Exalted 3e: What falls at Greyfalls

Red Shadow Claws

Six Thousand Club
Ah.. you might have sighed a sigh of contentment at being far from your House, and all their expectations of you, but then again, they saw you as failures, and sent you to this far and isolated place called Greyfalls. Will you wallow in mediocrity, or will you strive to show them that you're better than that?

This is an Exalted 3e game for Dragon-Blooded.
Give me your best worst Dragon-Blooded. Why did they get sent to this place?

I'm not sure I have time for another game at the moment, Dragons know I'm not as active as I should be in the ones I'm in. Also, I like hearing a bit more of a pitch from the ST when deciding to join something :)

The easternmost satrapy of the Realm in the Scavenger Lands, Greyfalls is considered by many to be a dead-end position for Dynasts. Except maybe for those of House Cynis.

It's a dreary place, and while the falls can be inspiring, once you spend some time there, you fail to notice them anymore. The only thing that livens your days there is the parties that the Satrap throws.

You're all Princes of the Earth, Chosen of the Elemental Dragons, but for some reason or another, your House has sent you to this place. A place where none has risen in ranks. Here, you can wallow in your sorrow and frustration, or you can strive to buck the trend, and seek to rise above this place and into your rightful place.

I have a Air Immaculate character for a game that fizzled that I can brush the dust off of and port over, once I make sure that it is still something I am satisfied that I want to run.

Since my initial build was using the 3e kickstarter, the character didn't have the 5 free Excellencies that the DB Core book now has for them. It is always fun choosing more Charms for a character instead of having to trim some away.

If the Air and Wood Aspects are taken, I'll take the Earth Aspect. Something along the lines of an army leader, I'm thinking.

Any definite plans on what the Chronicle will involve? Warfare? Intrigue?

Having thought about it on the drive to work, I think I will stick with Wood Aspect. I can see a hunter-chef being an amusing change of pace.

Also think about why was he sent to this Empress-forsaken place...

I'm thinking of having my character being an unwitting Lookshyan by blood, taken into his house at infancy and still unaware of this origin.

Also, potentially dabbling in concept relevant sorcery if there's enough space in the starting points to fit it.

Is this sufficient cause to be held at arm's length or should I expound upon some great mistake or rebellion keeping him in a soft exile?

Will Cathak Kitono be the military commander in Greyfalls? I was thinking that my character could be a member of House Cathak, and one of the top graduates of the House of Bells, with Kitono calling in a favor to recruit him, wanting a capable and trustworthy Dragon-blooded officer on his staff.

3e Canon doesn't list the military commander in Greyfalls, so am fine with Cathak Kitono.

I am pondering picking up a spell with Terrestrial Circle Sorcery, but I have to grab another Occult Charm first to get it. Damn those prerequisites!

At least the prereqs can be very useful. Excellency, see spirits, strike spirits, and warding, all very useful tools for an immaculate.

Very true. I am now looking to see what I can juggle around to get the Charms, and what I want as my Control spell.

D. Rex D. Rex , buddy, you got time to join us with this brand of silliness? This one's a new edition and a new splat, but similar ideas and all that.

Sillyness, splat, ideas? Sounds great! I have no idea what's going on yet, but count me in!(will read this stuff here in a bit, slightly preoccupied :p )
