It took just a couple of minutes for the first one to pass by. It was a tall muscular man with a black beard. Dangling from his neck was a small, sharp ankh.
The man turned his head and stopped by Hyde. He had never seen that young man before, but he looked sharp.

Most vampires were feeding from blood bags these days, but there were a few that met in feeding circles occasionally. Those circles didn't just consist of vampires, they also consisted of humans who were willing to give blood, either with or without being bitten ... and some humans who enjoyed...
Sandro climbed back onto the post. He laid down at the middle layer, dangled his front paws over the edge and moved them as if he was flapping hands, as much as that was possible, anyway.
Sandro had been sitting on top of a scratching post in the library. "If you're so unhappy about it, why don't you ask someone to teach you how to be more corporeal?" He meant no harm with his question - he was not very good at social stuff.
