Fantasy Recruitment

iijora iijora I really like that we have the tough guy type. He's approved!

Nenma Takashi Nenma Takashi

Here's the Character Thread in case you guys didn't see it. This is where all approved CSes will go. Now that I'm awake, I'm going to be working on getting more BBCode done for the OOC. You can find the OOC here. Feel free to start chatting in there. :grinningteeth:

I moved the IC to the "Realistic or Modern" section because that's really where it should be. I finished the OOC. CSes can keep coming in and I'll update the Character Tab accordingly. I will be dropping a poll so that players can decide if this game should have a discord or not. Keep up-to-date in the OOC with the Announcements tab. That's where all of my updates and important announcements will be made. ;3:

I hope this is worth it.

    Weight: 140 lbs.

    Hair Color: Dark brown

    Eye Color: Black

    Complexion: Brown

I like how you put a lot of work into this CS, and you also attempted to use BBCode to give it your own style. There is only one part of the CS that I cannot approve and that is the line in her ultimate technique: "...the only way to change her back is by letting her kill someone." If that is the only way to revert her back, then it will not work for this game. Perhaps if she was knocked unconscious?

"What is my mission?"

Character Name: Kuron.
Alias: No known aliases.
Age: Late 20s to early 30s.
Gender: Male.
Height: 6'4".
Weight: 220 lb.
Hair Color: Blond.
Eye Color: Blue.
Complexion: White.
Build: Muscular.
Occupation: Government Operative.

Written Appearance: Kuron is a very large man. His body is built like a tank, and can cause comparable damage to his handlers' enemies if given the opportunity. He is also a very stoic man. Impassive to a fault, very little seems to faze, or even excite him. Whether that is a result of his personality or his training, it is hard to say. His face is a nigh perpetual mask, aloof even in the midst of a pitched battle. Similarly, his voice seems to lack all traces of inflection, and when he speaks he sounds, not quite bored, but... Detached. Dispassionate. He is also capable of standing so perfectly still as to appear almost mannequin-like, but do not let this fool you. He is, at all times, all too well aware of his surroundings, ready to react at a moment's notice. When out on mission, he typically wears military officer's attire, with a large overcoat which only accentuates his powerful build. Underneath he sports military style fatigues and a thick, brown tank-top ideal for brawling.

Personality: Kuron's personality, a term which may be a bit too strong in this case, is focused around his absolute subservience to his government superior, the renowned foreign scientist Dr. Fischer, to which Kuron possesses a passing likeness. He obeys orders unquestioningly, and seldom acts without expressed permission to do so. He seemingly cannot be goaded, intimidated, or embarrassed. When he is drawn into conversation, he will answer questions honestly, assuming he is not forbidden to do so, but will rarely offer anything of value outside an inkling of curiosity as to his level of mental impairment.

Current Story: Kuron is a government agent, raised in the bowels of a mad scientist's secret laboratory, and trained from birth to challenge one man. His training recently completed, Kuron was given leave to walk the city, chaperoned by the good doctor, and accept any challenges that were issued him, as many as he wished. This was meant as a way to prepare him for the spontaneous combat situations which may crop up on the streets of Andromeda, and also as a show of force by the government, who were now parading their newly minted champion-in-the-making to all would-be challengers vying for the throne. However, once he was finally ready to face the grand champion in battle, tragedy struck, rendering the champion an invalid, and leaving Kuron without a purpose.

In the meantime, he has been charged with quelling some of the more audacious gang activity in the area, and he will do so, at the behest of Dr. Fischer. However, in the back of his mind, Kuron desires still to seek out the former champion, who has become but a lowly restaurant owner. For even though he is no longer the man he once was, Kuron cannot simply forget the years of training. If there is no champion to defeat, then what has it all been for? What is his reason for being?

Weapon(s): Kuron carries multiple concealed weapons within his person. In his right forearm is housed a retractable blade. His left arm may transform, up to the elbow, into a beam cannon which must be charged before firing. Missile salvos are housed under plates on each shoulder blade, six on each side. Kuron's body itself is a weapon, composed almost entirely of a high-grade metallic alloy just beneath his artificial skin.

Fighting Style: Kuron's fighting style is highly linear, and involves primarily punches, few kicks, and minimal holds, but also makes use of his unique android physiology to bolster his already considerable fighting prowess.

Techniques

1. Engines: Kuron possesses four retractable engines in each of his limbs (one behind each elbow, one behind each calf), which may be fired independently or in tandem to accelerate his punches and kicks, to enhance his run speed, or to grant him great aerial mobility.

2. Blade: Kuron summons his right arm-mounted blade, switching his fighting style to match it. His blade-work is precise and deadly, and the blade itself is capable of shrinking, elongating, and rotating a full 360 degrees at high speed.

3. Death's Hand: Kuron summons his left arm-mounted cannon, switching to a long range fighting style. The cannon emits a powerful beam that grows stronger the more charged it is, but must be recharged after each use. The rate of recharge is proportional to the strength of the previous blast.

4. Missile Barrage: Kuron unleashes his shoulder mounted missiles on a selected target, or target area. They have the option for remote guidance, but Kuron must stand still to do so.

5. Overclock: Kuron foregoes long range entirely and enters into an "overclocked" state, resulting in far greater strength, speed and endurance at the expense of discharging his energy at 2, 5, or 10x the normal rate, corresponding to a comparable increase in overall ability. While in this mode, Kuron's energy becomes a visible aura around him, an unusual phenomenon, considering his robotic identity. If his energy depletes in this mode, he is rendered completely inert.

I really like this one. I love how everyone keeps coming to me with these crazy concepts. This CS is approved. You can post him over to the character thread. I am really excited to see this guy in game. :O

Interested in this as well. Well, here's a character sheet.

Jean-Victor.png

Character Name: Jean-Victor Corbin; JV
Alias: Mr. Titanic (mostly to himself)
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height: 5’11’’
Weight: 171 lbs
Hair Colour: Silver
Eye Colour: Gray
Complexion: Dark Chocolate
Build: Lean Athletic Build
Occupation: Student, Waiter at a Butler Cafe in Goraku District

Written Appearance: JV’s family heritage can be traced back all over the world, as such he is visually a mismatch of different ethnicities. While his skin is notably dark, his eyes and hair are very pale. His clothes hide various scars that he had sustained over the years, though they are all minor. These scars cover very little of JV’s lean but athletic build, one he maintains with regular exercise. Typically JV dresses fashion forward, as aside from when he is training, he will put a lot of effort into his outfit, typically pairing nice jackets with matching shoes or a scarf.

Personality: JV is a bit of a fan boy. His life long obsession with ultimate fighters has shaped his path in life, as has his obsession with video games. Growing up JV retreated more into the media he consumed and interacted with less with other people. This self imposed isolation has caused him to be a bit awkward in social situations, sometimes stumbling over words, though he does make an earnest effort to get along with people. As he got older he has come out of his shell more, even having a job where he is constantly interacting with people. JV has an idolized archetype that he wants to become, the notion of the hero. JV wants to be the powerful man, the one that saves everyone. This calling has led him into trouble as he will stick his neck out to help others, even if he doesn’t know them. He still possesses endless optimism, an outlook that has survived contact with various harsh realities. Even dying has not stopped JV from always having a bright disposition. The only time you will ever see JV gets grim and serious is when in a fight, or if he is playing a very hard video game.

Current Story: Jean-Victor, or JV, grew up in Quebec during a difficult time. The land had just succeeded from Canada, declaring its independence. Initially things were okay, but quickly things went south. The economy couldn’t support itself, and thus the new nation fell into poverty and violence. To escape this dark reality JV took to watching fighting tournaments online. His favourite fighters were the Titanic Three, Jackson Cowboy Lincoln of America, Devan Israel Kato Fernando of the Philippines, and Eduardo Vaz de Salles of Brazil. They were a team of legendary martial artists based in Andromeda. Growing up JV wanted to be just like them, even convincing his parents to sign him up for Tae Kwon Do lessons.

After a few years JV was becoming a skilled fighter. However the worsening situation in Quebec prompted his family to finally leave the country. They eventually ended up in Hong Kong, one of the fastest growing cities in the world. It was in Hong Kong that JV finished High School. When his grades came back to be good enough to go to College, JV decided to attend one in Andromeda. So he got himself an apartment in Seifu district. The day he moved in was the day of an apparent terrorist bombing in Andromeda, one that claimed the lives of the Titanic Three. JV was heartbroken, but quickly decided to further dedicate himself to martial arts.

A week before JV was to start College he attempted to stop a mugging. What he didn’t know was that this mugger was a martial artist from the Black Scorpions. The ensuing fight ended badly, leaving JV broken and bleeding. He then died. He awoke in the afterlife in front of the Titanic Three. They had seen his struggle in life and had decided to train him. JV was enthused and began training with them in the afterlife, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The constant training taught him each of their signature fighting styles. During this time they informed him that they believed Noblesse had killed them. However before he could complete his training he was snapped back to the world of the living. Paramedics had revived him and taken him to the hospital. It turned out that while he had trained for a year in the afterlife, he was only dead for a minute in the world of the living.

After getting out of the hospital JV started looking into Noblesse. A search on the Internet brought the story of a legendary fighter to him, a man who Noblesse had apparently tried to kill but he survived. JV vowed to find this man to figure out how he could avenge the Titanic Three.

Weapon(s): JV carries two baston, a stick weapon used in the martial art of Kali. When not needed they are hidden in JV’s backpack, away from the prying eyes of the police or potential rival fighters.

Fighting Style: JV is skilled in various martial arts. Growing up he studied Tae Kwon Do, which has formed the basis of his fighting style. After studying under the Titanic Three, JV has since learnt Kali, Kick boxing, and Capoeira. When fighting JV moves around a lot, using dancing techniques, and will try to throw his opponent off before striking fast to land a blow.

Techniques
Six-shooter Kick: The signature move of Jackson Cowboy Lincoln. JV leaps into the air before delivering six ultra fast alternating kicks to the opponent before landing back on the ground.

Sarangay Rush: The signature move of Devan Israel Kato Fernando. JV lunges at his opponent before delivering a rapid succession of strikes with the baston sticks to their chest.

Samba Break: The signature move of Eduardo Vaz de Salles. JV breaks into dance, encircling his opponent while landing super fast kicks, before getting right back into the dance. This technique especially annoys other fighters.

Phantom Fist: As JV still has a connection to the afterlife, he can combine his ki with otherworldly energy. Currently the only way he can unleash it is by focusing it into his fist. If this blow lands it creates a shock wave knocking everything it hits way back.

First! I am very happy that you read the IC, and even ran away with adding some depth to this anime world.:grinningteeth:

Second, I was not expecting that plot twist in his background. It's very creative. Your CS is approved! You can move him to the character thread. We have a discord, so I'll send you a link.

Jose_Alexandors.png
Character Name: Addison Jose Alexandros
Aliases: Mr. Disrespect, That Sarcastic Bastard, The Macedonian Soldier.
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2
Weight: 178 lbs
Hair Color: White and black.
Eye Color: Gray
Complexion: Pale
Build: A well-built athletic build.
Occupation: Currently Unemployed, Ex-Underground arena fighter, Ex-Red Setters Gang member (Unoffical)

Written Appearance:
Addison is a tall individual with a muscular build and grey eyes. Surprisingly for a cage fighter, Addison's body isn't that heavily scarred and more than anything it's covered in bruises that are slowly but surely healing while he does have some scars they mostly cover his forearms and hands and more than anything are caused by his strange fighting style.

Personality:
Addison's personality is extremely complex, with very few beings fortunate enough to understand it completely. Addison is known for his fun-loving nature, always partaking in a laugh and appreciating a good joke. This joking nature often seeps into Addison's battles, where he is quick to mess around with his opponents, who clearly do not enjoy it. To further enhance this, he constantly displays a casual smirk on his face, as if he knows something his opponents don't, which often is the case. This smirk never seems to fade, even when Addison is being serious. Because of this casual nature, many misconceive him as a weakling, when they are, in fact, seriously misleading - something Addison likes to throw in his opponents' faces after this revelation.

He has an incredibly strong bond to his friends or comrades, putting their safety before his own at all times, even when the situation doesn't call for it. Because of this, Addison often makes his friends feel inadequate; needing to be protected instead of being the protectors. Despite this feeling of inadequacy, his friends continue to stay true to him, knowing that Addison will eventually lighten up on them. Besides being protective, Addison is also remarkably devoted to his friends and cohorts, a loyalty that many comments upon to be "beyond the bonds of friendship."

As well as being a jokester to his friends - and opponents - Addison is possibly the most sarcastic person anyone could ever encounter, with just about every word that comes out of his mouth being heavily dunked into a bowl of sarcasm. His sarcasm knows no bounds, as Addison has shown himself to insult several high-ranking beings. Because of the amount of sarcasm he spouts out of his mouth, Addison frequently speaks with sarcastic undertones, even when trying to speak of a serious matter, although this is completely accidental. This is often referred to as his predominant trait, as people have come to know him as "that sarcastic bastard," a title Addison wears with pride.

Even though he hardly ever displays such a side, Addison possesses a serious demeanor as well. This side is rarely shown, only being seen in the toughest of battles. However, this does not last long, with the Cromwell clansman reverting back to his usual sarcastic, fun-loving self in a matter of moments. When he is in his "serious mode," as Addison calls it, he is extraordinarily stubborn and bull-headed, sticking by his claims to the end, even if these claims are mere snap-judgments, which constantly gets the young man into quite a bit of trouble, especially when judging a being of higher authority.

Despite being a kind-hearted individual, Addison is also a very spiteful person; something he has no problem with. Although he doesn't like them, he is perfectly fine with holding grudges, with said grudges being everlasting. Many of his friends surmise that if Addison holds a grudge against someone, they "will have the worst life ever.".

Addison's last defining key trait is his overly-high opinion of himself. He is a self-proclaimed narcissist, frequently rambling on about how he considers himself to be more important than others at times. Because of this, he isn't quick to make friends, as Addison's narcissism gets in the way of establishing a friendly relationship with anyone he had not already befriended. This trait often puts his comrades at opposing ends with him, unable to properly work together as a team when Addison deems his abilities to exceed their own. However, he is quick to return to his usual self, believing himself to be no more important than that of an ordinary peasant. Despite these fluctuating levels of importance, Addison is still as friendly as always, even in his narcissistic state.

Current Story:
Addison was born and raised in Macedonia to a rather strange duo, his father was a historian and a fellow Macedonian while his mother was an ex-underground-fighter from Andromeda and to say the least Addison was given a strange childhood due to a fierce competition between the two in order to prove who was the better parent. From an outsiders point of a view, anyone would say that Addison's parents hated each other but in Addison's eyes he could tell they loved each other in a strange way. Most of Addison's childhood was split between learning Full contact karate and learning the history of his people but what happens when a young boy who for the first ten years of his life gets taught two things well a creative spark hits him and oh boy it hit him hard.

At the age of thirteen, Addison began to bother his parents about two different things to his father about how Philip II of Macedon and in turn Emperor Iskandar (Alexander the Great) was so successful in war which taught him all about the usage of the Macedonian Sarissa. He bugged his mother about something completely different her homeland of Andromeda mostly since it sounded completely different than Macedonia and somewhere he would like to visit more to find out about his mother culture. Over the next few years, Addison spent a lot of his very limited free time learning everything he could about the Macedonian Sarissa how it would be used and all about the different ways people fought with it. Eventually, he turned this knowledge into a fighting style which turned one arm into a polearm and one into a shield (figuratively).

The age of eighteen was the first time he showed his mother this style pulling it out in the middle of a sparring match with her, switching from his usual stance of Hachiji-dachi (feet are shoulder width apart, toes open at 45 degrees) to a much different one of his feet forward with toes pointing forward and one foot behind facing right still shoulder width apart acting almost like a brace to ensure he won't fall, his knee's slightly bent, his body turned to his right side, his left arm rose up until his hand was slightly above his head using its forearm and elbow to cover his face and the upper part of his body and finally his right hand tucked away in the right side of his body. Seeing this new stance come out of nowhere his mother looked confused before she began her assault again and all she was met with was a fierce defense but no offense.

Addison's mother was a very heavy striker mostly using punches rather than anything else so Addison was just waiting, for one thing, a low kick. It sure took a while but seeing as his mother wasn't getting very far with her usual tactics she was bound to switch at some point and as the kick finally came out a sly smile covered his face. As the kick went for his front leg it was quickly met with a very firm leg not moving in the slightest it was at this point where his mother figured out that this was just what he was waiting for and instantly tried to back up which unluckily for her was just what Addison was waiting for. Twisting his body to the left and taking a step forward his fist followed her and while she usually knew Addison's arm length surprisingly for her the fist connected. Confused Addison's mother tried a few other tactics all of which began ending with Addison getting more and more hits in but taking less and less. It was the longest sparring session of his life lasting over four hours and only ended since he could no longer keep up his 'shield' due to the amount of damage he had taken.

After the match, Addison's mother questioned him about the style and the answer she got was very unexpected, the question was simple "What is that style?" and Addison's answer was very simple "The hard work of two parents." Which didn't answer any questions until Addison gave the full explanation, that it was a mixture of Addison's mother's years of teaching him martial arts and based from his knowledge that his father had given him on the ancient Macedon fighting style. His mother smiled at hearing this and just nodded. "A spear and a shield...that makes a lot of sense now that I look back on it."

He left Macedonia on his nineteenth birthday and traveled to his mother's homeland of Andromeda. His mother put him into contact with one of her old friends who were fine with Addison staying with them as long as he pulled his weight and helped to keep them safe to which he accepted. As it turns out they lived in one of the worst parts of the Kinrin district and truth be told even though he was another mouth to feed was glad to have a strong figure looking over them.

Addison found Andromeda entertaining, to say the least completely different from what he had been used to. It didn't take long for Addison to get himself dragged into some trouble and he ended up beating up a few gang members who belonged to the 'Red Settlers' gang who were shaking down people for credits. A few days later the gang found where he was living and made a threat to the family he was living with to either pay the credits or join the gang to work off his debt, Addison not wanting to get the family involved moved out and went right to the gang offering to work off what he owed and he was quickly sent to one of the illegal arenas and did a few odd jobs for the gang and paid back what he owed. Even after he paid what he owed he spent four more years fighting winning the majority of his fights. He also got quite close to 'The Red Settlers Gang' and while he never joined their Gang officially he may as well have, he never got himself in anything where he would harm people who didn't deserve it and the gang never tried to drag him into anything like that it was more Gang fights where he helped out. During these four years, he had picked up a few aliases including 'Mr. Disrespectful', 'The Macedonian Soldier' and his favorite 'That Sarcastic Bastard'.

Addison leaving the underground fighting ring was completely unexpected and just happened one day out of the blue, he just took his credits and left. While not giving a reason he did have one. He heard about an extremely strong fighter, the champion of Andromeda, Koizumi Akashiro or at least he was the champion until something happened to him and he was forced to retire and that just interested Addison he wanted to know more about this man and if possible try and get some pointers on how to improve either of his fighting styles. The Red Settlers put Addison on the right tracks now it was up to him to do the rest.

Name: The Red Settlers Gang
Leader: Tanaka Mard
Description:
The Red Settlers are to say the least a small time gang made of mostly of people who have known each other since childhood based in the Kinrin area. Unlike many of the more violent gangs, the Red Settlers take in those who can't help themselves such as the old and young and do their best to look after them, while the way they do this is backwards since they rob the poor to feed themselves and the ones they have taken in they are not an evil group like some of the other gangs. The Red Setters are not a strong gang nor an influential one, in fact, it's due to that fact that the "Deathstalkers" haven't bothered taking interest to them yet. The Red Settlers all know basic first aid and a few know some more advanced things but due to a lack of equipment its hard for them to do anything. The Red Settlers in basic are a messed up band of Robin Hoods who rob the poor to give to the poor.
Specialty: Robbery, Mugging, Healing, Helping.

(I noticed on the IC it says writers can also submit a gang so here's my idea)

Weapon(s): While he mostly uses his fist and has never tried the physical version of the weapons he could use a Sarissa and a shield.

Aura: Addison's aura is a bronze color and if one was to look at it closely they would see that it sits around him almost like a suit of Greek armor.

Fighting Style:
To say the least, Addison uses a strange fighting style based on both Full contact Karate and his own style based off the ancient Macedonian Sarissa (Macedonian phalanx/polearm and shield fighting), however despite the latter being originally used with a polearm and a shield Addison has modified it to only using hands using one hand to act as the shield (defensive) and one hand to act as the polearm (offensive). Whenever Addison mixes the styles his fighting style would be akin to someone using a shield and a short sword having one arm to solely focus on defending while the other uses strong punches whenever Addison sees an opportunity. To say the least Addison's fighting style can be seen as very turtle-like seeing as he is mostly on the defensive provoking his opponents and waiting for an opportunity

Techniques
1st Stance: Basaltic Fist: A move solely using the Full contact karate move set, by moving his body in a set way and dragging his fist to his waist Addison uses a powerful punch to interrupt the opponent's attack. This first stance opens the 2nd stance for usage.

2nd Stance: Phoenix Kick: A move solely using the Full contact karate move set, This attack offsets the balance of an opponent by kicking the ground to send a powerful shockwave through it. A variation of this technique is to stomp the opponent's leg, and the shockwave still travels from the ground. After using the 1st and 2nd stance in a row it allows the 3rd stance to be used.

3rd Stance: Dragons breath: A move solely using the Full contact karate move set, First the other two stances are used in order to set up the airflow correctly for this attack. The user takes control of the flow and directs it towards their opponent in a powerful blast of air not only sending the opponent flying back but also cutting them.

Phalanx One Shot Loaded: Addison holds his left forearm in front of his face with the right hand allowing them to act as a shield and solely focuses on defending any attacks coming at him. During this time the user 'loads' Ki into their right arm the longer the defence holds out and the longer Addison has time to charge the attack the stronger it becomes. When Addison believes the attack is finally significantly charged he releases all of the energy in one deadly blow that can be released as either a close-range attack or a mid-range attack this attack leaves wounds akin to being attacked by a spear.

Full-Phalanx: By using his Ki in both his hands he can create a Sarissa and a shield out of Ki to allowing to take on the full power of a Soldier in a Phalanx, the Sarissa and shield are stronger than usual with the Sarissa being able to cut through stone like butter and the shield being able to withstand many attacks. Due to the demand of Ki needed to use this it often exhausts Addison after three minutes of usage.

(Final note: Many apologies if this is terribly written I was determined to get it finished today and it's now four in the morning so I'll do my final touch-ups in the late morning mostly it should be grammar errors and most likely a few repeated words or lines it should still hopefully make sense nonetheless I hope you enjoy reading it.)

I love the amount of detail to you put into this and yes, I'll upload the Red Settlers to the gangs tab. Your CS is accepted! You reminded me to add the currency to the IC too. That detail isn't easy to remember. Great CS! :3D:

Nicknames: Azuma, Musazuma, or Musy [more to be added as he earns more in game]
Alias: In Noblesse, he is known as "The Fallen Angel" and "The Felon" despite his misdemeanor charge. In prison, they called him "Zebra." Outside of Yutaka and the prison system, he is a nobody.
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 195 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Complexion: Cream
Build: Toned
Occupation: Unemployed
Appearance: Musa is a tall, muscular man with black, feathered hair and glossy sapphire eyes. He often wears somber colors and can be found wearing a jacket or coat with a hood, which psychologically, brings him a sense of comfort with the minimization of multiple sensory distractions. His body is toned and solidly built, the obvious sign that he is a fighter. Scars cover his entire body, a tapestry recording the multiple skirmishes he’s had in his life. The scars were what earned him his nickname in prison as “Zebra.” He doesn’t expect anyone outside of the prison system to ever know that name.
Beneath his clothing, Musa’s body is wrapped in places for extra protection: knuckles to wrists, feet to ankles, and his abdomen. He doesn’t take any chances. While he isn’t an active seeker of conflict, the conflict tends to come to him. A white piece of tape, one-inch long, crosses the bridge of his nose horizontally. His nose isn't broken and may have been broken before, but he wears this tape fashionably. It his thing. On first impression, there aren’t any immediate qualities that make him stand out. He appears gentle, but not entirely approachable, and when angered, that demeanor darkens like a storm’s approach on a sunny day. His aggression causes his body to change, while he doesn’t ever completely transform, beneath his human flesh is a wicked creature trying to escape. His nails will turn black and extend from his cuticles into curved sickles. His teeth will sharpen in his mouth, and his eyes will partially bulge with a yellow sickly hue. His muscle mass will increase, causing his clothes to tighten until they are tearing at the seams.
The beast has never fully emerged for Musa has kept it under control, but it doesn’t seem to stop others from trying to provoke it forth.
Family

  • Mayumi Azuma (Mother) - Alive - Noblesse

Do you know what it's like to fall from grace?
Musa was born to Fuminori and Mayumi Azuma, nobles of Noblesse. He grew up in the Yutaka District, attending schools of the highest prestige and growing to become the ideal Noblesse aristocrat. That was the path dictated for him at least, but his story didn’t quite go in that direction. Musa was born into a Hell that glittered like gold. From an early age, when he was old enough to be able to perform his first technique, his father deemed him ready for his violent grooming. If Musa was to reflect now on his childhood, there wouldn’t be stories of playing in the streets, joining clubs, or anything. He was in a dojo and when he wasn’t in a dojo, he was at school trying to focus on his lessons while his body and face ached with bruises. Musa didn’t believe he was a fighter. He just wanted to be coddled by his mother and play with the kids of the other districts. He wanted the life he glimpsed on television: a loving family and entertaining pranks. All Musa saw was the end of a fist until his mind and spirit broke. He thought and hoped that by not fighting back, by not attending training, and by forcing along his desired existence that his grooming would end. Mayumi even saw that her son was tired but having a child who didn’t have the Fighting Spirit, was an embarrassment in Noblesse. She feared for her son’s psychology and didn’t want to see him suffer anymore, but she also feared for their status—but not as much as Fuminori.
When Musa was thirteen-years-old, Fuminori decided to take his son outside the Yutaka District for the first time. He wanted him to see what his life would be like if he didn’t fight for Noblesse, and to best emphasize his point, he took him to the Kinrin District. The project was a horror movie compared to the pristine Yutaka architecture that glowed in comparison, and their shiny, luxury cruiser was watched as though it were a doe walking among a pack of starving wolves. Musa could see it in the eyes of the Kinrin residents. They wanted their car, and they would do anything to get their hands on it. They parked, and his father stepped out of the vehicle. Without a word, he left Musa there to cower in his seat as thugs immediately surrounded it. He locked the doors and curled up upon the car floor shaking as gang members tapped the windows with a drainpipe bludgeon. They smashed the windows and broke into the vehicle. While Musa called for his father, he was nowhere to be seen. The thugs dragged him out of the car, harassed and beat him. They talked about him as though he wasn’t a human but money—ransom money. As the thugs attempted to take him, the trauma caused something in Musa’s conscience to break. Musa did what Fuminori had desired for so long. He fought back.
The anger that had been but a germinating seed inside him sprouted into something dark and horrible. He only remembered blacking out and waking to aching knuckles, bodies beaten beyond recognition were lying about their car, and he was in his father’s arms. His father dragged him into the car and ordered him to put his seatbelt on as they bolted out of the district. They didn’t have to worry about the ACP because the ACP didn’t care about the gangs in the Kinrin District. Musa was left stunned only hearing his father do something he never did, praise him. Since that day, Musa’s training became worse and the darkness inside him became larger and darker. Fuminori thought that he could control it, but it was Musa who controlled it, and when he was sixteen-years-old, his father wanted to see it. Fuminori wanted to fight the rage within Musa, and he coaxed it out of his son against his protests. The two fought as though they weren’t kin. The match terrified Mayumi and she tried to stop Fuminori from proceeding, but he ignored her. The fight ended abruptly when Musa’s fist struck his father’s chest so hard that it passed through it and out his back. They were all horrified.
Mayumi wouldn’t stop screaming and crying and Musa sank to his knees, holding his father until the ACP came to retrieve him. His mother gazed upon him differently then. Her eyes were no longer full of love. They were full of grief, fear, and hatred. It was how Musa knew that his life was over, and the descent down the elevator was his descent from the frying pan into the fire.
At the conclusion of his trial, the judge declared his father’s murder to be a training accident despite his mother's accusations, claiming her son to have done it intentionally. Someone in Noblesse had convinced the judge…someone in Noblesse interested in seeing Musa grow. Musa was sentenced to one year in prison with a charge of involuntary manslaughter. He started in juvey and got into conflicts with the other kids that added to his time. No matter how much Musa tried to be good, the prison system was like a crab bucket. If the others can't get out, they made sure that he wasn't going anywhere. He moved to medium when he became of age. From juvey to medium, Musa had to endure the worst kids and adult trash the city had ever birthed. Most of the criminals were there for a good reason, and every day, Musa had to fight to survive their drama, hoping one day that he would get out. It was in prison that Musa accepted that the fighting would never end and that his father’s death hadn’t been a mistake. He had killed him intentionally. His inner demon grew ever larger while he was in, but he learned to tame it. He had to in order to finally beat the system. He was released at twenty-four-years-old; and he was a changed man—different from the Musa who had entered the prison nine years ago.
He didn’t bother to call his mother for he knew she didn’t want to talk to him. She didn’t visit him once while he was locked up. He was alone, but his mindset was no longer one of anger, stress, or frustration. He had accepted his inner demon for no matter what it was, it came from him, and therefore, it was him. Musa sought to make what he could of his new life, and first thing was first, getting a job. Naturally, like most fighters, Musa was drawn to Akashiro’s restaurant. He was hoping to get a job with the old man as a takeout deliveryman.
[/div] [div class="tabsContent tabsContentPERSONALITY" style="display: none;"]
mWyqprx.png
Musa has always yearned for what he dreams to be an average family. Where he could just go to school, play outside, and return home to his parents seated at the dinner table and tell them all the fun he’s had that day. Instead, his life has made him pessimistic. From his father’s murder to the abandonment by his mother and supposedly the Noblesse community, there isn’t much else life could throw at him—especially after prison. He deems himself a survivor. He has survived everything that life could throw at him, and in the end, it did make his skin thicker perhaps too thick.
It is difficult for him to sympathize with others. He is a good listener but as far as the embracing and comforting gestures, he has forgotten what that feels like and cannot pass it on. His day-to-day is full of indifference. When enemies approach him, no matter the size of the threat, he is hardly nervous or afraid. He has accepted the misfortunes in his life and anymore that can be thrown his way. There isn’t a challenge out there that Musa feels he can’t overcome and instead of seeing this mental resilience as a strength, he internally sees it as self-pity. There is a great deal of pain and grief that he keeps contained inside himself, and no one will ever see it for no one cares.
Challenges are welcomed with open arms, and if his opponent isn’t worth his time, then that is the kind of fight they are going to get in return. If he feels that his time is being wasted, then he will merely walk away. If his opponent continues to provoke him until annoyance, then he will put them down.
As indifferent as Musa seems, there is something about watching a weaker person getting beat that bothers him. It makes him reflect on his past when that weaker person was him. The person who wasn’t bothering anyone and who only wanted to be happy. Musa will often surprise himself by rising to stop the assailant if only to free his own mind from the recollection. Scum like that piss him off, and when he is angry, being within his cross-hairs is the last place you want to be.
The fighter does enjoy the simple things, however. Sitting and people-watching; he likes seeing people smiling and enjoying life. He likes a refreshing spring day, a cool breeze, and the rain. The sound of rain will put him to sleep like a lullaby. But most especially, he loves good food. When Musa eats, he feels as though he’s eating for two, although there is only one of him. He will put pounds upon pounds of food away and feel no shame. It feeds his muscles and fills his body with energy, and most important of all, it makes him happy. He hasn't had good food in some years. Prison cuisine is only good to those who have been desensitized to it.
Musa has become a cheapskate. He owns a moped, and if you ask him for a ride, then he will probably charge you for it after. Rent is expensive, and he makes every effort to pay it off every month. Eating at a buffet is cheaper than buying one meal at an expensive restaurant that doesn’t even fill you up. If anyone plans on dating him, then they can expect a cheap date despite him being a born and raised noble. Whatever scheme there is to make money—legally (for he’s in no hurry to go back to jail)—he will create it. He is always up to something.
Any manners and etiquette he had beaten into him as a child have been undone after being in the system for nine years. Musa can at times be absolutely appalling with adjusting himself in front of others, picking his teeth and ears, belching, farting, and talking with food in his mouth. It doesn’t hurt his reputation too bad. The fact that he was Noblesse-born is a secret.

Weapon(s): When Musa is getting serious, he will remove his fighting gloves from his jacket and begin sliding them on. The gloves are fingerless and have reinforced knuckles for extra damage. The boots he regularly wears are steel-toe. Sometimes, his moped is a weapon when he wants to run people over.

Fighting Style:
Musa’s fighting style is smooth, requiring little travel. He doesn't make any movements that use too much energy, and instead, conserves it. Musa’s techniques are his own martial art that he had plenty of years inventing while in prison. He will use his opponent’s strength and weight against them, executing throws, submissions, and bobbing and weaving around attacks. He knows where to grab an opponent to put them on their knees with little effort, and he will also strike dirty for there were no rules in the system. He will study his opponents, learning their habits and patterns, and he will often turn a serious match into a spar to gauge the strength of his adversary without revealing much about himself. This will at times require Musa to be deceptive, leading his enemies into thinking they have him at the ropes while he is assessing their prowess. Musa gauges because he simply doesn’t like having his time wasted with a weak opponent. If his opponent can't kick his butt, then why are they even fighting? He will at times lose interest and walk away from a fight. He doesn’t have a reputation to save any way. Very few people will see Musa’s true potential for it requires him to get frustrated or angry, and there have only been a few people who he can count on a single hand who have pushed him to that point. The fighter doesn’t get pushed to the breaking point easily—not anymore. Passion requires love and there aren’t anymore people he cares about in this world. Of course, this could change in the game.
When Musa is fighting an opponent seriously, he will often signal this by putting on his gloves. Fighting a serious Musa, his opponents of the past have described is like fighting two people at once, and they wouldn't be wrong. Musa calls the second being his shadow, but it is a reflection of himself and the darkness that is eating away inside of him. The being resembles Musa except for its pitch-black appearance. It is the creature that transforms, showing its true self, a monster that tries to break free of its flesh-covered shell. Some think its a demon. Some think he's a changeling. Musa knows the truth. That being is something he internally created. That monster is him. When the beast is released, which isn’t a full transformation for that hasn’t ever happened, his battle aura darkens to black. He becomes stronger, faster, and more destructive. His weapons are his claws and teeth, and his strikes become chaotic and vicious. His fighting style that required little movement is now erratic and all over the place.
Techniques:
  • Shadow Boxing: A play on words. Musa’s shadow will vanish from the ground and blend into its creator. Like the dark persona of himself, Musa’s shadow will augment Musa’s strikes, making opponent’s feel as though they were struck twice. Musa’s attacks will be outlined by a dark afterimage that follows his motions.
  • Shadow Throw: Musa will send his dark self running at an enemy to distract them, sabotage their attack, or latch onto them. Musa is capable of warping to his shadow’s location to execute an attack.
  • Shadow Counter: Musa’s darker self will absorb the assault from projectiles, whether they be physical or energy-based. His darker self will then melt, flying into Musa’s hands to be used as white or black energy blast (depending on what mode he’s in), returning the attack with double the damage.
  • Killer Instinct: (Beast Mode) When Musa’s aura changes from white to black, the dark aura is so ominous that it can make those of little courage cower and shake. The murderous intent that thickens the tension in his vicinity can lead to those shaken enemies making mistakes due to apprehension and bumbling around.
  • Unleashed: (Locked) No one has ever seen Musa’s inner monster actually unleashed. Many try to awaken it and many fail with their lives.
Battle Anthem:
Jekyll and Hyde - Five Finger Death Punch (Warning: Profanity)
Young Musa's Theme:
Home - Three Days Grace
Beast's Theme:
The Night - Disturbed

Owner's Feelings: Loves it. Haters can die.
Description: This is Musa's primary transportation around Andromeda when he really needs to go from point A to point B without boarding crammed subways with obnoxious people. The bright-yellow moped is not his preferred color, but when it is stupid cheap, who is going to complain? Every now and then it likes to break down, but it has been a reliable little thing. It might seem silly seeing a guy like Musa puttering along on his little moped, wearing a black helmet and safety goggles, but frankly, he won't give a....

This CS is good. I have only one request. For Alias, if she doesn't have one, just leave it blank. Besides that, the CS is approved and can be posted to the character thread! :grinningteeth:

As requested by the bossman.

Written Appearance:
Simon appears to be your average everyday man until you get to his face, which is essentially just a skull. Literally. No one truly knows how he functions without living tissue. Some say it's a mask, some say he's no longer 'human' in a sense. However, others just speculate he's just wearing a really realistic mask. He often wears a trench coat over some colored polo and tie. He often wears a fedora to cover most of his face so they won't fear his lack of skin.

Personality:
Simon is a calm, yet cheerful man who is kind and considerate to those who lives in his territory, willingly forgiving those who forgets to pay his gang unless it had been repeated for what he deemed to be for too long. He only strives to intimidate whenever something annoys him or someone does something wrong or some other family trespasses in his territory, in which case, he would politely ask them to leave and pay the fine or have their own face be melted off.

Current Story:
Simon was born as the son of the head of the Bonez family of the Underground who ran an illegal dojo teaching Arnis. He was set to be the heir of said dojo. and thus, was taught at a very young age.

Simon's skill with the sticks is great, to say the least. His powers was developed to be that of conjuring bones and skeletons. However, he couldn't control what those skeletons could do at the time, and during one of his training sessions on attempting to control one of his skeletons only to have it tosses a large bottle of a very potent acid that belonged to his father directly at his face. This caused most of his upper and muscle to melt off of his body. It was supposed to be fatal, however, just as his corpse was found by his associates, Simon's body woke up, as if he was merely unconscious. That's the moment that he found out that his powers also prevents him from dying easily.

Years had passed, and Simon had been living a peaceful life in his territory and dojo, occasionally forgetting that he no longer has a face. All the while improving his skills in conjuring and animating skeletons

Weapon(s): Two small, sturdy, iron enforced bones as clubs...He sometimes pulls out a revolver. sometimes

Fighting Style: Simon uses the Arnis martial arts which requires two sticks to use. Or in his case, two bones. He is mostly self taught. He only uses his revolver whenever he is fighting to kill.

Techniques
Club Dance ~ Named specifically because of the fact that he mainly uses his bone clubs as a medium for dancing. He spins his forearms in a rhythmic fashion that's usually in quick succession as the sticks hit their target in a cross-diagonal pattern.
Bone Zone - Simon pokes the ground with his bone clubs, causing several other bones to rise from the ground to impale his opponent.
Graveyard Gun Down - There are two variations to this technique. One variation has Simon summon four skeletons by his side in order to throw their own bones at their opponent in a somewhat cartoonish fashion while the other variation has these skeletons gun down the opponent with actual guns.
Stroke Of Death - Simon tosses one of his clubs and performs the 12 striking techniques. Each strike will cause a purple spark which will cause the bone of the section that was hit to hurt. After the 12th strike, he catches the club from the air to perform a 13th strike, kicking the opponent in the chest or the nether regions.
Dance Of The Damned - Stroke of Death but with 2 clubs and ends with a bullet to the forehead.

Simon's skill with the sticks is great, to say the least. His powers was developed to be that of conjuring bones with acidic properties. He discovered these acidic properties when he accidentally got hit with his own conjured bone clubs in the face, effectively burning his face off. It's a miracle he survived that. Since then, he uses custom made bone clubs which he wouldn't be able to use the acidic properties of the bones unless he willingly activates it.

There's going to be a lot that I am going to ask from you since you're planning to operate a gang:
  • I will need the name of your character's gang, a description, and where they are located.
  • I am going to need character sheets for every NPC henchmen, mainly, the ones your character will constantly interact with and directly be in contact with more often than others so like his "right hand man or woman."
  • If they are in the Kinrin District, I will need to know what is their relationship with the Deathstalkers since they are the largest group in that district. Do they have an alliance, are they a sub-organization under them, or are they at constant war with them?

I don't see how bones and acid go together. They seem like two different themes. If his back story involved acid in a manner say he maybe died in acid or something, which explains why he's a skeleton, then I understand the death and acid theme. But you're making his bones automatically acidic, and it doesn't make much sense.
