*shrugs* I wasnt expecting for him to just run off like that so I have no clue
Yeah sorry about that... I really should stop moving out too soon, it's a problem I'm trying to work on. Would you mind if I cut off that last bit just this once? Then we can talk a bit more.

Daniel Reaving Daniel Reaving You know, I'm having a pretty good time with our little prequel, but these last couple weeks have been awfully quiet. Any chance we can do some progress sometime soon?

Ineptitude Ineptitude

The Lord of Darkness is younger than the the other Lords that are currently alive, as he rose to power after formerly being a Protector of Knowledge for the Symbols and being left to be sacrificed to the then Lord of Darkness. He was always a pure Soul Eater, even then and he managed to kill the current LoD and began his bloody career. Hunting down his old friends out of revenge, and achieving his title then. He then went out on a kind of killing spree and wasn't till later did he form the Dark Army. He abandoned his name as soon as he became a Lord.

Age Breakdown: 450
*Symbols are really young when they are chosen*
20 - Killed former LoD
30 - Revenge on his friends
30 - Recieved Title
-151 - Rampage
151 - 200 - Loner type, but not quite as bloody
200 - Formed Dark Army

So he's technically been in rule for 320 years but only enforced his rule for 200.

Huh, neat. Headcanons are already being formed in my mind because of this info. Anyway, got a name change, just so ya'll know.

Haha, alrighty I didn't notice when I first posted this.

I'm happy you're forming head canons and all that, it's quiet exciting for me to hear. Fyi there are 10 Elites, the three we will run into most in this RP would be Mask, Shame, and of course Sear. The others don't really like Sear since she bumped them down even though she's younger and petty stuff.

So many posts... I'm loving it!
Don't get me wrong, I wanna join you guys but I'm in a tricky situation because the prologue didn't quite finish and I'm not sure what Daniel Reaving Daniel Reaving wants to do about it. Hopefully, we can get this issue worked out before anything too big happens in the main story.

Well, since it's a ghost town your in currently you could probably get the actual drinks in a nearby town and pop into Reaper's Heaven and we could include you guys then. If you have other ideas with your prequel for how it will go already, that's cool to.

I hope it all works out. ^^

Since the age gap between the two of them ain't that big, I have a headcanon where Gloxinia actually met, or at least encountered the LoD before his, you know, downward spiral into the path of cruelty and tyranny.

That is possible, and could definetly spice things up. I approve of this headcanon, and can't wait till we see how they interact.

Yes, his name is Damien, he just doesn't allow anyone to call or know him by it. He decided this after he got his title, do if she met him before she could know.

I really like this idea, but it's been a long time since my prequel buddy posted in any of these threads... I'm afraid he might have lost interest.
For now, I think we should just say all that happened in the prequels was a while back. I'll join on my own as soon as a good moment presents itself. Probably after you're done introducing yourselves, don't wanna interrupt that.

Arcanimus Arcanimus You know, when I created Scelus I haven't realized I might have made him so underpowered (power and knowledge-wise) he could risk becoming irrelevant to the story. Do you think we should do something to fix that?

What kind of skill does he have right now? Like, does the scythe itself do anything or is merely a weapon that he has made an extension of himself kind of thing. Also, in the Mortal Realm a lot of winged beings especially the Aves (I know he's Chiropteran) use light blades on their wings that are strong enough to cut the hauls of planes used by Clera for example. ( I hope I remembered to say it's a modern like fantasy world)

Being a mortal itself could be an advantage in itself if we need to run any missions in the Mortal Realm since any supernatural being is recognized as such and since a lot of places have created religions involving them- could be a problem.

In order to make use of anyone's character, we have to think outside the box, since facing the LoD head-on; Mask and Shame are his technical 'heir's and combined could brute strength it. But what the Rebellion is doing is getting as much support from out the DA and inside so when the LoD gets offed the people don't turn on the Rebellion. Because the LoD is smart as heck, and a lot of the DA have been manipulated into being loyal making it dangerous with the stakes being more lives lost.

If you want to change anything, I won't stop you. None of the current playing characters have actually witnessed what Scelus can do, and therefore you can still make tweaks to his character. Like: The voice that has been narrating is another soul using the same vessel as Scelus; or something wacky like that, that could potentially give a boost to the character in the future.

I think we can accommodate him to the story, but I can see your concerns. It's your call, as it is your character, I am willing to help in any way I might be able to.

To be honest, I'd rather keep him as is because I like playing as the one "normal" dude amidst a huge mess of superpowered beings, even if it does mean I'll have a minor role in fight scenes. After reading this, I feel like I have a much better grasp on how I should properly answer Sear's question, so thank you for that XD

About the scythe, when I created Scelus I've designed some headcannon-ish lore on it to give him some kind of supernatural power later on. Basically, I imagined it as a magical weapon that could give him some Soul Healer abilities (as well some deadly power when fighting soul-deformed creatures such as Vezira) after Scelus reaches a certain amount of character development. The weapon doesn't have a will of its own, but it does require someone who's used it a lot to use its powers correctly. If that doesn't really fit into your lore we can discuss the possibility of having Scelus himself turned into a Soul Healer at some point in the future.

But when it comes to skills he has to offer right now... I believe the best perks are knowledge on the mortal realm and society (he's been travelling for several years by now) and the representation that a mortal brings to the rebellion that you've mentioned. I should have a proper post defending these points in the main thread by tomorrow.

I'm glad you think you're character can fit well, I think having a mortal among the Rebellion would give a nice depth.

As for the scythe, I like the idea. Considering that there is an item called the Soul Collar, think of it as a choker kind of deal, that can store the souls killed by a Soul Eater so they can not kill quiet so often. So, another Soul item could be cool; maybe having it have the power to give mortals similar abilities to the Soul demons (Healing and Cutting, but Scelus could see the Healing path mostly because of personality or whatever). But, the Soul Collar has the major price of killing the one you love most, and all it does is store souls. So this scythe would have to have a similar price weight compared to what it can do, so it would be interesting if the scythe is costing the bearer something.

So it does fit the lore surprisingly well and would imply other items could be found; which would be a cool thing for me to figure out.

And honestly, I like having a character be built up through the RP, showing the effort they put in. None of my characters can do that since they are just not there anymore, so it would be nice to have a player working on a skill set like that. And I'm sure if you decide to make it a Soul item, it would tick of the LoD in the final battle since the LoD is in possession of the Soul Collar's and is the one making them fight and all that. So even if he would be minor physically in the final battle, a mental effect could probably be given just because he has it and the LoD didn't know.
