As for premise, unless anyone has any other ideas, my initial premise is that you're all basically going on a summer break hosted by Hope's Peak (or equivalent thing for Ultimates) before the actual ride got hijacked by the mastermind and they trapped you in the place-that-is-yet-to-be-determined.

Summer break, eh? So is it meant to be like some sort of recreational orientation event? It'd be kind of difficult to go with the assumption that everyone already knows each other, unless we're doing the usual memory shenanigans. Either way, that definitely lends some credence to the amusement park setting if nothing else.

Oh, I'm sorry! I totally missed your post in my sweep of the two threads. Yeah we've got a spot for you for sure.

Glad to have you here. I am getting a bit concerned about the others though, so I'll go ahead and do a quick roll call to make sure everyone's still on board.

So PlatFleece is our GM, and Squad141 Dreamtique JDaQuavion plus Orichalcum Tiger and myself make up our current player roster. We've got room for one more for a total of 6 players, but for now that's what we're rolling with. I'm not asking for any kind of huge post or reply to anything that's been said in the forum so far, but a quick message to let us know you're still in would be appreciated as we get closer to making this thing happen.

I know Dreamtique is unsure of whether they'll be able to join in the first place, so no need to worry so much there.

I'm still down, and I can play either or both of the characters I discussed if necessary.

We could have the semester start in Fall and everyone moves in in Summer and they do a whole trip for the class to get to know each other. I'm just trying to figure out how to best ease it into a setting that seems more like a vacation spot than just straight-up school. Memory erasure is usually the go-to DanganRonpa method as well so we can do that too.

Since we're going suuuper basic and with no real need to consume DanganRonpa. The only thing you should know coming in is that your character, likely a high-school-aged student, is a person with a single talent, this talent makes them the best in the world at one specific thing, like a superpower but for real life. You're enrolled into a school for these elite students. Chaos ensues at some point though and you'll be thrown into a murder mystery death game, but your character wouldn't know that going in.

Anyone else feeling it, or am I gonna have to jump ship again?

I think a Mansion/Estate could be really fun! Have sort of a regal aesthetic going on. I’d love to include some rooms from Clue and Kill Doctor Lucky, games where someone is killed mysteriously in a large mansion.

Lol, I also thought you were new to the series based on the wording, so thanks for the clarification. If there is something you should do for pregame prep, I'd advise taking a look at the resources I linked in the first post of the recruitment thread. Read through the core rulebook pdf at least to the point of character creation and let us know if an idea comes to you about what kind of character/Ultimate you wanna play.

If you have any questions about anything else you see in there, ask 'em here too. And feel free to fill out a character sheet (located in the same folder as the pdf) if you feel so inclined, though I'd imagine Plat gets the final say on how things look before we drop them into the roleplay. There hasn't been as much discussion here as I would've liked considering how long it's been, so absolutely chime in with whatever you can think of, even if it's trivial or just for clarification's sake.

Maybe I'm being a bit pushy or impatient, but I think it's about time we made a move towards getting this started. PlatFleece , can I ask you to get at least a basic Discord server up and linked here for us to jump into? If you already have one ready, that'd be great too, but for now we just need a place with a bot to handle dice rolls. The rest can come after that.

Sorry for the wait! Flashwolf96 and everyone. Had a busy weekend. It's still barebones, but here's a Discord server to discuss and play the game in. I'm trying to figure out what bots to use since there's a couple I know, among other things. I'm assuming nobody has any objections then.

Nice work Went ahead and joined up. The rest of you guys too, make sure you join, or make it clear if you can't for whatever reason. We're pretty far behind in the planning considering how long we've all been around, so we might have to get a bit harsh in our approach going forward. We've already got someone on the waiting list too, so there's a bit of room to cut one or two peeps who might be slowing things down.

I know that sucks, so if it really comes to that point I'll definitely take on the super awful task of making that decision, though of course Plat still gets the final say no matter what. But for now I'll give it a few more days before I even consider it.

On that note though, if anyone is having a change of heart about their ability to participate, please please please don't be afraid to say it. No one's gonna get mad or anything, and again we have someone on backup who seems eager to take over for anyone who can't make it. But enough of all that junk, hope to see you guys there!
