I have a difficult question....
Who thought it was a good idea to make a Dora the Explorer Live Action
And imagine how grotesque the Hunckback of Norte Dame Live Action
I know this post is old but what the actual fuck? The whole point of the story is to not judge people for what they look like. "Imagine how grotesque"? #LeaveQuasimodoAlone

I'm sorry for offending you Pandaskel, BUT I did not mean Quasimodo is grotesque (I have always thought him cute and charming actually) I meant CGI and stuff. Like, obviously half it will be and it will ruin his huggable character. Geez, the CGI has gotten worse like for example Golem from The Hobbit/ The Lord of The Rings compared to (yep, I'm going to say it) Sonic from his live action.
Again, I am sorry.

What are some healthy ways to take your mind off things when going through a depressive episode?

How do you know when you're ready to push yourself out of your comfort zone?

I have another question, unfortunately unrelated to frogs, sorry.
What else do you do with your time? Apart from planning the amphibian uprising and reading PDF's on a screen.
I play video games, especially competitive ones because I enjoy being good at SOMETHING.
I watch TV shows, play some board games and play games with my friends.
I enjoy cooking but I also hate cleaning up which leads to me finding the best way to make as good a meal while using as little utensils as possible.
I spend a bulk of my time sleeping though. I sleep like, 8-12 hours a day sometimes. But on some days I go on like little to no sleep at all so take that with a grain of salt.

Well, I love video games and board games. I'm pretty much the most competitive person with board games and I'm such a sore loser if I lose while playing monopoly.
I love cooking and I kind of love (ish) cleaning up after as long as I'm listening to music. Unfortunately though, washing up dishes is quite hard as I have past injuries to my hands which causes loads of pain if they're exposed to heat ))):

how do I be my best self?
Well with a general ass question like that I'm gonna need a bit of time to answer this buuuut here goes.
The way I improved myself(still am improving myself as I am far, FAR from who I want to be.) started by me trying to find out what exactly I want to be as a person. I grabbed a piece of paper or two and made 4 boxes, 2 for the present and 2 for the future. One of the boxes from both the present and the future were good habits that I had/wanted to have. And the other was bad habits I have/the future me SHOULD NOT have. This way you kinda have an idea of where your destination is.

Side note but a great perspective when it comes to problem solving is focusing on the actual problem/end goal itself, instead of the process. Like, don't focus on the fact that you HAVE to study, just that you HAVE to pass the exam which you do by studying. Sounds like a dumb tangent I know but it really helps to have that kind of mentality as it allows you to deal with problems fast and easily.

After that point you kinda just have to start from the smallest thing and work your way up from there. I wrote an answer that'd help previously. On the first page of this thread there's an answer to the question "How do I stop procrastinating?" which takes care of the whole "too lazy to do anything" thought that you get often.

Again, it is such a general question that I don't know what exactly you want which means that I cannot give you advice that is fine tuned for you. I can only give you general advice like, focus on good habits while trying to stay off autopilot to stop yourself from indulging in bad ones, always take a day at the end of the week or so to sum up how far you've come, reward yourself, think of the goal that exercising, for example, will give you instead of the bother it is to actually go to the gym, make your daily goals REALLY EASY like "put on your running shoes" instead of run an entire mile.

Wish I had an excuse like that aside from just being a lazy slime lmao.
I usually only listen to music when I am trying to relax/when I am going on walks/when i have nothing else to focus on. Othewise music is really distracting as it alters my mood to something that isn't always optimal for the task at hand.

That's quite true. I usually listen to music when doing chores, art, completing assignments and shizz. But I focus a lot more with sound in the background. And if I'm not in the mood for music, I find a random podcast on YouTube about something I'm interested in or want to be, so that it can fuel my brain I guess.

What are some healthy ways to take your mind off things when going through a depressive episode?
That is a very difficult question to answer for me as I have been in quite a few depressive episodes and I've not been able to find ways out of them which lead to me being miserable for like, several months. However, I did find a few things that might help out. First off, identify what your poison is. What I mean by this is that you first have to find the 1 thing you always do to take your mind off of things. Video games, netflix, books, anime, WHATEVER. The one thing you ALWAYS go to when you are sad and try not to do that anymore. I don't mean drop the hobby entirely but start going towards your "depression" head on instead of relying on something else to keep your mind distracted. Depression is a problem within you so it has to be solved from within, not by some other thing if you catch my drift.

You have to just sitdown and try to identify what is causing your problems. Depression is propogated by stagnation. By not improving as a human being. As a person, you CONSTANTLY, have to be getting better at something at all times so that when you compare yourself to your past self, you can give yourself a small pat on the back for being a better human that you previously were. You can get better at ANYTHING. Your studies, the amoutn of friends you have, etc. As long as it isnt something destructive, you won't stay depressed for long if you are getting better at something/improving any given aspect of your life.

For me, I had a lot of addictions that I just kept cycling through one after another to keep myself blind to what was causing my depression which was just being suuper fucking weak and unstable. Panic attacks, constantly needing help, being dependant on others for EVERYTHING and etc. You might find some of those to be good things but I was sorta raised in a way where if I depend on others for anything I cannot be happy.

I sorta just "sat down", thought about the future I wanted, thought about the things I wanted, what caused my depression, why I was just a sad sack of shit and after identifying everything, the next step was to just muster the courage to start those good habits.

I've found a correlation of sorts where I get more and more depressed, the more of my time I waste doing things that aren't beneficial. I'm never depressed when I am productive.

This "answer" obviously is tailored to me. It is sort of personal in terms of whether it works or not but I guess its worth a try. Like I said, sometimes it just doesn't work as I really am too confused/distracted/my mind is too full of thoughts to sit down and formulate a way to dig out of the mess I am in often. Hope this was of SOME use.

How do you know when you're ready to push yourself out of your comfort zone?

It really depends on the magnitude of the thing in question. When we're talking pushing yourself out of your comfort zone in terms of getting a new type of food at a restaurant, then fucking always. The more things you try, the more knowledgeable you are, the more refined your taste is and etc. etc. etc.

I have the mentality of it almost ALWAYS being a good thing to push yourself out of your comfort zone. You will only try to do so for situations where you know its gonna be beneficial for you. Like, if you have social anxiety, then talking to people/asking for more mayo or some shit can be daunting. But just do it ya know. Never hurts to start with small baby steps. When you are at the mcdonalds, go and ask for more ketchup instead of sitting there because they forgot to give you any. The consequences are largely exaggerated by your mind and it makes you more capable regardless of whether you do well or not.

Doubt is such a terrible thing. It is a feeling which basically means that you will almost NEVER know when its the right moment to do so. You won't. Doubt is like an in-the-moment reflex that stops you from doing the things you're not used to. Try to think of such situations beforehand like, "Next time I am in class, I'll HAVE TO ask my professor to email me book recommendations." And when it comes time to do so, you gotta try very hard to win that inner struggle and just go for it.

I know this is might be considered shallow by some but my general view on life is to be a better person than I was yesterday in SOME way. Improvement, progress and etc. All things that make me happy. So I HEAVILY promote any action that would contribute in that, with me becoming sad and shit when i don't improve.

Hope this helped you improve in some way ;D

I have another question
What would happen to your body if you ate wendigo flesh?
If we are speaking about the Until Dawn universe, then you would turn into a Wendigo. From what I can see of the monsters, it is less of a spiritual thing(like how the actual Wendigo myth is) and more of a transformation kinda thing. Like a virus that changes the user to a different species. I don't know jack fuck about the actual myth/legend so google's a better friend in that regard.

I love some podcasts. Often times I really don't care about what the guy is even saying. If he has a relaxing voice then I'm listening!
