Set in a world the exact same as ours except with one major difference. Pokemon, digimon, and all other kind of battle monster Entertainment never existed. In this similar modern world a strange phenomena occurred. The skies lit up with what seemed like aurora borealis except all across the globe. Yet that was just a pretty light show , what really occurred that day would forever alter the coarse of the world. Because on that day ours became a pokemon world.
You are one of the “Trainers” a random person who for whatever reason found one of these Pokémon. Be they drawn to it, or vice versa. The lack of pokeballs does not seem to be a problem as each time a pokemon finds its “trainer” they are bound by theirs hearts and the power of destiny. Your Pokémon’s arrival in your life will change it for certain, with command of such a powerful creature you have become a walking weapon, one that all governments want to get their hands on. You and trainers like you must now flee the governments who seek to weaponize their Pokémon. Luckily they are not few in number and an unknown force seems intent on driving them towards one another. How will these “trainers” change the world? Well thats where you come in.

Factions
The Agency- A collection if intelligence agencies from around the globe working to capture and weaponize all trainers and their pokemon.
Rebirth- An eco-terrorist organization formed by a powerful trainer. They attack infrastructure around the world and kidnap trainers and their pokemon to indoctrinate them.
The League- A new organization formed by a mysterious trainer, it exists to protect trainers from the other two organizations and often works to oppose the plans of Rebirth.
1.) no legendary pokemon
2.) Stats, levels, items, and hm/tm moves do not exist in this world.
3.) Pokémon must be in their first forms, you will be able to evolve later.
4.) Pokemon like machamp and gengar who require trading to evolve do not in this world. Likewise pokemon that require stones or other items to evolve will have other means of achieving it without them.
5.) Type does play a role but is not as critical as it is in the game. This will be more like the show.
6.) trainers may be any age, and may only possess one pokemon.
7.) with your Pokémon came a weird stone talisman with that Pokemon etched into it. This will be important for a game mechanic later on.

(NPC’s are negotiable, if you want one of the claimed pokemon be aware that there will be a role for you to fill with that pokemon.)
