That does sound terrible, there are all sorts of types on the internet unfortunately. While that is very terrible what happened to you I'm going to assume the website you need not mention catered to over 18 members maybe?

I was 60 chapters into a huge fanfic when the guy I was RPing with took offence that I wanted to do something strange and we had a huge argument and now I have to complete it myself. I'm 140 chapters in now.

So recently, I initiated a 1x1 with someone, and partway through planning, they made some comment about having trouble finding RPs. When I asked what they meant by that, they said that they were having trouble finding people willing to RP adult content with them.

Well you can look for somebody to RP Adult content with you, but you can't really ask around publicly; there's excitable kids here who are UNDER 18 and might get the total wrong idea and we certainly don't want anybody who's looking for them hanging around.
At the same time you can't try to trick people or bug them in DM - like trying to get them to do an RP, getting them really into the plot and only admitting it'll get raunchy half-way through. And even if they agree in DM you can't do it on this forum, you have to take it elsewhere completely. And you can't know if they define 'adult' as you do, so you can't really complain if you get reported for asking.
Still, I've run into people whose definition of 'adult' was 'let's show some ankle'. And then there's the other end of the scale...
