Got something you want to ask? Here's where it goes!

Please remember to post your entries to the Palette Challenge Event Board.

What type of design should this be?
Is can be any design you want for whatever purpose. Let your creativity flow~

i'm a relatively new member here, so this might be a silly question. however, has there been a contest like this before and if there has, are we allowed to see examples?
i must admit i'm a tad lost as to what to do and my interpretation is creating a character sheet skeleton

As far as I know of, there is no previous type of event like this one. You can design whatever you wish though, be it a character sheet or something else. It comes down to the palette and your overall BBCode design.

ah thank you *^^* that makes things easier to work with, haha

Just as a suggestion, that font you're using is extremely tiny on my screen and rather hard to read. You might want to use larger ones in your entry. ^;3^

aha oops. i'm used to tiny fonts thanks to my handwriting, but thank you for the tip~ would size two or three be good?

Also, can we submit one entry per palette or just one entry, and only use one palette?

It's your choice. :3

Where do we submit entries?
-points to the #11 rule and the information in this first post-

It is one entry, just one. So not per palette. You would choose one palette from the three choices and that would be your single entry.

I think the default is 4, so 3 should be good. 2 might still be very small. Depends on the rest of the design, I guess.
i tested two and it was very close to one ^^' i don't want to cause eye strain for anyone *side eyes my coding dump*

Hype away ^D^ We were so hyped we all answered!

Just for clarification, is this bbcode for CS, IC, or something else?

If there is something off withe the design (once submitted), is it possible to go back and tweak/fix it? Such as if something doesn't scale right. Also, if the entry was made in a certain mode (aka width isn't toggled, making the website wider), would stating that in the entry be permitted? I've tested a few times with coding and trying to make things cohesive for most displays, and that has been a factor for a lot of designs. That and Nyte Lyfe versus Default versus Color Me.

Off-topic; your rank X3Screenshot_50.png

On-topic: You can always go back and edit/tweak it up until the deadline. Any edits after the deadline may result in the entry being disqualified since we need to judge it for the design of that time. So if one judge views it later, it's not different from what the other version the judges have seen.

You are free to clarify how a design is best viewed so that judges and others can see how it intended, but the more flexible the better. I personally know the flexibility struggles. >_>;; I also know that the judges all use different devices, resolutions, and themes so it's a bit complicated unless I was to say "only design for X theme." That would be no fun. D:

xD Can't help it... I do like that rank title... >w>

Works for me. xD

But, yeah, I wanted to ask at least about listing how it was made. Flexibility does help (and there's a lot of testing that's done to at least see if it works on desktop). But, I know if there are going to be complicated entries coming in, it will break on mobile horribly. But, thanks for answering my questions though. =w= /

So... do you not get judged on aesthetics? Or does that fall under Legibility?
(Also, legibility is spelt wrong on the score tables)
Oh, and does there have to be text involved or a use in mind, or can it just be something totally useless?

Oh and will Black and White (and probably none (site theme based default)) be available for us to use as text font color?

Wait hold on if the palette challenge board is something where we can only see our posts and the staff posts, how are we going to pick a member's favs?
