I think the first band I listened to was either Fall Out Boy or Panic! At The Disco. I remember the days when I was a young lad who listens to emo, until I fell into the heavy metal rabbit hole. Now I listen to bands like Morbid Angel, Slayer, Lich King and Pantera.

I mean, the first ever? Whatever song from whatever band reached my infant ears the soonest after my birth...lol

But U2 was the first band I actually became a fan of, when I was young. Early to mid 2000s, so I mainly listened to their 80s-90s stuff. My fan status started waning after that though.

Ah, U2. A classic band, I see you have good taste.

It was fun while it lasted although I haven’t listened to them for years, come to think of it—not since the early 2010s perhaps. Kind of makes me want to go back and listen to some of the songs...

You listen to Muse?

You listen to Muse?

I listened to a few of their songs several years ago, although I never latched onto them. I was never greatly into modern/pop type rock (if that’s what you’d call U2 or Muse) , I actually really enjoyed classic rock, a little hard rock/metal, Celtic, and Celtic rock during high school to early college. Breaking Benjamin was a big one I tended towards in high school, as was Linkin Park—I feel like both were/are quite typical for high school lol

The first band I could remember listening to was Green Day - when American Idiot came out. It was the first CD I bought by myself with my own pocket money. I mean, prior to that I was all into mainstream spice girls and Hanson. But I have a distinct memory of buying American Idiot and Ashlee Simpson’s album and getting super excited that I could put them onto my computer cause Limewire and Kazaa would take FOREVER to download one song hahah

Green Day you say? When I was a young lad, I listened to them all of the time.

American Idiot came out in 2004 so I was 12/13 at the time. My mum even brought me to see them live at the rock festival that year oh mannn great times

Earliest band I can remember listening to was my dad playing System of a Down for me and my brother when I was like seven. Good times.
disclaimer: It probably wasn't Psycho or Sugar

I think it was The Doors. I remember my mum and step-dad putting it on during long road trips and stuff. I picture rain trickling down the car windows as Riders On The Storm is playing.

Awesome taste.

Until I was about 12 or 13, I never really listened to one band in particular. But my first music love was, and I know this sounds stereotypical, Pink Floyd. I used to listen to Dark Side and The Wall over and over. For a while when I was young, I was quite the classic rock jock. I sort of frown upon my limited taste back then, but there are still some holdover bangers I still enjoy from that phase of my life.

As a child I remember being surrounded by all different types of music, because my sister is 7 years older than me,and my parents used to play music every Friday night while we cleaned the house up for the next week. But I remember listening to MCR, The Black Eyed Peas, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and the Goo Goo Dolls the most for whatever reason. Of course there are several more but that list would go on for days!

i honestly didn't really start listening to specific bands till middle school, bc up until then i just kinda would hear a song and be like "i like that song". but i do distinctly remember listening to a lot of Three Days Grace and Linkin Park when i was in elementary school. love that early onset emo phase :')

Aside from Disney music as a kid??? I think first band I really got into was Tokio Hotel when I was maybe 14 or so

Oh gosh. Until high school I would mostly just listen to whatever I liked. Random soundtracks, whatever my parents happened to be listening to. In freshman year of high school I discovered Infected Mushroom. I even got to see them in concert twice growing up. Ever since I've really been into all the flavors of electronic music.

First band I REALLY got into would be Dragonforce. I was hanging out with a friend in highschool, working on a MESA project at their house and playing some games here and there, one of them being the famous Guitar Hero 3. He played this song on expert and I fell in love with the song and chased them down immediately.

My mom made sure I was in love with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band the moment I could walk
