Natural Flavour

Ah yes, pain
Hey! Thanks for taking a look at this! We began this RP about a month ago with a massive burst of energy that died quite quickly. However, we do still have a few dedicated players and I thought that instead of watching the RP die, I could re-open applications! We are partway through the practical exam (more information below) and we're not really making any progress, so it's a great place to join. Please submit a CS below, and I will let you know if you're accepted. If you're accepted, I'll add you to the main thread where we also have an OOC, IC Chat thread, official CS thread, and a little scrap of a lore thread/info dump that will be improved upon eventually. All I ask is that you commit to being active, posting at a rate that you're comfortable, but remaining in contact through the OOC so we don't wonder whether you've left or not! Please help us get this plot-line back on it's feet! We have enough teacher roles now, but I may still accept some student roles.

An expansive, pristine school campus lies in the depths of the city of Tokyo, providing a quiet and clean place to learn amid the hustle and bustle of the big city. Within it's vast gardens lies a high school with one of the most highly respected hero courses in the world: Sakura High. It's every aspiring youth's dream to get into this school, but with an entrance rate of 0.05%, it's unattainable to all but the best. Will you make the cut?

...

You are an orphan. A statistic. A number. Another mouth to feed. You have friends here, or maybe enemies? Maybe you care nothing for the others that call this place home. But you all have one thing in common. You are the children of fallen heroes. Maybe you knew them, maybe you didn't, but here at Tokyo Home for Children of the Fallen (THCF), you are given a chance to thrive. A quirk counsellor lives in the building, and you're given free quirk counselling when you need it. When you're of age and if you should desire to follow your parents' paths, you'll take the entrance exam as a recommended applicant, and the quirk counsellor will give the staff of the school a report on your quirk and it's abilities. Their eyes will be on you. You'll have to prove you're worthy of course, cause no one's going to hand it to you. So, on the day of Sakura High's entrance exam, you and your peers find yourselves at the gate, lined up among hundreds, maybe even a thousand other youth with the same dream as yours. To become a hero.

...

Welcome to BNHA- Orphans of Tokyo!! I have a variety of roles available, just tell me who you want to be and write up a character sheet! If you're approved by the board of GMs, you're in! This RP will take place at Sakura High (since after passing the exam they won't live at the orphanage anymore). We want this RP to be active, so I'm requiring at the very least one post per week. Posts don't have to be lengthy, but please help to move along the plot! One liners are heavily discouraged.

Now, here are the roles!!!

Orphans: (You are prospective hero applicants, aged 15. You live at Tokyo Central Children's Home, unless you get into Sakura High. Then you'll live at the school's dorm. This story is about you!)

Here is the information on the practical exam:
"AHA! Found it! Sakura High Practical Exam Introduction, or That Time I Made a Bunch of Freshmen Cry.... Whoops you weren't supposed to hear that last part.... Oh well...." Gatekeeper smiled awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head, the storm of papers at last coming to rest, though one obstinate page rested lazily atop his head.

"Those of you who have made the decision to dedicate yourself to the life of a Hero, let me be the first to thank you for your service. However, as you are aware, Sakura High receives thousands of applicants every year, and in the interest of providing the best education and preparation for your future career as possible, we cannot take all of you. Now that you have completed the written portion of our entrance exam, you will be presented with the Practical Exam. This is your chance to demonstrate to us just how much you have to offer as a potential student. Consider this a job interview, and show us your best." He read from the script, pausing to flash a smile at the students before flipping the page with a flamboyant flourish.

"For this practical exam, we will simulate a villain attack. Throughout the training grounds, there will be robot antagonists for you to defeat. These are worth anywhere from one to fifty points depending on the difficulty of the robot and the methods used to take it down. This, however, isn't the only grading criteria. There will be five pillars which you will be graded on in addition to the points earned from the robots. However, in the interest of seeing your genuine ability and thought process, we will not be telling you the specifics of these pillars before hand. Your objective is to defeat or repel the villains, protect and tend to civilians, and show us exactly how you intend to handle yourself as a Hero in a dire situation. For each of our grading pillars, you will start out with 50/100 points. You gain or lose points in accordance with your actions during the exam. If your score in any of our criteria hits zero, you will fail the exam and be removed. If you fail, this does not mean you cannot be a Hero, it just means that you are not quite ready for the rigors of our particular Hero course. You are also more than welcome to try again next year, and you will receive critiques in the mail as to where you should focus on improving." He explained as he read directly from the script without ever taking his eyes off of it. For someone who was known as an actor, you'd think he'd have memorized his lines....

"One more thing. Some of Sakura High's Staff and Faculty have elected to stand in as villains for this Practical Exam. If you face off against them, they will personally grade your performance, and they have been instructed to grade very harshly. It is likely in your best interest not to face them. As a last word of caution: This practical exam is going to simulate the danger you can expect to face as a Hero. There is a very real risk of personal injury or death. By taking this exam, you consent to the risks and absolve Sakura High of any liability. Any of you who would like to bow out may do so now. Step quickly now" Ryu remarked, pulling a pocket watch from his pocket to keep track of the time. Every year, there were always some that heard that liability warning and chickened out. It was that first reality check that being a Hero was actually a dangerous line of work. Seats creaked as those who weren't ready left the room. When silence returned, Ryu looked up from his watch.

"Well, that was your last chance to bow out. If you're still here, that means you're going for broke. To those of you still here, I wish you good luck. Your time starts...." He trailed off, snapping his fingers as the entire floor turned black. Without warning, all of the students and their desks were dropped in front of a giant archway. Beyond that Archway was the Fifth Training Grounds, a sprawling cityscape designed to test students in an urban environment. Even now, they could hear the sounds of crashing, civilians screaming for help, and more.

Above the archway, Ryu's face appeared once more. With a playful smirk, he finished the sentence he had started before warping them to the training zone.

"Now"

Please feel free to chit-chat and ask questions below! :3

Could I make both a teacher and an Orphan? (Every BNHA to I join dies before I can really get my charries on a role)
And, you want us to post a CS here in this thread or in the actual CS thread?

Id be up for joining, do you have anything more about whats happened so far or the types of characters the ones listed are? List of names doesnt give that much to go on as i had a few ideas.

Throwing a quick one down, bit more too it but that would be better if i could chat over the idea some more i think.

Name: Alice Cooper
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Role:
Orphan
Parents:

Mother: Retired Hero following complications in line of service had her deemed unfit to continue to operate, most notably her license being revoked after public backlash at the "Red Concert" event, this began a downward turn for many years until her eventual passing.
Father: Unknown
Appearance:

Height: 6' 2"
Personality: A Rebellious woman who has remained in the delinquent phase taking self-expression and personal freedom to the extreme, breaking the mold of the traditional hero image yet still devoted to writing the wrongs, hiding a softer heart under a very rough exterior.
History:
Risen up from a single mother household in a rough neighborhood Alice has occasionally brushed among the less than legal though has shown intense focus in using the hero opportunity to pull themselves out of such. Having dealt with a with the backlash over her mother's history as well as continued to view the downward spiral that led to her being separated, Alice was eventually forced into the orphanage program with reluctance, periodically making her way back home until the death of her mother in undisclosed circumstances.
Quirk:
Honey Badger
Quirk explanation:
Allows the user to do almost anything a honey badger of proportional size can do, possing incredible strength and agility their razor claws and teeth have been seen to break through even reinforced steel with ease, however, their greatest asset has been their sheer resilience to damage and endurance. Other notable features are her keen senses and deceptively loose skin when grabbed, allowing her to twist and move around even when fully restrained.

Name:
Leona Wright
Age:
15
Gender:
Female
Role:
Orphan
Parents:
Her parents were both American Pro-Heros who lost their lives when she was 2. Her mother was Diana Wright, The Woman of Steel. She could manipulate metal, primarily iron and steel, and use it as armor in some cases. Her father, Maxwell Wright, was the Pro-Hero Tidal Wave. He could manipulate water with the power of the ocean itself. They made a super duo, meeting right after they graduated hero school, they had Leona shortly after being transferred to an international branch of their hero department, even tho neither of them really spoke Japanese. When they died, a terrible accident with an exploding building, nobody really knows the true cause, her dual citizenship and the fact nobody was looking for her, the only option was being sent to live in a local Orphanage.
Appearance:
cfab1e91af14fbd7c172fd0e9ed660e8.jpg
Personality:
Quiet, bitter, cold. It's a harsh world out there for kids who don't know their place, who think that if they knew their family, they would maybe have a sense of purpose, that they would know their place in the world. Or just maybe the ache would go away. Leona has always been a quiet kid, not the most social, but not really a recluse either. She preferred the quiet, the low energy kids, the ones she could maybe sit down and read with or play a board game without a first fight breaking out. And like the other orphans, she was inspired by the stories of her parents. Leona always found it weird how neither of her parents had the same quirk as her, but maybe that was for the best. Leona knows how uncomfortable she can make people sometimes. It hurt, but she got used to it. As she grew older, she shit down more, she resented the way the others would light up when the Pro Heros came on TV or when they were talked about in class. She never really looked up to anyone like that.

She felt like she only had villains or creeps to look up to.

Leona soon became that antisocial kid you see sitting in the back. The wallflower, the one who blends into the background until her quirk is active. She didn't have any friends really, just people she knew, and she was always more academically focused than the other kids seemed to be. Honestly, though, she wasn't paying attention. But, there were those one or two who could breakthrough. The ones who saw that her caring was shown in many different small ways. She would make sure that the bowls we're always in reach of the younger kids, or how she made sure that there was always a pencil for everyone even if they didn't notice. She was the one putting blankets on the people who fell asleep downstairs, and that bookbags were packed. Everything she did she did in the background. Leona cares deeply about everything she does, apathetic, but one of the most sympathetic people you'll meet. She doesn't always know what to say or do, but she does know that at some point, people just need someone to talk to. Her loyal, hardworking nature is often overshadowed by the preconceptions that people have of her. Leona knows this, which is why even if her efforts are ignored or maybe even turned around for the worse, she can't stop.
History:
Leona, as most would expect from Orphans, never knew her parents. Simply their shadow. The stories of the kind but mighty heroes. It was supposed to inspire her, and I suppose it did, but there are limits. She was two when she was put into the TCFH, where she didn't understand that her mom and dad were never coming back. That the noisy place full of other children was now her home. Leona didn't like it. She didn't remember much of her first year, being an infant can do that, her first memory is of a preschool like setting when she was about four. Some little jerk was running with scissors, tripped, and stabbed Leona. Not on purpose, obviously but he never did apologize. The feeling of blood pooling under her leg, the pain, she sharp tug and gush as someone pulled the scissors out, nobody really expected that to trigger her quirk. Suddenly her eyes went red, the veins in her hands firing up in the same color red, all that blood began to circle around her, aiming for anybody nearby as she stood up. And then Leona suddenly collapsed. She woke up a few hours later in the hospital, alone, the back of one of the adults out in the hall.

People started acting weird around her afterward, and for a few weeks, she didn't really know why. The sudden activation of her quirk coupled with the blood loss caused her to blackout. She thought everything was normal until someone tried to get her to activate it again. The same preschool like situation, a few kids we're throwing things at her, trying to piss her off or get her to bleed one. They got both. They didn't get hurt, but damn, they shit their pants running away calling her a demon. She remembered that incident and finally went to speak to the quirk counselor. They weren't really sure how to handle her, her quirk was similar to water manipulation, but with the added benefit that it could kill her if they pushed too hard in training. But they didn't have a choice. And so began her training and the start of her withdrawal from the other Orphans.

When they reached elementary school, and more quirks started showing up, Leona did her best to hide hers. She didn't want the extra attention, and she wanted to avoid another incident, and even her quirk counselor agreed. Leona wasn't lucky enough to hide it forever, as the teacher around the middle of the school year forced everyone who had gotten their quirk to show it off, she wouldn't skip Leona. The few friends she had made, the people willing to look her in the eyes or speak normally we're disgusted. Kids can be really mean, and these ones were not exceptions. Even her teacher was in on it apparently. When the kids would take sides for games that require a "villain" presence, Leona was always the first one picked for the bad guys. She was excluded from certain activities, often worked by her self even on group projects, and worse, some of the older kids who knew would take it into their hands to teach her a lesson. She suffered several concussions, a broken bone or two, and by the end of her elementary career, they had convinced her she was a monster.

The first day of middle school, their homeroom teacher went around and asked them all what they wanted to do when they got older. Most kids said hero, they were met with affirmative words and cheers. It was Leona's dream too, but she was met with silence, and then a room wide laughter. It took a few minutes for them to settle down. Later, her teacher pulled her aside, and told her that maybe she should think of something else, that hero work required a certain umph. That she wouldn't be able to handle it. Her dream was impossible. Over the course of the first year, she sank into a depression. She still trained and worked as hard, but most of her time off was spent in her room. She stopped taking care of herself, barely eating, her shower schedule was a mess, which didn't help things at school, it seemed to be an endless cycle of abuse and self-loathing she couldn't and honestly, still can't escape from. Year two didn't go much better, and by year three, she had almost completely given up. Until one day when a Pro-Hero, the one who called herself Meltdown, came to their school. Everyone wanted to meet her, to get her autograph or a picture. Leona was waiting at the back of the line, terrified and unsure of what to do or say, it seemed to fall silent when it was her turn. She very quickly mumbled for an autograph, to which Meltdown was happy to give, she asked what Leona wanted to do. "I want to be a hero, " she said. Obviously, her classmates began to mock her, a chorus of laughs and jeers being thrown her way, Leona just wanted to rip her notebook away and leave. But Meltdown stopped them, I mean, her skin was glowing red hot, of course, they would stop, and she looked back to Leona. "Then you be the best-damned hero you can be. Don't let anything stop you." It was a simple sentence that anyone could have said to Leona, but the fact it came from a real pro-hero made it mean something more than if just anyone had said it. It didn't stop the bullying, but it helped drive Leona.

All the way to the entrance exam.
Quirk:
Hemokenesis (Blood Manipulation - Appeared at 4 years old)
Quirk explanation:
Leona can manipulate the red and white blood cells of both herself and others because she has a mutation of both of her parent's quirks. She can make blood flow like water, harden, increase in temperature, and expand rapidly. If there is an open wound on someone, she can manipulate their blood while it's still in their body. She would have to be touching them in order to do so, which means getting close. Leona isn't a fan of righting close range, but it can come in handy when someone needs to be stopped in their tracks. Mostly she manipulates her own blood, or the blood lost by an enemy, and rarely ever asks someone if she can use theirs. Additionally, her cells are constantly regenerating, giving her a low-grade healing factor. When her quirk is active, the veins in her forearms glow red (giving her good access points, but there's also the downside of being attached to two glow sticks), as well as her eyes. It's essentially so she has easy access to some of her veins, but it also makes her a glow stick with pinpoint targets.

After battles, Leona suffers from Aniema. It takes a bit for her blood to regenerate after heavy usage, leaving her in a weakened and vulnerable state. When she's like this, She relies on her allies for help as moving is difficult and she's unable to defend herself. Because of this, battles that drag on too long are yet another weakness, as if she isn't careful, she could easily be struck down by her own body in the middle of a fight, which could prove to be fatal since she could cause herself to bleed out. Now, there is a way to combat the blood loss effects, and that's by recalling her blood or blood of the same type. However, it's not always the best option, as you never know what's going on with your surroundings, so Leona has to be careful. If she isn't 100 percent sure that it's her blood/the same blood type (she gets this feeling in her gut that usually tells her), or if it's not clean, she can get dreadfully ill. She's immune to Blood poisoning and other diseases, but her body will reject blood that's not up to standard. She will get a fever, delirious, extremely nauseous, even passing out. And the only ways to fix it is to either inject clean blood into her system, ride it out, or have a doctor/healing quirk treat her. Leona also has made a promise to herself that she will never use her quirks full abilities or to break her own code unless she is about to die and there's no other option.

Name:
Dr. Yuri Fujioka
Age:
25
Gender:
Female
Role:
Pro-Hero, Combat Instructor/Counselor (A psychologist not a quirk counselor)
Appearance:
anime-girl-clipart-shorts-839263-8849415.jpg
Personality:
Yuri is an incredibly intelligent woman, having fast-tracked her academic career to the point shes only 25 and has a Ph.D. in Psychology even with doing the hero work. She puts it good use too, a strategizer, a woman who knows exactly why you're acting the way you are and how to use it against you. Or help you if it's during her office hours. She's very friendly, outgoing, a woman as bubbly as you would expect for what she does, it's not always like this. She's human, like the rest of us, and can be called something of a hothead who doesn't let go of a grudge easily, which can make her quirk flare-up. She can even get frustrated by a problem that she could solve easily if she just took a step back to breathe, she's often caught up in the moment trying to bulldoze her way through. Hardworking, loyal, morally grey for a hero but who's gonna judge. Just don't piss her off, she will melt your hair.
History:
Not much is actually know about her past, which makes sense given she was born into a Yakuza family. Fujioka is not her real last name, it was changed so that her family reputation wouldn't get in the way of her dreams, thanks, mom and dad. Anyway, her history officially starts in Sakura High, as one of the youngest students admitted. She was 13, with a spotless academic record of nothing but success, she quickly proved why. Yuri was a genius. Her teachers wanted to go easy on her because of her age, but she quickly proved them wrong, that they didn't need to baby her. She aced everything, if you could graduate early she would have, but instead she settled for 16, and a wonderful full-ride scholarship to the college of her choice, which she kept a secret. Anyway, her debut was explosive, to say the least.

An amateur hero of just 17 years old, Yuri was drawn u to the middle of a war on when a group of terrorists seized some of downtown Tokyo. Because of civilian presence, the pro-heroes had limited options and the villains knew this. They had 73 hostages, 10 wounded cops, and had taken down 2 pro heroes in under three hours. Which sounds like a long time, but these guys weren't using quirks, they had heavy weaponry, everyone had to be careful. And then in came Meltdown. Her skin lit up like molten metal, hair on fire, but like, in a cool way, not shes gonna be bald in a few seconds. They tried shooting her, but the bullets melted before they reached her, the rain was evaporating before it hit the ground, paper was catching on fire. She looked like a demon, or fire nymph maybe. Either way, the sight of that must have terrified the shit out of the terrorists because next thing you see is them dropping their weapons, trembling as the got on the ground, and the really neat waves of Yuri cooling down.

The most challenging part of hero work for her is balancing it while her school work. Anyway, just last year, she graduated with a Ph.D., an extra 12 years worth of school done in not a lot of time, she applied to be a school psychologist with Sakura High. Hero work was tolling, and the people training to be heroes were just kids, they would need help processing. This, however, will be her first year as a combat instructor, focusing a lot on hand to hand and melee weapons. And you know she's excited.
Quirk:
Body Temperature Manipulation
Quirk explanation:
Yuri has complete control over the body temperature of herself and others, including increasing and decreasing it to harmful or lethal levels, within the ranges of 80°F to 110°F when it comes to the body heat of others, and she can increase it to levels where touching her is painful/damaging. She can raise her own body temperature high enough to metal Platinum, and it's helped by her emotions. The more extreme her emotions are, the high she can go. While turning herself redhot is limited to just herself, her surroundings definitely feel it. She can also lower her body temperature to where she cannot be detected, however, she's not immune to the effects of long exposure to the cold, so using this half of her powers is not common. She'sfireprooff, and can withstand heats that nobody else could (not including lava, shes never tried it) cold is a no go.

A downside to her power is the emotional factor. Extreme emotions don't just come in times for battle, but also everyday life. She can sometimes cause accidents like fires or something important melting because her emotions are running high. She can control them, but hey, she's human. Cooling down takes a while too, and during that time, she can't do much of anything. She can still move of course, but interrupting the cool down procedure can cause her serious injury as her body needs to readjust to the temperature. So, she often works with a partner who can help her out. And, wearing metal or plastic is a no go, the always melt. A lot of her clothing is leggings and hoodies, and she doesn't do formal events.
Relationships:
TBA
Other:
  • The outfit seen above is her hero outfit, inspired by her parents.
  • You can bribe her with spicy noodles and iced coffee
  • This woman often is only still standing thanks to energy drinks, so, no math, please
  • A literal raging lesbian. Well, bi, but she does love the ladies

Yep. Tokyo. Several students are foreign transplants if the names throw you off a bit. Dante's parents are Spanish but moved to Japan, for example.
Damn it.
I completely overlooked him. Can we have duplicate quirks? Or am I gonna have to do something else for Leona. I mean, last time I saw Dante's quirk it was slightly different than what I was gonna do.

I'm incredibly guilty of reusing names/concepts lol. I don't mind overlapping quirks. In the original group we had 3 dragon related quirks, after all. (Of course, everything is subject to GM approval)

If you want, feel free to PM me and we can talk about how we'd each use Hemokinesis to keep them from being too identical

Is there any Discord for this? or is it purely OOC on RPN?.
Is that one character posted ok? I could do a second but for some games its easier to focus on one for me.

Name:
Daizo "Dai" Lee
Alias:
Discord

Age:
15
Gender:

Male
Role:

Orphan
Parents:
Daizo is unaware of who his parents are, and even if he were opportune to find out, he would refuse. In reality, his father is the famed, yet adulterous hero, "Oversize," who has powers, like Daizo, to manipulate the size of himself and other objects. The birth of Daizo is unknown to Oversize himself. The lover at the time, "Lady Quake," who had the ability of super strength was torn at the realization of pregnancy. She retired for the time due for Daizo's birth, but wouldn't give up the super hero life for the unexpected baby. Thus, Daizo was given to the orphanage instead.
Appearance:

Daizo stands at whatever height and weight he chooses, but is seen most often 6'7" with a weight of just over 215lbs. His complexion is fair, with light blond hair that is usually left messy. He has scars over his face from when he just began using his quirk, growing uncontrollably in certain areas, than the rest, which caused tears over his arms and face until he got a hang of it. He also has a diamond stud earring on each ear, and sports a resting facial expression of boredom.
Personality:

Daizo doesn't care. At all. He only decided to join the hero gig due to encouragement from Ms. Pryce. Normally, Daizo is a very laid-back and lax individual. He enjoys keeping to himself, and has learned to trust and rely solely on himself. When approached, Daizo is a very "take-no-shit" type of person. He strives to be the opposite of pushover, and hates the feeling of being used. He'll resort to violence in the case he feels threatened, and not think twice about it. In the case he does let people in, and trusts them, Daizo makes a very good guard dog, and an undeniably loyal ally.
History:

Like the rest of the orphanage children, Daizo was given away because his parents felt their lives would be less miserable without him in it. Unlike how he is now, Daizo grew up a joyful and energetic boy, and thought of the orphanage as his family. Over the years, more and more people would be adopted, more and more brothers or sisters he'd never see again. The feeling of hurt each time someone he loved disappeared was what broke the boys, and turned him into a recluse. He preferred to protect himself from the hurt, and scrap the idea of friends altogether. He grew cold and distant from his peers and most of the staff, and it was only the realization that he had abilities that somewhat eased his time at the orphanage. With time, more peers developed abilities, and with aid from Ms. Pryce, he agreed to the transfer to Sakura High.
Quirk:
Size Manipulation
Quirk Explanation:

As the name implies, Daizo is able to manipulate the size of himself and other objects in close vicinity. As for himself, he's able to manipulate the size of every aspect of his physique. He can shrink to the size of a tennis ball, or grow into the size of a small building. Due to this, he can also manipulate his muscle and bone mass to increase his strength and durability, as well as shrink body mass to enhance his condition. He is also able to manipulate the size of specific parts of his body, and not necessarily the whole.

As for other objects, through contact, he is able to shape their size to his will, whether it's smaller or bigger. Like himself, he can only shrink objects about the size of tennis balls, or increase them to almost ten times their normal size.

He hasn't learned to use the ability on living organisms besides plants, and runs the risk of injuring his peers or people and animals.
He can change the size of objects, but does not "grow" them.
Shouldn't be confused with elasticity.

Relationship: TBA
Other:

Under his regular clothes, Daizo sports a full jumpsuit (coloured purple and black) that can change size with him whether bigger or smaller.

Does the Grow follow the conservation of mass? ie Giant object but very light, Small object very heavy?

Name: Vangelis Stavros
Age: 29
Gender:
Male
Role:
Sakura High Teacher
Parents:

Father: Haris Stavros; quirkless, multi-millionaire business owner in the USA
Mother: Atsuko Stavros; Ex-Hero turned villain, serving the 13th of a 50 year prison sentence in America
b70d1cc62eb8f62cdcbbd90a560b8dee.jpg
Appearance Notes: 5'10" tall, 155 lbs,
Personality:
Vangelis is probably the last person you would expect to be a teacher, let alone one at a hero's academy. He exudes confidence in a way that does not source from a powerful quirk, rather from his upbringing and education. If he were to act differently, one could easily make the connection between himself and his father. However, despite a commonly intimidating first impression, he is compassionate and humble, always opting for the least extreme solution to any conflict, if given the choice. He cares deeply about his career and the opportunity to help guide his students to be the best version of themselves. Vangelis treats everyone at least as his equal, regardless of their background and/or current situation.
History:
Born into unimaginable wealth, Vangelis Stavros was groomed his whole childhood to be his father's successor for a single reason: his quirk was not suited to become a hero, like his mother. He had blindly accepted this for a long time. He went to the best schools, had the best tutors, and hung out with the richest kids- often being the leader of these "rich kid" groups.
However, during his first year of high school, Vangelis had noticed his mother becoming less caring, patient, and- well, mother-like. She was becoming more unstable, and within the next year, she had suddenly given up the career of heroism. She had taken a call to a prison riot, and instead of stopping the chaos, aided many of the worst criminals in escaping, forming a temporary villain alliance. Unfortunately, this was short-lived and the whole group, including Atsuko Stavros, was caught.
These events had a terrible effect on Vangelis and his father. Being put under even more pressure to succeed, he did just that. Top of his class every semester, taking on double the workload compared to any other student, he finished high school already a quarter of the way through university. However, unknown to his father, it had nothing to to with business. He was training to become a teacher. And Haris only discovered this at his son's graduation. There was no scene to be caused, though. Just a silent disowning, and Vangelis leaving home within that week.
He picked up a normal job to pay for university the normal way; with his own money and a few scholarships. He made normal friends, being known not as the "rich kid leader," but as the guy who anyone could get help from, whatever the issue, he dedicated himself to being the kind of person his mother was before her incident. However, having been practically blacklisted from anything prestigious by his father and his connections, Vangelis left the States to his next best chance at success: Japan. There, he worked his way up, gaining a reputation as a prodigious rookie teacher, until he was able to become a teacher as a non-hero at Sakura High, at the age of 26, no less.
Quirk:
Perfect Communication
Quirk explanation:
Vangelis is able to communicate in any human language, including non-verbal ones. Unlike someone who has to learn a language the long way, he does not suffer the issue of finding the correct words, as- in his head, he is still speaking his native language of English. When he is speaking directly to a person, his quirk passively and perfectly translates his thoughts into the listener's most fluent language, and translates their words as he hears them. This process requires Vangelis to know what his target language is. He can only speak English when speaking to a nonspecific listener, such as over the phone, to a too large group of people(current limit is around 50), or other similar situations.
Relationships:
TBD
Other:

- The reason Vangelis can only speak English when non using his quirk is because he has never actually learned another language.
- Vangelis is trained in many fighting styles, specifically geared toward fighting from the disadvantage of being practically quirkless.
- A few students from his earliest years of teaching have become successful heroes and have publicly cited him as their greatest mentor.

Ken'ichi Yamamoto

Hero Name:
The Homeless Hero.

Age:
42

Gender:
Male

Role:
Hero + School staff -
Head of disciplinary actions and support teacher (By this I mean he supports other teachers should they need a second teacher for a lesson not that he is a support class teacher.)

Personality:
While decidedly laid-back, Ken'ichi is by no means a completely "relaxed" person; he openly seeks to enjoy himself without giving much care to what others think of him, this leads to Ken'ichi being deliciously mischievous at times as he simply wants "to have fun", often leading to him pulling pranks or joking around altogether when others would be completely serious. While his behavior may be deemed somewhat "inappropriate" for a hero or a teacher Ken'ichi has been shown to slip into a serious demeanor more "fitting" for a man of his rank, albeit on an extremely rare basis, that has been reported to send chills rushing down the spines of villains and fellow heroes alike as his demeanor swings to one that is the very manifestation of killing intent and no longer cares for entertaining those around him as his mind is focused solely on the task at hand. This "transformation" is both rarely seen and relatively short-lived, not to mention being immensely difficult to provoke, as his typically jovial nature will almost certainly eventually win out.

Ken'ichi is an honest man with both a wild and prideful streak, while he openly states that he doesn't care in the least for what others think of him the way he lives is extremely admirable if given the proper scrutiny. Often the "light" in any situation he brings joy to others on a consistent basis while being extremely loyal to those around him, if you manage to get into his good graces it is safe to say you will be protected from any harm while in his presence.

Ken'ichi is openly fond of those around him and his relationships with many can be considered decidedly of the "older-brother" nature as he sees to it that they are both taking care of themselves and that they enjoy themselves in the vast majority they do. To this end, he has no issues in "kidnapping" those around him in order to relieve them of their mundane duties so that they may relax even for a brief moment. While he is rather easy to get along with, Ken'ichi is not the most trusting individual in the world and takes a long time to trust most people. Ken'ichi is also a recreational smoker and as such is often seen with an ornate pipe filled with aromatic mixtures of herbs and tobacco, suggesting that he smokes not for any addiction or taste but rather as another thing he simply enjoys due to the smell off.

History:
Ken'ichi has lived a rather strange life compared to most heroes. He was born to two loving parents who both didn’t really have any strong quirks, in fact, compared to many their quirks we’re weak. His father's quirk was called architecture and it allowed him to gather information on an area and map it out memorising it to the finest detail. His mothers was called physical description and it allowed her to be able to see a person’s body and creates almost like a stat-block for them knowing their strength, speed, etc… along with any injuries that may be affecting the person. Together they created Ken’ichi quirk Prediction.

His family were known for two major things, the first was that they offered housing for the homeless and the second that the family had owned a dojo for the past five generations and taught a weapon-based fighting style out of it catering mostly to those much like them with a weak quirk or those that needed some confidence in using their quirks, which thanks to the dojo being private did not break any laws. When Ken’ichi was born he was raised identical to how his father was with a fist of iron, whatever his father said went and from when Ken’ichi could walk he was trained in the family martial art.

The training was hard and brutal breaks were not a thing and he would easily be forced to train for over 12 hours per day, his father taught him how to be strong, he taught him manners but the one lesson that he couldn’t teach him discipline. Even from a young age, Ken’ichi was always looking for the best way to have fun whether it was pulling pranks on the various people that came to the dojo or just outright annoying his father by not showing up for training. This frustrated his father to no end to the point where the only time Ken’ichi and his father would meet eye to eye was whenever he was training.

Ken’ichi learned his family martial arts faster than most to the point where his father struggled to decide on what to teach him next, that was until his quirk was fully discovered. For many years of his early life it was thought that Ken’ichi was quirkless to him his quirk at the time was just normal something he didn’t even realize was unique however once he told his father about these weird images he’s been having about what his father was going to teach him even before his father had started. The next day his father took him to a quirk counselor where his quirk was finally acknowledged. From that day on his father knew just what to teach him.

Ken’ichi’s days didn’t change much for the next few years he was still forced to train 8 hours a day, go to school then sleep but what did change is the type of training he got. Unlike before where his training was heavily offensive based he was taught the ins and outs of the defense of his family martial arts, how to dodge and parry with ease to the point where even if he was blindfolded he could do it. It didn’t take him long to master the defense his quirk made sure of that.

Once Ken’ichi came of age he applied to several hero schools and ended up being invited to one of the largest in the country. His school days were easy compared to what his old man put him through and while he didn’t have the most flash quirk his way of fighting was flashy indeed. He would purposely taunt opponents making them want to attack him then simply dodge over and over until they tire themselves out constantly making remarks about them missing getting them more and more vexed until finally, he would strike with various well placed combo’s aimed at various weak spots in the body, he purposely made sure to go for places it looked like they didn’t train. For example, if someone solely used their fists to fight he would go for legs taking them out from under them. He knew he didn’t have the strength, speed or size that many of his classmates did so he found his own way to fight against these types of foes.

Ken’ichi passed the hero cause with flying colors coming third in his class but then unexpectedly while most joined or made their own Hero Agencies Ken’ichi went off the radar, in fact, he became homeless of his own choice. He made this decision after spending countless years with homeless people thanks to his parents. Now while most heroes go after big events and try to get their names on various platforms Ken’ichi did the opposite he went after small villains and racked up quite the capture amount over the years but truth be told he only had one focus. To protect the homeless.

Over the extensive years of his career as a hero, he had become quite the folk tale amount he homeless and various other small circles of hero fans. To those that knew him, they knew that every penny he made got spent on buying various things for homeless people, food, medicine, blankets whatever one might need he would get them.

As he got older he lost contact with his parents mostly since he was a very hard man to track down and it wasn’t until a year after his father died that he found out about it. He went and saw his mother that day and saw how much she was struggling with bills, keeping the dojo open and the homeless center and it was from then on that he decided he was going to help out if only on the money side which would cover two out of three of her worries.

So he went to university. It was quite funny most of his class were fresh-faced young adults and then there was just this one old homeless dude in the back of the class. University was the worst year of his life. To him who had lived the exciting life of a hero, it was dull and boring and every lecture just went on for way too long. When he wasn’t in university he was out doing his usual stuff whether it was helping out the fellow homeless or putting some criminals behind bars.

He managed to pass university and got a degree in teaching...to which he later found out he didn’t need it since he wanted to teach in a hero school. He applied to various schools but most took one look at him and turned him down, most didn’t even know his name or his hero name when he mentioned it which wasn’t all that surprising. His list got smaller and smaller until he got to Sakura High which strangely enough despite the fact that it only had a 0.05 acceptance rate for students so obviously only had the best teachers accepted him. In fact, the person doing the interview took one look at him, smiled and hired him.

Turns out this person saw a video of him that surfaced a few years back titled “Homeless man beats down shark villain” and the title said it all. It was him vs a villain with a shark type quirk and the video over and over was the same thing. Ken’ichi insulting the shark into attacking and him simple dodging and parrying over and over smacking the shark on the head several times until he finally went down. Ken’ichi wasn’t fully sure why that video made the man want to hire him until he saw the position he had accepted.

‘Head of Disciplinary Actions” It made a lot of sense. Just imagine your born with a great quirk that gets you into a hero school with a 0.05 acceptance rate so you're obviously a badass but then you go do something wrong and get disciplined for it. Your disciplinary action trying to hit an old man who is insulting you over and over and tapping you on the head with a stick that would get old and very annoying fast. He was also offered a placed as an assistant teacher so maybe he would get a chance to put that degree to use. Despite being a teacher he still is homeless he just showers a little more. It’s currently his first year of teaching.

Quirk:
Prediction

Quirk Explanation:
Prediction is a quick that allows the user to be able to predict various things. Now, this quirk has some very dead set rules, first, not every prediction is right, second without information a prediction is useless and finally without action a prediction does nothing.

What that means is that while this quirk allows the user to be able to predict various events such as an opponent's next move it is not always going to correct and that the more information the user has the more accurate the prediction is. Finally, this quirk does nothing but allows the user to predict if the user chooses not to take action or cannot take an action the quirk doesn't do anything.

This quirk has several weaknesses. The first is that it requires information for it to be accurate so when being used on an opponent the user has never seen before the user is required to fight without the quirk being useful. Secondly, this quirk can be overwhelmed if many attacks are coming at once. Finally, this quirk requires the user to be focused fully on their targets so if the become distracted and lose focus even for a second it will not active for that period of time.

On a side note about this quirk, it can be used for situations other than combat. For example if a building were unstable and could possibly collapse if the user tried to remove someone trapped under rubble the user would be able to gather information on the scene such as what's surrounding the rubble and various other factors to build an accurate prediction, allowing them to do it without causing the building to collapse.

Relationship:
TBA

Other:
He is a weapon master often carrying around a huge sack filled with various weapons, his go-to weapon is a Bo staff which he often uses to carry the sack around with him.

He is a relatively unknown hero due to his own preferences often doing jobs that keep him out of the spotlight.

His hero name is "The Homeless Hero" due to his unkempt appearance and choice to live on the streets.

His hero name is often mistaken as "The Homelesses hero" since most people don't think he would pick "The Homeless Hero" as his hero name to which he did.

Name || Lilith Arashi
Age || 15
Gender || Female
Role || Orphan

Parents || Hailing from the prodigious family was the pro-hero Tempest, who had a quirk which enabled him to summon storms, with little to no control, which is why he wielded a sword called Susanoo to control the lightning he summoned. He married Sol, the pro-hero with the quirk that permits control over solar energy. Together the two were to be Amaterasu and Susanoo in mortal form. In order to fulfill a prophecy, they sacrificed themselves in order to quell a dragon level threat

Personality || At first glance, one might underestimate Lilith, as she exudes innocence nearly as much as excitement. Instead, people are met with a highly spirited girl, with a flair for the dramatic. Impulsive in nature, her craftiness comes in handy when she gets herself into situations by not thinking things completely through. Ruled by emotions, she shows a strong sense of loyalty to humankind. Depending on the situation, she is known to suggest rather extreme things that sound normal in her mind. Contrary to popular belief, Lilith is extremely pious, to the extent of if her God Susano’o commanded her to commit murder, she would. She constantly fears upsetting or disappointing him

History || Lilith comes from a family who believes it is their duty to maintain the balance of weather. They are mostly recluse, residing on the outskirts of Tokyo, almost never leaving the Manor of Storms. The Arashi are considered warrior monks, they were originally a house of the sword before they were chosen by their god to act in his stead centuries ago. They worshipped the god Susanoo and were vastly pious and spiritual people. With the sacrifices of Pro Heroes Tempest and Sol, Lilith was taken into care and the only inhabitants inside the manor of storms were then other followers of Susanoo not a part of the central family

Lilith remains aware of who her parents were, as they died when she was ten years old

Quirk || Atmosphere

Quirk Explanation || Allows the user to affect natural phenomena, granting influence over a variety of atmospheric conditions

Being that nature is a foundation of the physical world, it is unwilling to be wholly controlled— it fights back. Due to this, Lilith can only control one aspect of weather at a time. For instance, she cannot will rain, hail, and large scale thunderstorms simultaneously. If she attempts this, it is more than likely her abilities will go haywire and to date— she has never been powerful enough to regain control

Restriction from open skies hinders her abilities. Inside, Lilith cannot create artificial aspects of weather, this limits her to weather conditions one can not only experience while outdoors. Lilith would also be able to still control electricity, as she generates this constantly and wind if she is near windows

There are several natural elements utilized in order to manipulate natural phenomena, even though this is the case, this does not give Lilith individual powers
Ex. Water is a large component of weather, but Lilith cannot control water from the ocean or from pipes. She would instead have limited hydrokinesis and would only be able to control rainwater

Relationship || TBA

Other || In respect for her father, she wields
Susanoo, a nodachi sword handed down in her family through generations. Additionally, she wields Amaterasu, a wakizashi sword, a much smaller weapon. It complements Susanoo and is used for close combat. It is named after the spirit of her mother

If admitted into her preferred hero course, she wishes for her alias to be Calamity

She can speak English and Japanese fluently. Although she is a native of Japan, her mother was not—Sol was born in America.
Throwing a quick one down, bit more too it but that would be better if i could chat over the idea some more i think.

View attachment 632079

Dr. Yuri Fujioka

25
Gender:
Female
Role:
Pro-Hero, Combat Instructor/Counselor (A psychologist not a quirk counselor)
Appearance:
View attachment 631928

Name: Vangelis Stavros
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Role: Sakura High Teacher
Parents:
Father: Haris Stavros; quirkless, multi-millionaire business owner in the USA
Mother: Atsuko Stavros; Ex-Hero turned villain, serving the 13th of a 50 year prison sentence in America
b70d1cc62eb8f62cdcbbd90a560b8dee.jpg
Appearance Notes: 5'10" tall, 155 lbs,
Personality: Vangelis is probably the last person you would expect to be a teacher, let alone one at a hero's academy.
History: Born into unimaginable wealth, Vangelis Stavros was groomed his whole childhood to be his father's successor for a single reason: his quirk was not suited to become a hero, like his mother.
Quirk: Perfect Communication
Quirk explanation: Vangelis is able to communicate in any human language, including non-verbal ones.
Relationships: TBD
