I might be a little slow but I can’t wait for this to start!

Haha Funny you say that. I actually had something in mind for an android race. I could add it to the list if you'd like.
I actually do wanna know about this too. I'm thinking more Cyborg, but I can totes go android too.

Edit: Actually just read it, seems pretty interesting though I don't really know how relevant some of the weaknesses will be. I'm guessing Polarity is basically suppose to be magnetism and the like, but I don't know how many people actually have abilities like that. Maybe something more generic like Lightning Damage? Like I'm all up for having a weakness that doesn't really matter, but from a balance perspective it's a rather niche weakness.

Also how would skills be decided if things like your Kingdom/Class combo gives you proficency in a skill you already get? For example I wanna make an Atlas tank, but that gives me Athletics twice.

The threats you face will all be determined by the situations and locations chosen to adventure. I promise that there will be many threats in the world, each with different damage types to offer.

As for the skills proficiencies, I am going to update what is offered so that there are more options on how to build your characters. I'm about to read over everything now. If you see anything more, please let me know and I'll address it as soon as possible!

I've offered up a couple of options to choose between for each class. Hopefully it's helpful. If you still have overlapping skills that you would still be an issue, I can offer a free skill proficiency of choice, unique to your character's personality and background rather than having doubles.

Looks better! I do have a few questions and suggestion. First question is about stats. I'm guessing it's just raw 3d6, which averages around 10-12. Coming from 5e, I do kinda feel that's pretty low and was wondering if there's an option for a more traditional point-buy, maybe even standard array? Just so our characters aren't screwed out due to stats, or for some characters to be absurdly good due to rolls. Also I don't think the dice bot works on RPnation anymore, so I'm not sure how we're suppose to roll for stats.

A suggestion I was also thinking of is that humans ought to have more going for them. Androids are pretty loaded (having straight up immunity to two damage types is rare as hell even in 5e), and even Faunas have resistances and movement bonuses, but humans don't really get anything that the other races don't. Presumably not being treated as some sort of minority is suppose to be their advantage, but unless rampant racism is suppose to be a common enemy in this verse, I don't know how useful that'll be. I would suggest maybe giving humans a more flexible stat distribution, as well as some bonus proficiency? Humans have always been known for their flexibility in builds, so giving them the ability to have different proficiency outside of their class/country origins could be useful.

A lot will be adjusted towards the end of the first short campaign (the establishment). I don't see anyone going further than 3 or 4 in terms of level. After this campaign, those who wish to continue will go on to do more, giving me time to hash out the bigger threats in the future. As for the humans, more is to come of them. The racism in Remnant is a large problem in the world right now. Faunus won't be allowed in multiple areas throughout the kingdoms. Sometimes random threats and dangers come to them because of hate groups and such. I don't want to reveal too much, though. Don't want to ruin some surprises. (Androids can pass as humans, but they are socially awkward and have trouble blending in. They stand out among crowds easily, making stealth difficult.) Being a human is almost a golden card to be anywhere in the world without feeling as if you have a target on your back. But I do hear what you're saying. Both human features and damages will be changed before first session.

As for how we go about the actual sessions, I'm more than willing to do all of this over a Discord Group. It would make it easier to manage team missions without opening multiple pages or one large mass.

Certainly an interesting take on it. But yeah, while I fully intend to make an Android (or a cyborg who has basically become an android), humans definitely ought to have more going for them than just general social acceptance.

I wouldn't mind doing a discord group for rolling and other such organization. Still probs should keep posts to this site, but using it for a dice bot or whatever ought to be fine. Plus I'm sure we'll all have more questions once the character creation is more fleshed out.

Agreed. I expect everything to be fully fleshed out after the first session. I will definitely be getting inputs on how you all would like to see the builds progress. Everything will have a lot more to offer as you progress.

About AP... How quickly does it recharge?
AP recharges Character Level + Aura ability modifier per resting action. I haven't decided the limitations to how many rests can be taken (eventually stamina will run out completely. requiring a short or long rest to replenish more).

I'm def excited. I already got ideas for a character, got some background info written for him any everything. Though I will admit, I more or less stopped watching RWBY after season 4. It's not that don't like it, just didn't have time to keep up, so I'm not 100% informed about how things work in the current canon. Presumably there'll be a lot of new stuff that isn't in the show, since I imagine androids aren't exactly common, with Penny being the most notable of them.

With the way I have things planned, it will be some canon and a lot of homebrew. New Grimm of my own creation as well as locations and characters that occupy power in the kingdoms. It'll be a mirrored world of RWBY, some things remaining the same (such as the kingdoms), but you'll notice an absence of larger characters such as Ozpin and Salem. I'm really excited to introduce a lot of this stuff to you guys! It'll have a similar background, but much of it will be twisted to fit what I want out of the story. But overall, you don't necessarily need to have seen the show at all. Just about everything will be covered in full when we cross each path, just to help everyone get a good feel for the game's style.

Also really excited to see what kind of characters you guys bring! The whole android thing will definitely be limited. I wouldn't want half of the academy walking around as robots. Haha Similar to Dragonborn being a rarer race in 5e for most settings, androids will also be quite rare since the necessities to create one, as well as the knowledge to even go about it, has yet to be fully understood. It would require quite a bit of money (such as Atlas military funding) and a team of highly educated engineers. This is just for example.

For anyone still interested in joining, please leave the comment "Interested" underneath the character creation page. This is a necessary step for me. After you have left the comment, I will personally message you the link to the Discord OOC page that we will be using to discuss rolling and some information outside the campaign as soon as I am able to.
