Futuristic Reach for the Stars.

The DoomyFish

The Avatar of the world soul.

the year is 2648, And mankind has spread far. Mercury, Venus, the Moon, Mars,And several large asteroids make up the Terran empire. Their wealth,Population, and resources are superior to their enemies. They believe that humanity has the right to full expansion and control over the universe.

with combined population of 59 billion, and several times the credits of their enemies they seem to have the upper hand in this war.

On the other side of the we have the Plutonian coalition. Consisting of the six moons of Saturn, three moons of Jupiter, Pluto, and several kuiper belt asteroids. These planets believe in freedom and the right of all things to survive in peace. They have a population of 41 billion, And the only advantage they have is the fact they are able to move freely through space and control a much larger segment of space, though they loose territory they are able to tale it back once the enemy leaves.

Many are in the dark as to what started this war, But it all started 10 years ago with the disbanding of the Military unit known simply as "Fury". Each member was believed to be one man army in their own right. The 12 of them together could topple planets. They disbanded after the end of the Binarian revolution. After their disbanding the group, the balance of power was Disturbed. One of the fury became the political leader of the plutonian coalition. Their leader Disappeared, the others went back to live their individual lives. Now amidst the new war filled solar system. Three Of the fury have been found dead..

(this is the story of the nine remaining Fury squad members, I will be playing the role of Igneel Bashura , the Ex-leader of the Fury squad. Other members can fill whatever role they want for the squad, and can decide what they did in the ten years since they disbanded.)

Igneel Bashura

jupiters moon Europa, Between The cities of Kahmil and Dagos.

Igneel grunted as he climbed shakily back up the shaft from the ruins he had just came from exploring. His head still buzzed, trying to Accept what he had seen. Pausing he gazed down, A mile and a half beneath him was the Black monolith he had found. In all the ruins he had been to he had never seen anything like it, it was old, possibly older than the moon itself he couldn't get a date on it at all. It's age isnt what he was shaken up about however. When he touched it he was given...Visions.

he didn't know when it was, or where it was, but he saw planets dying in mass. Green lightning crackling around the planets before they burst open. Then the scene changed, but not by much, new planets with fleets this time, but with the same outcome. His view would change occasionally, and he could see the green lightning spreading, entire galaxies were torn apart and nothing seemed to be able to stop it. His view changed once more and he was on a ship, black metal all around, in front of him stood what looked to be death itself, yet cold and metallic. It didn't seem to be aware of him but as terrifying as the black metal reaper was, it was out the window, the milky way galaxy...They were coming here...

He snapped out of his trace and continued climbing until he reached the surface again. Upon reaching the surface he climbed onto his MagLev. He didn't know what to do, but he did know one thing for sure, The furies Were needed...

Lisadoa Halistar

Another day of just sitting here and doing almost nothing. Lisadoa leaned back in her chair, starting at the holographic computer screen with a dead look in her eyes. At the top, it said "Reports" and below the header was a section where the names of the employees, their computer ID number and a description of the problem appeared. Though, it was blank. And it had been blank for the past 4 hours or so.This wasnt the first time that Lisadoa had nothing to do, and it certainly wouldnt be the last.

Lisadoa sat up in her chair, extending her hands out towards the holographic keyboard. She pressed a few keys and the computer locked itself. She got off her chair, leaving her room and went down to the break area, going to get something to eat. As she walked, some of her co-workers said hi. Respectfully, she nodded and gave them a soft smile. She approached one of the vending machines and got a bag of chips. She took the bag, walking back to her office as she opened it and began to eat, sitting down in her chair and leaned back.

Hoss's newest lead had him on Europa, he was after "The Faceless" one of the many Damon spies that still lurk amongst the human systems. He knew it was close, and easily picked it out by the specific vital signs he had traced from their last encounter. It took the shape of a woman, dressed fancily with a mans arm around her waist. Hoss lingered outside the cafe, this alien held an immense priority level because it was hired to take the forms of political figures recently. This caused quite a few problems, and the Terran Empire hired Hoss one week ago. The alien was slippery, this contract had gone on long enough.

"Scramble." Hoss spoke with a deep voice with a slightly cybernetic overtone. The Den ejected Wolf, launching him like a torpedo a few hundred feet in the air. Wolf's wings unfolded and his tail slid out, locking into place and firing up his thrusters, making a quick loop in the sky before levitating silently over the roof of the cafe.

The door of the building was kicked off its hinges, many people immediately began screaming at the sight of a 7ft tall cyborg man displaying such aggression. The alien knew what was happening and bailed, abandoning its male companion and bolting out the back door. "Sorry everybody! Wrong place."

Hoss casually walked to his ship, waiting for the inevitable target lock.

Wolf turned as the back door shot open, the alien ditching its woman form to become a many legged creature similar to a spider, it picked up speed and began zigzagging through  alleyways. Wolf shot off after it, easily catching up and painting it for Hoss. Wolf took a few potshots with his plasma caster, punching a few holes in the walls before pulling off and forming up with Hoss.

"Nice work, bud." Hoss praised wolf, though the action seemed redundant. The digital paint worked wonders, it highlighted the target in bright red through walls, galaxies, whatever. Only catch was that he had five minutes or it was gone. Hoss's ship was a Terran fighter with a personal warp drive, nothing too fancy. He caught up to the alien in no time, though it appeared to have gotten to a ship of its own and was launching into orbit.

"Wolf?" Hoss's voice had a mild inflection of amusement. "Give it to em." Wolf shot after the alien ship at supersonic speed, causing a sound boom behind him and a horrible screech. The alien had reached  the mesosphere when Wolf fired off his mercurial sidewinder missile. There was a soft hiss followed by a crash and a cacaphony of twisted metal. The missile hit directly in between the two main thrust engines, causing them to break off and the ship to idle in mid air for about a second before it came crashing down.

Wolf sped around the falling ship, strafing the cockpit twice with white hot bolts of plasma. "Gotcha bitch." The sound of Wolfs voice was that of a comedian from the twentieth century known as Dave Chapelle. It returned to Hoss's ship, following him to the crash sight.

Jackie Young

Jackie softly blew the long strand of white blonde hair from her face as she pulled her attention to her scope. She was on some job for some corporation that wanted some guy from another corporation dead. She didn't know, she never really did it was all the same to her. Jackie never knew what her jobs were anymore, being a mercenary it was almost all the same. All she knew was that she got the job and if carried it out and reported her success the promised money would appear in her account almost immediately after. It was the best system, they didn't hear her talk, she didn't really pay attention to them talking; in other words, this kind of work was right up her alley. The last time she actually knew what her jobs were was when she was a member of Fury, but that was long over.

She let out a small breath that she'd been holding as she felt the kick of her rifle after pulling the trigger. The woman didn't need to check if she'd hit her target, the few screams and gasps told her everything. Almost as fast as she'd come Jackie had cased her sniper and was on her way off the roof top that she'd make her sniper tower in. She pulled out her holographic phone after she'd gotten a fair distance from the building. Its done. The words were enough for her employer, as always, she never failed. Before she knew it her prize was sent to her account and she was on her way, done for now.

John Carpenter

John is currently in a small metal airlock in a freighter hurtling through space above Mars. He was put in this airlock after being caught by the local police patrol and forcibly boarded. Sure, he didn't legally obtain the ship, and yes, he did attempt to shoot at them, but they didn't have to do this to him. It was quite a good thing he planned ahead. As the guard outside was giving him a dirty look with his hand on the release button, John winked and reached for a small switch under his jacket. The ship was suddenly full of the knockout gas from the remote-controlled explosives he had deposited in the air ducts. The guard outside fell over, unconscious. John had his celebratory fist pump and "All-right!".

"...How am I getting out of here?" He reached for his communicator, and looked through his contacts, eventually settling on Lisadoa. He put the comm to his ear. "Heyyyy Lisa, I need a little help."

Lisadoa had finished her chips. The bag was neatly folded and on her desk. Still no reports or any requests for assistance. She was just about to doze off before, on her HUD, an incoming call displayed. She glanced at the name and quickly sat up. John Carpenter. It was a name she hadnt seen ever since Fury had disbanded. Curious, she answered.

John....?

She listened as John spoke, slowly raising an eyebrow

Help with what?

Considering that he had called her, she assumed he needed her help hacking something. But there was still the small chance of just normal help.

"Okay, say, hypothetically, I were trapped in an airlock on a Mantis-class freighter. There's an interface here but it's like ancient. How could I, hypothetically, direct the area of power shutdown on just the section of the hypothetical airlock door, without blasting myself out or knocking out life support?"

@FabulousTrash

On the other end of the communication, Lisadoa couldnt help but release a deep sigh. John had gotten himself in trouble. Again.

Just get me into the system. Follow my instructions

As she instructed John to set up her way of entry, she unlocked her computer and pressed a few keys. The computer suddenly restarted itself and when it rebooted, there was something different about it. Way back on the first day she took up her current job, she installed a few of her own programs, making it so that in a pinch, she could switch and remotely access different computers. At the moment, she was accessing her own back at her living space.

She waited until John had hopefully did everything she instructed him to do, then began her brute force attack, shoving mounds of data into the small back-door she had John open. In a matter of minutes, she was inside the ship's network. And in just a matter of seconds, the airlock door opened, freeing John.

I suppose you need my help escaping the ship itself?

@Maloney

"Aw, no thanks, Lisa. Hey, next time I'm on-planet, I'm buying you drinks."

John precedes out of the airlock, grabbing his helmet off of the ground outside of the airlock.

"Wait, are you old enough to drink yet? And what planet are you even on? What has it been, ten years? What have you been doing? Still hacking up a storm?" He walks out, down the narrow hall, up the metal stairs, carefully stepping over an unconscious guard, taking the controls in the cockpit from the police captain, who's fingers are curled around the joysticks.

Igneel Bashura

As he skated by on his Maglev bike he hear a sound and looking up saw a smoking ship spiral down in the sky before slamming hard into the moon. The crash was enough to jolt him from his thoughts but only slightly, it felt as if his skull had Something bouncing around inside of it. "Odysseus go see what's going on." he said to the drone, which detached from the back of his helmet and whizzed to the crash site finding no signs of life, the only occupant a pilot with six scorched holes in its chest And several limbs missing. He decided to go into the debris and see who it was who crashed...but when he got to the edge of the crash site and looked into the flames he seemed to zone out. His mind ran in circles frantically he tried to remember every detail of his visions, anything he could find to remember a date, even if just by the positioning of the planets. Try as he might there was nothing, he could only see the milky way and couldn't tell where earth was from this vantage point. He seemed to have lost track of time however, when he snapped back he was sitting despite not remembering taking a seat. His body ached, his head ached, even breathing seemed to hurt. Finally remembering he sent out Odysseus he called him back, and sat in the rubble trying with no luck to form much of a coherent plan, something that used to come naturally...

John, I'm only 30.

Lisadoa couldnt help but giggle a little. It was nice to re-connect with an old friend.

I'm on Terran. More into the business of fixing computers now, but havent forgotten my roots.

Since she had nothing else to do, she quickly tapped into the cameras placed around the ship, watching John as he walked into the cockpit and took over the controls.

So how much are you selling this ship for?

She leaned back in her chair as she continued to watch John through the cameras. At the same time, she brought up the ship's flight log, curious as to where John was. The most recent recorded location was Mars, not too far from Terran.

@Maloney

Jackie Young

Jackie of course had access to the airwaves of the police patrol of Mars, the planet she was currently on. It was a necessity of her job in case anything happened that would damper her ability to complete her contract. Since she'd just finished one of the easier assassinations of her job she listened to the airwaves, she always enjoyed listening to the aftermath of her work. She couldn't help but notice that in addition to the speak of the assassination she'd performed there was buzz over a few officers bragging about catching John Carpenter and a ship he'd stolen. She was however not too surprised when quite soon afterward their was panic over the fact that he'd gotten out and they'd lost the ship. Of course. She thought blankly, remembering her old squad members. No doubt he'd contacted Lisadoa for help with that. Rather than reaching out however Jackie continued on with her escape as she stashed her rifle and pistols in her apartment, just one of many that she owned.

"Nothing anymore, the cops marked it as stolen. I'm just gonna pull into harbor and call a ride... I seem to have misplaced my money, could you loan me some credits so I can get a cab?" I start up the engines to pull my orbit down to a colleague's dock. It'll take a few hours, so I settle in.

How do you.....Yeh sure, give me a minute

Misplace money? John was coming up with such random excuses for being broke. But, Lisadoa did have some money to spare. She sent John 100 credits and disconnected from the ships network and looked at the time. 2 more hours before her shift ended. She could do it.

There you go, 100 creds. Dont go wasting it.

With that, she ended the call and released a breath, leaning back in her chair as she stared up at the ceiling.

Another day on the grind  thought John as he made his way to his mining pod cigar in his mouth. As he reached his pod he threw his tool belt into the hatch and ran a once over on the rig. He tugged on various hoses and pipes making sure they were secure. As he walked around to the front he paused at the name on the side. In big red cursive font with an arrow running threw it was the name Little John. He ran his hand over the name as his mind started wondering. It had been so long since anyone had actually called him that. As he thought about this the sounds of screams and gunshots echoed through his mind. He shook his head to try to clear it before climbing up the side of the pod and hopping inside. Once inside he put on his belt as he flipped the starter on and waited for the pod to start up. The pod whirred and chugged then the sound faded. "Goddamn piece of shit." John said then hit the hull of the ship which made it cooperate and roar to life. He wondered if they would ever get those new pods in like they had said. He hoped so as he grabbed the sticks and pushed them forward guiding the pod to the exit. "This is the LittleJohn requesting clearance level 3 for sector 14b."

"Ya one sec John..." he could here the tapping of keys thru the comm. "...ok LittleJohn your are clear, good hunting."

"Ya thanks Regg." John said as he guided the pod out the station and into the black. The mining crew had been out here on the belt for some time getting various rocks and minerals where ever they could. It wasn't a small operation and it was steady work which was just what John liked. He guided the pod to his sector and pulled up to an asteroid. "Alright baby, why dont you sing for me today." he had switched controls over to the mining claw and drill leaving the pod in auto as he carefully aimed and drilled at the rock pulling of chunks and putting them in the hold in back. This was his life now he had to get used to it even if it wasn't what he wanted.

Jackie Young

Jackie ended her sub connection to the police airwaves as she had completed her job and strolled out of her apartment, with her pistols rather than her rifle. Of course they were concealed but she still had them with her. Jackie rarely left home without a weapon, it had always been like that even before Fury. Though after she'd been a main component in the peace that had lasted briefly before their separation she was even more insistent on having her weapons with her. As she began to explore Mars,  a planet she wasn't on too often she received a message from her 'boss' on her holographic screened phone. Good work Young. We'll contact you with your next contract's contact soon.

Drax

drax sighed softly as the main ship of his little army the derian

IMG_1472.JPG

came out of warp drive just outside of mars. They had been traveling for a little while to get to this place and now that they were there he smiled a sinister grin. "Pilots pull into the atmosphere. Bring us to a float over the planned raiding town." He told the pilots of the massive ship in his normal sinister and demonic voice in which the pilots quickly followed suit as the big ship floated down through mars's atmosphere till it came to rest over  a rather tiny city like area secluded away from the major areas. Nodding with acceptance drax looked to one of the pilots he spoke. "Make sure guns are set to take down any fleeing ships. But make sure the ships taken out aren't destroyed." He said before he quickly headed to the massive Bay Area where a large force was collecting by a drop carrier which acted as a sort of FOB for the raid

IMG_2208.JPG

as Drax walked towards the group they all saluted him which he saluted back before speaking. "Remember. I want no civilian casualties. There is a military base around there so I want most of our troops centered there to take them out before we move to the city." He spoke to the commanders that had gathered around him before nodding. "Remember alright. First priority are the weapons and supplies in that base." He growled at them before dismissing them then loading onto the drop carrier himself.

It wasn't long before the drop carrier was flying to the army base. All commanders checking in before Drax gave them the all go. Then the chaos truly started. A bomber quickly flew into the base and took out there communications before All the hangars opened up on the drop carrier dispensing many drop ships filled with troups

and fighters to protect them.

IMG_0375.JPG

The fight was on now as the small military force that was there did there best to defend the base

Hoss landed his ship near the burning wreckage, hopping out and immediately noticing Captain Igneel Bashura crouched near the rubble. His vitals were higher than humans should be capable of, his brain was lit up like a Christmas tree, Hoss knew something was very wrong.

"Cap? What the hell? It's been ten years!" He called out to his old leader as he approached him, putting a large hand on his shoulder and standing him up. "Talk to me Cap, what happened?" Bashura was completely out of it, Hoss wondered how long he'd been out here. He was so close to dehydration and starvation that he could drop at any minute.

"Talk to me!" Hoss shook Bashura for a few moments before sighing and clonking him over the head with his Argentum fist. Bashura crumpled instantly, snoring inside his helmet.

"Sorry Cap, but you need to sleep." Boss threw Bashura over his shoulder and scanned the body of the dead alien, confirming the kill for the Terran empire and recieving his credits at that very same moment.

"Saint? Cap's in bad shape, hit him with the "special treatment."" He laughed to himself at the meaningless joke, waiting as Saint detached herself from The Den, taking most of the bulk with her. She hovered perfectly still, a soft chirping ebbing from her thrusters. (In the voice of Glados from portal) "Captain Igneel Bashura?" She scanned him more thouroughly as Hoss dropped him off in the ships living area. "His mind is under immense strain. These impulses are not natural in any way, something has done this to him." She hovered slightly closer to Bashuras head, almost whispering in his ear. "Don't worry, I've got you." Hoss fired up the ship to leave, he was planning to head to 60K city to get Bashura better medical care, when he received a distress beacon from Pheobes, a small city like area away from any other major areas on Mars.

"Wonder what's going on? Hang in there Bashura, I'm sure you'd understand our little pit stop."

Hoss exited the atmosphere and activated warp drive to Mars.

He was there in what felt like a second, spotting the many fighters deploying from the large main ship, and began devising a plan.

(Sure why not XD be great to see him go up against Drax)

As John pulls into a lower orbit, he spots something on the horizon. A fleet. Specifically, a Brood fleet. The same fleet he had stolen this freighter from. Bloodthirsty aliens with an unknown leader, hovering in atmosphere above the exact city he had planned to land in. It was also the only city he could land in with the limited amount of fuel.

"Oh shit."

The ship's comms started pinging, linking on to its mother fleet's communication array.

"Oh shit."

The comms blinked green, showing a successful connection to the mothership.

"OH SHIT."

Lisadoa walked out of the massive skyscraper that was her workplace. Hands in the pockets of her jacket, she walked at a semi-brisk pace, her head low. In the inside holster of her jacket was her personal weapon. A gun that couldnt be bought anywhere conventionally, she had acquired it during her time in Fury. If anything, that was her only token from that time period. Everything else, she had either destroyed or locked away.

As she walked, her HUD was buzzing with activity as she used the nerological interface to interact with her eyepiece. Reading her brain waves, the eyepiece needed no physical interaction.

She was sorting through all her work documents, making sure she had everything she needed for tomorrow. As she went, she came across a folder labeled "Classified". She already knew the contents of it, but opened it nonetheless. It held documents related to Fury. Profiles, mission logs, audio logs, even the article that highlighted the disbanding of the group. Lisadoa glanced through all of it. She already knew the information from the back of her head, so it made no sense to her to keep the data around. Quickly, she deleted the folder, continuing to walk as she made her way back to her apartment

N21 was a simple creation. Nothing that could be called thought passed through its electronic mind as N21 deposited the last crate of the shipment into the storage shed. As the lone metallic figure walked to the locker that it might have called home, nothing of note ran through its processor. It was a mind designed to be unremarkable. Made by a creature who was so afraid of boredom that it had created a lessor mind to shield it from the long, monotonous hours. But there was something special about this automaton. A single, simple circuit. Wired intimately to each module of N21's electronic brain. And now, as its ear and eyes heard news of an invasion of its home planet, though it did not understand, this circuit began to light. A few electrons ran the circuit, sustaining but not growing. It was not enough, but it was a start.

This had happened before. The circuit stealing electrons from the robot's senses. The last trigger had been an industrial accident. Before that a shouting foreman. A crying human. The footprint of a gun caught briefly by SONAR. But none had been enough to fulfill the circuit. Now however, N21 had found something much stronger. Two firearms, obscured by a couple layers of clothing by these were distinct. The circuit ran brighter. The mechanical needle of a relay switch wobbled but did not swing. And outdated piece of technology chosen for a very specific reason. It was not until LIDAR caught the side of the woman's; Jackie's face that the needle finally shifted across, sending current to a single wire feed into a shielded box in the robot's chest.

N21 was gone. Eiger was awake.

She might have called to Jackie, but N21 had no mouth so neither did Eiger. Eiger had removed it to play the part of a dumb robot. Instead a little cheap speaker made a beep as Eiger began to follow the woman through the streets of Mars. Jackie would not recognise her. Her face was different, her reinforced plating removed to hide Eiger's military origins. Approaching the assassin like this was dangerous. But Eiger could not stand the boredom of being a robot. She needed to play at humanity again.

"Sir we have a stolen brood ship coming towards us!" The capitan of the FOB ship said to drax as a survelince of it popped up on screen. "As soon as it's in range connect to it and disable controls, bring it into the hangar of this ship. I'd like to have words with it's theif." Drax said with a growl as the people on the control deck did as commanded. As soon as the stolen ship connected to the system all controls were taken away and the ship started to fly for the FOB ship soon landing in the main hanger where guards quickly surrounded it guns up and aimed at the ship while drax made his way down to the deck. "Get out of the ship with your hands in the air now!!!!" A gralor yelled in the demonic voice they had at the ship

@Maloney

@akumashioni

(you could probably sneak into the FOB ship)
