Other Obscure fandoms you'd like to RP

Highschool DXD.

Not because of the fan service, but because the actual premise of incorporating chess pieces and having 'factions/teams ' fight one another was something I found very interesting when it first came out. Always felt it would be an interesting Anime to try and adapt into a fandom rp.

Mekakucity Actors (Kagerou Project) is one I've wanted to do since middle school... Not too many takers yet ):
Another one is Frankenstein, specifically the original book and not any of those movie or pop culture adaptations.

Nowadays I mostly do original RPs, although I'll admit that I do sometimes casually skip in the "Frankenstein-style Creature x Creation" relationship dynamic into my search posts, lol.

Why Frankenstein?
It's a study of consciousness, morality, and human nature—I'd love RP an alternate of the book's plot with someone, where perhaps Victor doesn't get insta-trauma from seeing his creation's eyes and actually acts right for a change, or the creature doesn't accidentally kill the blind old man and ends up living happily with the villager family, or things are in general... Less miserable for the main characters involved.

I love Victor and the creature a ton, I think there's a lot of potential for further characterization there, so it's been on my mind a lot as a possible RP plot if anyone else that I knew read the book... Or reads books to begin with.

cuzn cuzn ypu might like the dark descent of Emily Frankenstein. It doesn’t really focus on Victor (or at least not as any kind of heroic figure) but is told from the perspective of his wife. And it’s (loosely) based on the real historical context of Mary Shelly.

Like it’s kinda legit depressing to think of why she wrote the book in the first place. Never mind the more literary themes in the book itself.

I wouldn't say this is obscure but it's certainly hard to find fellow fans who want to talk about it: I would like to Roleplay Lego City Undercover. Super under appreciated Lego Game. It doesn't even need the Undercover part it can just be Lego City.

I don't know if I'd actually pursue rping either of these, since it's been over a decade since I read either, but two series that have stuck with me are The Bartimaues Trilogy and Monster Blood Tattoo (that's just the first volume, never got to read the rest.) My memories are all pretty vague about the series at this point, I just remember the world building and characters were interesting and they're books I'd love to go back to read if I had the energy. If I ever do, I may try doing some rps at least inspired by them.

I'd say DBZ, but it's less the screaming, power levels, and lasers I'm interested in. I want something more like late Dragon Ball. Yes, lots of punching, flying, and lasers, but the battles would be much more intense, and focused on clever tactics and willpower rather than who has a bigger number.

Thinking of an AU where the Saiyans kicked the shit out if Frieza, and went on to conquer Earth, mainly following what's left of Earth's resistance trying to beat them off planet. They'd be wayyyy less powerful at first, maybe even late Dragon Ball levels of power, so strategy and teamwork would be paramount.

I'd do a full on group RP with the idea but I'm honestly hesitant. For one I'm doing the idea with someone else, and secondly I'd be very picky who I'd write it with since it would be much more focused on the characters rather than the battles

I'd love to see how a Prototype rp would turn out- old Xbox 360 game that was rather fantastic!

Ashes of Love. Maybe not exactly the fandom itself because there is not much to rp after the 63 episodes. But something inspired by that could work XD

I’ve actually been wanting to do a school RP, but not necessarily in the slice of life genre. I don’t know if anyone here has seen Detentionaire, but I’d like to take that whole whodunit school prank plot and run wild. It’d be so much fun!

I'd love to do a Wheel of Time type roleplay, never seem to see that when compared to other fantasy settings. There's also Agents of Shield which I've yet to see despite Marvel being somewhat popular.

dead mount death play; it's just another reverse isekai, true, but some of the characters are really endearing, the main trio especially.

Definitely dead by daylight, I posted it on my own 1x1 thread and shocked to see no one roleplays dbd. (Dead by daylight)
