Sounds like a plan. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for their characters.

Hey Mr. Sherwood Sherwood sir. A quick question for you. Since I'm going to go with the Bear Man, what stats on personal armor do I use, considering that I'm going to be deployed in the Silverback? Should I go with the Ursa powered armor in the UEEF Marines book?

Good question. The Ursa armor is going to be a bit too big to use in the Silverback, and it has almost as much MDC armor as the Cyclones. You will have a variant of the CVR-3 armor, with the various environmental protections to it, but with the following level of MDC:

Head: 50
Arms (2): 50 each
Legs (2): 70 each
Main Body: 150

Hey, Sherwood Sherwood ! Another question for you. Do we know about the vulnerability of the Invid to attacks against the center eye? I am thinking that we should, since our races have some experience with dealing with them, but I don't want to make any assumptions.

I'd say that yes, you are aware of just how vulnerable the eyepiece of the organic Invid is.

I promise my Garudan will not be as traumatized as Mercy or Sesi, my water bender from the Avatar RPG thread RP. He will be a right chipper fellow that delights in destroying invid.

Dice rolls incoming, really this time.

IQ, ME, MA, PS - 2D6 #1 = 6+6+ (rerolling two 1s) + 6+ (rerolling 1) + 5 = 23
IQ, ME, MA, PS - 2D6 #2 = 3+5 = 8
IQ, ME, MA, PS - 2D6 #3 = 2+3 = 5
IQ, ME, MA, PS - 2D6 #4 = 3+3 = 6
PP, PE, PE, PB - 3D6 #1 = 6+6+4 = 16 +3 = 19
PP, PE, PE, PB - 3D6 #2 = 6+6+(rerolled 1)+5 = 17+4 = 21
PP, PE, PE, PB - 3D6 #3 = 3+4+2 = 9
PP, PE, PE, PB - 3D6 #4 = 6+3+(rerolled 1)+ 6 = 15

Question, Sherwood Sherwood

For my Garudan to be able to use Cyclones and such, will his stuff be modified for his physiology or is he expected to have Mecha Engineering to be able to modify his own gear so he can use it properly?

I guess the question goes towards the story, will they be out in the field with rare moments of resupply or outside for a long period of time? Generally with STORM teams that seems the case.

I do not have a problem of having him get the Mecha Engineering MOS as an extra one...but I just wanted to make sure

His gear will be modified to fit his body without having to worry about Mecha Engineering. Of course, if you wish to take it anyways, feel free to do so. If I were to be completely with the rulebook, the Garudan's can't wear the Cyclone at all, but I am changing that in this game because I like the race and wanted to be able to bring them in.

I think I am just overthinking the skills...so I am going to go simple...

STORM Commando OCC, Sniper Recon MOS, Sure Shot Perk.

More Rolls Incoming

Speed = 1D4x10+10 = 30+10 = 40
Additional HP = 2d4 = 4+<reroll one>+4 = 8 + PE Number
Height = 4 feet + 3D6 Inches = 3+3+6 = 4 feet + 12 inches = 5 feet tall
Weight = 80 + 1D6X10 = 80+50 = 130 lbs.
STORM Commando OCC SDC = 1D4x10+10 = 40+10 = 50

I actually was able to get all the skills for Sniper Recon between other skills and the Commando skills...so I ended up going with

STORM Commando OCC, Extraterrestrial Environment Combat Specialist MOS, Sure Shot Perk

Sounds like a plan. We are getting closer to our game start-up. We just have to see what GunMan2 GunMan2 comes up with and we can rock and roll.

Yup I am putting the skill percentages and bonuses together. Is there a particular cyclone that will be assigned?

Most of the time you'll be able to pick which one you wish to operate. Since there will be some times that you'll be working in space, I plan on having a Silverback jet pack that can get Psychie's character able to join you on spaceship boarding actions while the rest of the team has their choice of space Cyclones.

On the ground, you will have your choice of the various 038's, 040 or the 050 models.

At the moment, I'm planning on adding a communications technician to the party as an NPC, and possibly a corpsman. Just depends on what Gunman2 wants to pull into the game.

Finally, I was looking at the various MECT bonuses for the vehicles, and I noticed that the Silverback does not have Automatic Dodge in its Battloid mode like the Cyclones do. Considering that it is a bit larger and will be drawing its own fair share of fire, I am considering letting those with the MECT for it to get the auto dodge so the pilot is not burning through all their actions on evasion and can fight back.

I fully endorse this plan. Thank you.

You are welcome. I don't want to see your fuzzy Pooh Bear get blown away.

Onni (Garudan) - Additional Dice Rolls for SDC and Spd bonuses from Skills

Onni is set up in the characters thread. Let me know if you have any questions or if I need to make any adjustments.

You are one smart cookie with your 29 Iq! Sweet. I like the look of him. Everything seems to be in order. I'll be adding our NPCs shortly, and if we don't hear from GunMan2 GunMan2 soon, we'll go ahead and start with a slightly smaller team.
