This is where we talk plot and goof off. Let's see if this one'll get off the ground this time. I hope so.

Rules:
  • At least a paragraph. No one liners. There are no exceptions to this rule.
  • No taking over other people's characters.
  • No godmodding, powerplaying, or other such stupidity.
  • Don't use out of character knowledge in character (ie. If you know backstory something that your character would not know, that character cannot know that thing).
  • No pulling out random powers not previously mentioned. Technically that counts under no godmodding and powerplaying but just in case.
  • Try to use proper grammar and spelling. I'm don't exactly have the best track record in that department in the first place so I am very forgiving.
  • Make sure your post is readable. Especially if you're using BB Code.
  • On a similar note, make sure your CS is readable if you use BB Code. You are not getting accepted if I can't read your CS.
  • Please fill out the character sheet to the full extent (not counting optional parts).
    • Backstories and personalities can be short but cannot only be a few words (if you need an example of a good short personality and backstory section, take a look at Gravitational Force's character sheet. While its short and brief it gives a good feel for who the character is).
    • Non-Standard items, magical powers, and unusual racial traits must be explained (a race with higher than average strength need not be explained beyond listing it on the sheet, a race that can draw on the power of the moon does).
    • Non-Race/Magic Skills must be things you could reasonably learn.
  • No real life photos for faceclaims please and thank you.
  • Don't be an ass. Just because your character's a cynical meanie (and I'd appreciate if we cut down on those too. Way too many of them in roleplay if you ask me) doesn't mean you have to be.
  • Have fun and stay awesome!

Good evening.

I know you mentioned that the storyline begins 30 years after humanity has joined galactic community. I am curious if we are using a real world calendar or a fictitious one? Maybe both? I would think that Earth would have the calendar that they've, and we in the real world, used while there is a calendar already in use "out there" that spacefaring civilizations adhere to.

I'll work on my profile sheet tonight. Will have a mini profile sheet because Shane comes with a robot buddy. Enhanced doll or robot spider? I've used a robot spider in one RP with another character and was thinking of a doll for Shane's canonical character profile. I'm debating what Shane's role is. He does know computers and has been a hacker in a prior storyline, but he has done other things. The robot's role was originally meant to be his friend when he was younger since he was friendless but eventually also became a helper.

Love your character name BackSet BackSet . It reminds me of a character I ran into in an RP many many years ago who was a humanoid fox with a name that alluded to him being a fox.

I like tropes a lot.

As for the calendar, at the moment I'm pretty much just using the human one but a Standard Galactic Calendar is not out of the question.
 
I apologize in advanced for basically every post I make as Fennec. I am a Sex repulsed Cis-Male Asexual Aromantic so my idea of what flirting is is... questionable.

Find by me. I usually prefer written descriptions, anyways. If I hadn't realized that Diane is pretty much exactly how I image Fennec I would have just described their appearance.
 
So, we only have the three of us right now but just in case we can't get anymore I want to start brainstorming plot ideas early. I think we should something to show off all out character's abilities and skills (at least, the main ones) so I was thinking either a vault heist or a fancy party assassination.
 
Learning towards vault. I could see Shane using a hologram to confuse viewers as to whether or not the vault is being tampered with.

Seneca can either remain on the ship keeping tabs on the away team or on the ground helping them break through to get the Macguffin.

Speaking of vault, I have various ideas in my head that could serve as future capers. For example, I have a race of lizard folk named the Garenians. Also, a company Zodiac Corporation which is like OCP from Robocop.

The Zodiac Corporation was a MegaCorp (thank you TVTropes) in a 1x1 storyline I started many years ago called Zodiac's Children. Ten years ago? It took place in a post-apocalyptic Earth where humanity lives in domes and companies are synonymous with the government. A character named Justin was an anthro monkey who worked for Zodiac as a messenger. The Zodiac's Children program which all featured young people who were humanoid versions of the Chinese zodiac. The storyline didn't last too long though. The storyline so far was it was just a just another day until the company is hostilely taken over by a more unscrupulous company. Justin, the program director, and an anthro dog make a run for it just in time.

I later used the company in a spacefaring storyline where it was responsible for kidnapping a distinguished roboticist , the same who created RSAD-X.

I'm throwing the name into the ring if we need a morally ambiguous company. Their logo, by the way is a stylized Z inside two concentric circles. The first/inner circle had the symbols of the Greek zodiac and the outer/second circle had the symbols of the Chinese zodiac.
