Loren breathed a sigh of relief at the news. He preferred it if his Mortal persona stayed out of the view of public eye. It'll be easier that way. Although it could be a possibility that police did see Loren and they just covered it up for some reason... "Man, did anyone follow me home last night?" Loren thought to himself, paranoid of the possibility. Loren zoned out for a bit before preparing to go outside.

He sees the mage from last night, leaning against the mail box

Loren looks through his closed blinds and spots... the same guy he met from last night! Loren quickly backs away from the window, shocked. "Damn, he must've followed me home" Loren muttered before retreating into his bedroom. How did the man in mage clothes even find out where he lived? Loren assume he did so through "magical" means judging by his clothing. It could be possible, considering the world he lives in.

Last night, Loren made sure he wasn't followed home by looking over shoulder constantly and taking the long complicated route home. Could the man be using a cloaking spell? If he was, he may as well be following right behind Loren with him being none the wiser. Loren really didn't expect to be dealing with magic this soon! Loren changes into a different set of casual clothes. Whatever the case, Loren shouldn't make too many false assumptions about the abilities of that man if he has no idea what's he's capable of.

For all he knows, Loren may have just been sloppy and the man in mage clothes just jumped at the opportunity.
