If you edit your previous post with an acrobatics check I'll go ahead and edit the result in before the next round of posts. Good move, by the way.
Was just about to ask how you wanted to resolve the roll, it's edited in now!

Thankyou for the compliment. I wasn't sure if you'd all be like "why tf should I care about this random NPC's family history," but then I thought it was a perfect way to frame how fragile the world around us is. Glad you liked it.

You can mark it down but he technically hasn't received it yet.

Edit: Wernburger Wernburger while you add that, please represent your rations and other items on your RPN character sheet when you get a second

Stok Stok

Items and rations and sundry items and such added to the sheet.

T Taleek a wonderful surprise this afternoon players. Taleek has just confirmed their entry as our last party member. Please post your sheet in our character section, and discuss with StorytellerLathos StorytellerLathos how your characters feel about each other. They undoubtedly would know each other somewhat from living in the Great Hyrule Forest together.

Stok Stok I wanna have Oro search for berries, herbs, and maybe some fancy sticks before heading straight to the stable. What should I roll for that?

Hello folks, and thanks for the warm welcome!

I personally can't wait to introduce my character IC, but as Stok Stok mentioned, I am another forest dweller! So if you're willing, I'm super open to brainstorming with you StorytellerLathos StorytellerLathos about any sort of previous encounters big or small our characters may've had before my character eventually joins the fold as a party member!

Totally yeah! Feel free to hit me here or in DMs with an idea of what your character is all about whenever you wanna get started on that! If your character sheet is gonna give a good idea of that then I'll wait up for it instead.

I've gone ahead and posted my sheet for everyone else to take a gander at! I'm gonna go ahead and read up on everyone else's sheets, so I have a good idea on who Rola (my character) will be hanging out with!

One more thing taleek, mark on your sheet what levels you have in Bard and rogue so that I know what abilities you should have access to. Mainly worried about how many times you can use inspiration and how much damage your sneak attack does

I've marked down my levels for ya! Sorry I missed that!

No worries, I didn't request it in the first place. Your entrance will take place on the next round of posts. Wait until I tag you in one of my posts and that's your cue. Shouldn't be long now, we just have Oro to go before my next narration.

Edit: please share your pronouns with us so that we know. Mine, Dragon, and WB are all He/him and Lathos uses all pronouns because they're a demigod with mystical powers lol

Stok Stok Survival, perception, or investigation to look for "Berries, herbs, shiny rocks, or just sticks that seemed particularly
special that day."?

WHOOPS very very sorry Lathos, I missed that question the first time. Survival please
No prob! Time to survival the shit out of this!

Edit: I don't think I survivaled the shit out of this-

Yall got lucky on that one, I was just about to leave for the gym and my phone died. (CANT go to the gym without music) So I thought, what the hell. Making that post is as good a way to pass the time as any.

Writing this from the gym on my phone, so it is subject to typos and change.

I have officially typed up tables for scavenging and potion making. The following are the rules/tables (or at least, the ones I'm letting YOU see)

Potions will be made from critters and monster parts just like in the games, as will meals. When combining a piece of food with something that has an effect, you will create a "special ration." These special rations will also complete a short rest, as well as applying whatever effect you may have mixed in. To make a special ration, it will take one piece of meat and two ingredients which contain effectual properties. Including more than two effectual ingredients will NOT increase the effect. This is to save my sanity as a DM lol.

You will need THREE Items which are not meat and do not have an effect (such as Hylian Shrooms) to create ONE normal ration.

Potions will need one monster part and two critters. (Bugs, lizards, etc) and potions will almost always beat out rations in effect.

The effect of either a potion or ration will continue until you either finish a long rest or consume another effect.

Potions can be consumed at anytime, even during battle. Rations may only be consumed when performing a short rest, outside of combat.

Scavenging Table (rolling a d20 with your survival modifier)
1-7 seeds, herbs, and mushrooms
7-14 mushrooms, critters,
14-20 Rare mushrooms, rare critters

When rolling on this table, items are subject to change based on area. Some items (such as rushrooms) will require an extra task such as climbing a cliff to get them. You will learn the exact effects of each item as you find them. This is totally not because I haven't written up all of their exact numbers. Totally not.

Potion making will also be subject to some randomness. I will have die determining just how effective some of these items will be, to keep it in the spirit of DnD, and to please the dice gods.

Please ask any questions I may have missed now.

Edit: Wernburger Wernburger Just_Dragon Just_Dragon T Taleek please like this post when you have seen it and understand the rules.

Leave it, it's inconsequential this time. No hard feelings
ACK, well, I already shredded it. I won't be editing much on my repost, though I would like to know how I can implement dice rolls into my post, so I won't need to use a die roller outside the site.
