Humor If all those people actually did invade area 51, do you think they actually 'can't stop all of em', and will people actually 'see them aliens'

I've been seeing so many memes about this (and they're all total gold. like top quality memes plz send), but theoretically say they do invade, just a bunch of kyles and karens invade area 51, you actually think it might yield some kind of reward?

Any speculation as to what may be on area 51?

It’d help us deal with overpopulation a bit... closest thing to a reward we will really get. The US airforce has probably already moved any shiny toys out to a different facility by now anyway, either anticipating the raid or they’ve been using 51 as a decoy for years to hide anything vital in some other facility no one cares about.

Even though I think most people are joking about it, I wonder if this will actually have a bigger effect than anticipated? Like, I don't think people are going to find aliens, or even manage to get into Area 51 in the first place since I don't think enough people genuinely will go there, but .. it does seem to be making people realize, "hey, wait yeah, if we wanted to swarm a government facility in a similar way and we had big enough numbers, they couldn't stop all of us", which is interesting to think about I guess, lol

There was that ICE facility that was attacked a little while ago. If people do get the idea of just doing a human zerg rush into Government facilities and 2020's election riles enough people up in this already politically fragile environment then America isn't going to be sitting too pretty in roughly a year's time. Still, I've got the entire Atlantic Ocean and Ireland between me and the USA so that's good for me.

There have been soldiers reporting that they were called into briefings about a possible raid.

The issue isn't that they can't stop them all, because they can. The issue is what happens when you shoot that many citizens. You risk stirring up nation-wide revolts in a country with a lot of armed civilians. You won't know who your enemies are until guns are drawn.

If they don't shoot and people attack the facility, you have risks as well. People might do it more often. Outside influences might even goad people into raids.

All in all, it would be a bad scenario of the US government if a raid were to happen.

Not that one will happen. It's just a training site anyway.

I, personally am of the belief that Area 51 is just a decoy site to distract people from the actual place they're holding aliens. All the people will waltz in there and find everything worth looking at is gone.

It’s not the super secret government facility that everyone knows about where they’re hiding “the aliens” or stuff like that, it’s the super secret government facility that no one knows about.

I doubt that the armed citizenry would be too up in arms with a bunch of idiots getting themselves shot trying to invade a federal/military facility, though. It’s not like it’s the government/military going out to kick down doors and confiscate guns from law abiding citizens. It’s understood that you just don’t force your way into such a place without severe consequence.

Then you throw into the equation that at one point ammunition would run dry in the compound, (if live fire would even be used, or if people didnt instantly scatter and run), and you have one of the most catastrophic failures of the US National Guard in a very long time.

Idk man, some jeeps and maybe a tank? There's no way that somewhere like Area 51, fictionally popular as a place where the government "hides aliens," is where they actually hide them. If aliens were nearby, they wouldn't bother coming down, and if they did we'd know. Like the Covenant, they'd just glass Earth from orbit.

Yes, I doubt they actually have aliens inside of Area 51. It would be stupid to keep them in a place where everyone knows is where they 'hide' them. But apart from that weapons? Military stuff?

Honestly I don't think any civilan could make it. It is a government facility so I would expect some sort of heavy artillery to be there. They already have people protecting the perimeter of the place anyway. I also think since everyone knows about Area 51 anyway that they probably moved a bunch of top secret stuff to another facility that the public doesn't know about. There's always been people who've tried to get close and they were always warned to leave when reaching a certain distance. My dad was one of them lol

I might be wrong but i'm pretty sure the use of violent and lethal force is authorized against anyone trying to break into area 51. Even if a ton of people were to show up, most of them would get shot and the rest would scatter because of it. I doubt civilians would be any match for highly trained soldiers.

Honestly, I never really got why people think this could work.

Even if you ignore the possibility of the army using either non-lethal or lethal weapons to stop people from getting inside, what exactly is stopping the military from simply moving all their alien stuff (or whatever people think they keep there) from Area 51 a couple of weeks before the raid?

I'm guessing only a few people would be crazy enough to go there and do the attack. There might be a lot of people going there for a fun road trip but not to do the actual attack though.

Those that attack will just be detained with riot equipment. Even if there weren't any force opposing them, what would they even do? This is a very high security area and getting to the more secure parts of the facility would require clearance which nobody would have. So basically, they'd just be locked out of there and have nothing to do.

I think if the US gov plays it's cards right, they can go the full meme angle and just...you know, send soldiers dressed up as alien or wtv. People would laugh, take some pictures, maybe drink in front of area 51 and it'll be the end of it.

Most people are going for the Lol anyway, once they are satisfied it should be the end of it.

Pretty sure they can't dislodge/move whatever is in Area 51, because since the meme began, there's a lot of activity around the area. Youtuber coming to film, civilians checking the place. They are under constant surveillance, so moving anything in big black trucks would 1- catch the attention of the public and would revive the meme again, 2- would result in "proof" of alien life.

So they can't shoot at people, and they can't move what's inside the base, only solution left is to play along really.

YES. So imagine this:

They move all the actually top secret stuff outside of Area 51. They put some people dressed as aliens with professional makeup artists in a haunted house style room with like cryo pods and smoke machines and all that somewhere on the site. They can get a bunch of security personel to shoot the crowd with nerf guns or something when they all charge inside and let them see them aliens. They could sell souvenirs and people could take pictures with the 'aliens' and everything. Instead of being a national crisis and a big controversy; it could be like a new holiday or a celebration of the freedom of information and the power of the american people or something like that. Heck this could even be a new American holiday if they play their cards right.

If I was anyone of note in the US government, that's what I would do.
