Vampires are a thing of stories. Creatures of the night, strikingly beautiful... but completely made up.
But what if they weren't?
Over the past decade or so, new nightclubs have been sprouting up across the United States, and even abroad as well. There's nothing that connects them, at least on the paperwork. They're just places where people can go, dance, drink, and enjoy the company of others, whether it be friends or strangers. Not so different than your average nightclub, right?
Wrong.
These clubs are run by vampires, and while they front as regular clubs, once you go through the backdoor-- you're in a whole new world. Not just anybody is let through these doors, either. Those who are allowed through are those who know and understand that vampires exist, and these back rooms are where they go to allow vampires to feed from them. Each of them is marked by a special tattoo-- a butterfly. The exact meaning behind the butterfly is unknown, though there are many theories. Getting your blood taken by a vampire can be painful, or it can be pleasurable, depending on the circumstances and situation. It's worth it, though, because if its pleasurable-- well, that's enough of a reason in itself. And sometimes, the vampires are gracious enough to give in return. Money, objects, power... it's different per individual.
When a nightclub came to a medium sized town in Virginia, people were pretty excited. When a girl goes missing, people didn't even look twice at the nightclub. But there were a few of her friends that did, and they're determined to get to the bottom of what happened.

Hey! So basically, this roleplay is about a vampire run nightclub. I'm looking for people to play vampires and humans, and as of right now, none of the humans should know about the vampires. I might consider letting one or two human characters know, but we'll see. I'm not sure how big I want this to be, but I'm going to judge that on interest. All genders and orientations are welcome, and you can play as many characters as you can handle. Maybe don't start off with twelve though. xD
The basic premise of the plot is that a girl goes missing, and people didn't think about vampires being at fault because-- they don't exist, right? But the people that know her (our characters, who don't all have to be friends, btw) know she wouldn't just up and disappear. They want answers, and they end up getting sucked into the world of the supernatural while trying to get those answers.
When you express interest, please tell me what you're interested in playing. Thank you!
Rules:
1. Keep all drama in character. OOC drama won't be tolerated, and if you can't remember this, you'll be kicked. I'm looking for active people, but I'm also okay with slower paced roleplays, as long as I know people are still interested. Don't be a dick.
2. Discord is mandatory for ooc for this roleplay. Sorry if that's not your jam, but I personally love using it to connect with my fellow rpers, and I feel it helps with ooc for that.
3. Romance is encouraged for this plot, but not a necessity. We love wrong turns and speedbumps! Dark themes are also acceptable (and encouraged by me) for this roleplay, so again, if romance and dark themes aren't your thing, this probably isn't the rp for you.
4. Communicate with me and your fellow rpers. If you've lost interest, won't be able to post for a while, etc. Please let us know! Be able to give us something in your responses, usually a couple paragraphs is what I ask for.
