyways.
