This is the character sign up for Breath of Destruction, when you character is fully complete here and wait for me to approve.

Demon Slayer Corp Reforged
The Hashira: 4 dedicated demon slayers who rose above everyone with knowledge of the old ways and the determination to train and defend the human race from Demons.
I will allow 4 Hashira but they must have one of the four main styles listed below, the hashira will not be a vital part in this but they will be supporting characters who will help progress the story. These slots are really first come first serve.....

Water Hashira: Suichiro Munekata
Flame Hashira: Yusuke Ito
Thunder Hashira: Takeda
Wind Hashira: Higestu Houtoro

Masters: Demon slayers who are second only to the Hashira in both skill and raw power. Masters train Corps members and help them develop new breathing techniques.
the masters are a key part to the rp because they will be the ones to help you develop your breathing style. The number of spots will change as time goes on and more people join but for now there will be 5...I would prefer you not to play your own master to give more meat to the rp but if it is necessary for your characters backstory PM me and we can talk about options.

Corps members: Brave men and women who have undergone rigorous training to master their respective breathing styles and save humans from the cruel demons. the goal from this rank is to kill as many demons as you possibly can and undergo a test to become a master. Majority of the Rp will take place at this stage
There is no limit on corps members

Initiates: men and woman ages 15 and up who have trained under a master and has begun to adopt a breathing style and create their own derivative. After training (we'll decide when the best time for the training arc to end) you will be tested on your abilities (kinda like the demon slayer entrance exam)

Trainee's : kids 12-15 who have yet to train under a master and are learning the basics of sword fighting and basic breathing styles. I want everyone in the demon slayer corp to start here (main characters). during this time you will pick your breath style from the main four and then think of a derivative along with various forms.

Breathing styles:
All new breathing styles derive from the main styles: Water, Thunder, Flame, and Wind

In example: ice breathing would derive from water, and Lava or Magma breathing would be from flame.

Members of the new demon slayer corp will learn one of the main four and then most branch off to create their own style but is not required
All new breath styles can have up to 10 forms but you can only preform all 10 at the rank of master (corps members usually can do 7 or 8 forms, Initiates get up to 5)

Breath of Winter

*First Form-Falling avalanche: The user grips his sword in a reverese backhanded manner and while falling or running towards his target, he spins his body clockwise and uses the momentum to create a clean slash capable of decapitation.

*Second Form- Ice god’s Chakram: The user leaps and vertically spins forward in the air while releasing a flowing attack in a circular motion.


*Third Form-Blessed Snow Falls: The User grips his sword above his head and drives his sword down with an explosive blow at the end of the strike. If the strike connects, it leaves a frozen cut that takes longer to heal.
---*Third form reverse- Rising Frozen Moon: same as Blessed Snow Falls but he places his sword on the ground and drives it up with an explosive force at the end of the strike.


*Fourth Form-Dancing Snowflake: Gives the user the ability to change directions and footing subconsciously and instantly which gives him the appearance of dancing. This form can be used in conjunction with any of the other forms and leaves a cloud of snowflakes wherever the user moves from



Fifth Form- Forgiveness of the Storm: the user lowers his body temperature and chills the sword, swinging with all his force to create one clean cut. Usually preformed on opponents who have surrendered.



Sixth Form- Rolling Tundra: using the movements from form four, the user makes constant slashes with his sword in a flowing manner that have hard impacts at the end of the swing like a mountain of snow falling on you at once.



*Seventh Form-Frigid Arrow: the user takes a solid stance holding the sword horizontally to his face before thrusting or throwing the sword, aiming at his opponent’s heart. If the sword makes contact ice will burst from the wound preventing the demon from healing.



Eighth form- Type 1 Winter Dragon assault: combining forms six and four, the constant strikes of his sword meet to form a massive white dragon that follows the blade of his sword to create a deadly attack

Type 2- snowflake barrage- using forms seven and 4, every time the user moves he stabs with his sword leaving a snowflake behind. The user preforms so many strikes in that instant it creates the illusion of snow falling


Ninth Form- Dead of Winter: the user suspends all bodily movements and attacks on instinct, slashing anything in his range. During this techniques his movements are almost invisible.

Personality: Cold, silent, Maturish, Has a fun side.

Background: Takako was raised in a religious home, which taught him that having emotions was counted as selfish, and eattih was counted as glutton, and falling in love was counted as lust, and so forth. They were taught to believe the only person that would ever love them was their parents, and their god. When his parents were killed by demons, he blamed it on himself for sleeping, and promise to do all he could to punish himself for it. With that idea, he trained himself, forcing himself to go beyond his limits, which hurt himself in the process.

Breathing style: Cloud Breathing

Derived from: wind breathing

Forms:

Form One- Cloudy Ride - Uses Clouds to boast speed. Useable by slashing his sword behind him while running.

Form Two: Clouded Skies - Uses it to get a small shield with clouds. He spins the blade in a circle in front of him

Form three: Dark clouds - the blade is coated in Dark clouds, that have small strikes of Thunder in it. He starts above his head, and the He brings the sword down in front of him.

Form four: Foggy nights- Blinds enemies. He stabs the sword into the ground

Form five - Cloud dragon: makes a dragon out of Clouds. Needs a more powerful form, tough not to powerful. A slash to the left, with a small spin following it.

form six: Rolling clouds - Brings a peaceful death. A small slash in the enemies direction

Form 7: Falling skies. - Brings down a mass of clouds. Makes it hard to breath. He spins the sword in the air above him.

Form Eight: Cloud float: Brings a cloud seat, very easy. Simply Slash a small circle with the sword

Form nine: Walls - Clouds will slowly squish the enemy. He slices a once at least away from the enemy on each side.

Form ten: Cloud cyclone- Several clouds create a vortex around him, destroying everything in its way. Can hurt himself with this one. He spins the sword quickly, slashing it in the derection he wants the vortex to head

I'm gonna post my character a little later as a reference but other than that ill get started on the main rp page.

  Background: Raised in a small snowy mountain town of Takakura, Oji grew up as an only child to the chief of Takakura Village. His father already had Oji's life planned out from birth to death and expected the boy to immediately take over as chief when he turned 18 but little did he know, the young prince submitted his demon slayer corps application when he turned 12 and ran away to formally enlist when he became of age. Training under the Water breathing master, Oji derived his own form using his experiences living in frigid temperatures to create a breathing style known as Breath of Winter in homage to his home which was blanketed year round by layers upon layers of pure white snow. This breathing style was more cold hearted, matching his own stoic approach to life and focused on rendering his opponents frozen and immobile. Oji plans to become a Hashira and bring his village out of its Neanderthal ways as well as protecting it from demons and those who would harm it.

  Personality: Despite his outward appearance, Fukuro is actually a loving and kind individual who loves mentoring the new age of demon slayers. He tends to come off as unapproachable until you talk to him and realize you can't get him to shut up. he will talk to you about anything just name it: the weather, Owls, demons, more owls, mountains, did I say owls already?
  
  Background: Fukuro grew up in a little forrest that teemed with wild life, primarily different species of owls, and was taught by his uncle to take care of the animals that lived there. When Fukuro turned 14 his uncle was slaughtered by a demon while Fukuro was taking care of his pets, the boy soon enlisted into the corps with the plan of becoming stronger. He developed his breathing style in honor of his uncle who showed him to the wonders of life and nature.

  Breath of The Owl
  
  Breath of the owl is a breathing form derived from wind breathing. It utilizes swift and precise strikes (stronger from above) to defeat the users enemies. This breathing style gives the user the unique ability to alter their density through their breath such as making themselves lighter to gain an arial advantage or making themselves heavier to produce explosive strikes filled with power. Breath of the owl was created by Fukuro Yoruno who grew up taking care of owls in a forrest near the mountain. Like the owl he learned to deliver swift Ariel attacks with force greater than his own body weight, and designed this breathing style to allow to fight in both air and on land.
  
  Forms:
  First talon- Midnight Assault: the user jumps into the air and flips himself forward using his breath to make himself heavier to deliver a powerful downward slash unto his enemy whilst grey feathers dance around him
  
  Second talon- Great Horned Omen: with his sword sheathed, he rapidly unsheathes and twists the blade driving it upward. The force from the strike creates a powerful gust of wind able to knock back or immobilize his opponent.
  
  Third talon- Nocturne hunter: the user slams his sword into the ground creating a small seismic vibration that can be used for tracking
  
  Fourth talon- Dance of Silence/Unmoving Mountain : while making himself lighter, the users movements are so swift and silent it gives them the appearance of floating across the ground. This technique allows the user to quickly dodge attacks and reposition himself./When making himself heavier, the user plants his feet firmly into the ground making it extremely difficult to move or knock him down.
  
  Fifth talon- Relentless Frenzy: the user slashes with his sword with precise cuts and each cut does more damage than the last with up to 8 cuts in total. With his eighth and final cut he brings the sword down from an upwards position and cuts with enough force to decapitate a demon.
  
  Sixth talon- Sky Drop Hunt: when falling from mid air, the user thrusts his sword forward and spins forming a sort of feather tornado while falling directly towards his opponent. If the sword connects, the enemy is blasted by the gale force winds created from the tornado.
  
  Seventh talon- Grey feather: the fastest attack of Owl Breathing, the user charges at his enemy with the guise of attacking but then moves at the last second. The sudden movement leaves behind a cloud of feathers that act as a decoy for his enemies attack, giving him time to reposition and actually make his attack.
  
  Eighth talon- Great wind, Falling Feather- the user begins to preform the 5th talon but with he final strike, he creates a massive Gust of wind with enough force to cut open a mountain.

  A fair skinned sixteen year old girl with snowy white hair and bigblue/grey eyes that resemble a cloudy day.
  
  Personality: Kimito is rather bold for a woman of her age, she loves to show off and prove how much better than everyone else she is. growing up without many friends led her to be a bit narcissistic as well as being downright rude and disrespectful. Kimito is the type to show your worse fears and then laugh in your face when everything goes according to her plan. her goals include becoming the most loved hashira, taking someones boyfriend, and preforming a daring rescue so that she is labeled as a hero to all of her fellow demon slayers.
  
  Background: Born in stormy Kyushu, Japan as the cousin to the chief of the Arashi clan, Kimito became next in line to take the throne as the main family had no apparent heirs. Kimito spend up until the age of twelve thinking she would become the next chief but her dreams were dashed when the chief and his wife finally brought a baby boy into the world. on her 13th birthday she offered herself as the dancer for a yearly tradition called the Narukami Kagura which was a eight day long event which was said to be created in order to appease the Thunder god Raijin who would give them peaceful rains for a year. Kimito spent months practicing and preparing, learning all eight forms of the dance and on the day of celebration she climbed to the Thunder alter and began to dance. She danced for eight days constantly repeating all eight forms as lightning crashed and thunder roared seemingly in tandem. After completing this feat Kimito left the village feeling as though they weren't worth her time anymore and enlisted into the Demon Slayer Corps adapting the Narukami Kagura into a breath style for her own personal use which was strictly forbidden by the Kyushu Elders.

  Breathing Style: Narukami Kagura
  
  Breath of the thundering God/ Dance of the Thundering God
  
  The Narukami Kagura was created by the Arashi clan who dwelled in a region of Japan that was battered by near constant thunder storms. 600 years ago they created this dance as a way to appease the Thunder God Raijin who would grant them peaceful rains for a year. The chosen dancer to preform the ceremony would stand in an alter built ontop of a mountain and preform an eight section dance that matched strikes of lightning said to be caused by Raijin banging his eight drums. When adapted to swordplay, it uses attacks at near blinding speeds to out maneuver the user’s opponents. This breathing style was created using the Breath of Thunder by an Arashi clan member after rediscovering an ancient dance from 3000 years ago called the Hinokami Kagura or Dance of the Fire God preformed in service to either Amaterasu (the goddess of the sun) or Kagu-tsuchi, a god of fire.
  
  
  *First Strike- Wrath of the Thundering God
  The user slightly jumps while twisting their body at the same time and unsheathing the sword rapidly to deliver a powerful diagonal slash capable of decapitation. When the sword connects it creates a thunderous sound and has the force to match
  
  
  Second strike - Lightning Clap, Heaven’s Roar
  The user dashes forward before somersaulting and delivering two strong strikes while falling towards his opponent. As he lands, he dashes forward once more with a powerful slash.
  
  *Third Strike- Streaking Lightning across the sky
  Using this form gives the user the ability to move faster than a lightning strike which grants them opportunities to change footing and evade attacks
  
  Fourth Strike - Raijin Thunder Spear
  The user steps back before throwing themselves into a backflip, upon either landing on a vertical surface they push off and hurl themselves at their enemy with blinding speeds. If landing on the ground they will regain their footing and push off but with slightly less strength
  
  *Fifth Strike- Rising Oni, Thundering Destruction
  A series of downward slashes followed by an upwards slash that contains all of the users strength.
  
  *Sixth Strike- Lightning Strikes Twice
  using all their power to push off from the ground, the user dashes forward at their enemy before quickly drawing their sword to deliver an incredibly fast strike. Once they land from the first strike, they are instantly able to turn and strike once more.
  
  *Seventh Strike- Prayers of Calm Rain
  As the only defensive form, the user holds the sword close to their body and closes their eyes. Using their heightened hearing they deflect incoming attacks by sound alone and putting their body into a sort of auto mode to move efficiently.
  
  Eighth strike- Mercy, O’ Thunderous Deity
  The final strike of the drum signals the end of the dance. The last form is the most dangerous of all as if preformed wrong the user can seriously injure themselves. The user whips their sword in an ark like manner before physically launching themselves into a handspring in order deliver a swift kick to his opponent. Using this momentum the user twists their body violently using the force to create an horizontal slash capable of rendering anything it touches to dust. If used incorrectly the user breaks their rib cage and some have been known to become paralyzed.

  Personality: Hige is a free spirit, following the breeze wherever it takes him which is usually to alcohol. He loves kids, animals, nature, books, alcohol, and the occasional party, but most of all he loves killing demons. The thrill he get from it is down right sickening but he as a person comes off really nice. being a hashira has toned him down a little but he still finds ways to encourage his wild side.
  
  Background: Hige grew up on Mt.Fujikasane as an orphan, when he was young the new corps took him in and trained him from a young age to slay demons. Eventually the boy grew to be one of the strongest demon slayers and at the age of 19 he was inducted as a Hashira after killing over a hundred demons. Around the age of 21 he fell involve with a fellow demon slayer who died in combat shortly after they met, because of this Hige did not allow himself to become that attactched to anyone and would live his life as more of a drunk monk.

*Second Form- Ice god’s Chakram: The user leaps and vertically spins forward in the air while releasing a flowing attack in a circular motion.


*Third Form-Blessed Snow Falls: The User grips his sword above his head and drives his sword down with an explosive blow at the end of the strike. If the strike connects, it leaves a frozen cut that takes longer to heal.

4th Form: Hatred’s Spear - User concentrates all negative emotions into their blade and releases a powerful stab, channeling their pain and rage into a single point. ( The energy released at this point is especially potent. )

5th Form : Dirge Of Hope - User summons the majority of doomed souls at their command and then expands them into a large dome that swallows the surrounding area and then fills with an eerie mist. While inside , the user sees greatly improved speed and power and is able to meld into the mist to reposition. ( The greatest downfall is that the mist has a partially physical form and can be frozen to limit mobility. )

Shuto stands at 5'10, with short dark blue hair and ocean blue eyes. Spending most of his time working on a boat, Shuto has developed a lean, muscular figure. He wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform, with a haori over it.

Personality:
Shuto is very morally driven and zealous. He believes in justice and has an ultimate goal of world peace. However, he understands completely that peace cannot be obtained without initial violence. He is a firm follower of chivalry, swordsmanship, and the strength of duty. He will do anything - even if he doesn't want to - if he is bound by duty to do so. He isn't fond of killing others, but if he is provoked in any way, he will do it without hesitation. He gets along well with others, and can be rather easygoing and laid back when he isn't on a mission. He is very responsible and protective, with a bad habit of risking his life to protect others and shrugging it off afterwards. He is also easily annoyed by rudeness lack of manners, and often acts on his annoyance by lashing out at others.

Background:
Shuto was born shortly before his mother fell to pneumonia, so he was raised solely by his father, who was a fisherman. Because he was a single father, Shuto's father carried him on his back while he worked until Shuto was old enough to walk and help on the boat. Because it typically rained a lot at sea, Shuto developed a great balance and sense of touch, and developed his body and endurance in harsh climates since he was very young. When Shuto was about 13, they were attacked by a demon in the middle of the ocean. Shuto, who had learned some swordsmanship as he grew older, had to hold the demon at bay on his own until the sun came up. No matter how many times he decapitated the demon, it would keep coming back for more. Because he had learned that demons were real then, he joined the Demon Slayer Corps in order to prevent others from having to go through the same traumatic situation he did.

Relationships:
Goro Ran (Father), Aoi Ran (Mother, Deceased); Shuto's mother succumbed to pneumonia a few weeks after giving birth to him, and he was raised solely by his father, who often carried him on his back while he worked as a fisherman. Once Shuto was old enough to stand, his father had him help as much as he could. Shuto holds a great respect for both his mother and father, and believes that his father is the reason he was able to develop his Sleet Breathing technique.

Self-Taught, Breath of Sleet:
Sleet can progress into two different forms; It can either melt down into pure water, or freeze into ice. After realizing this during his time travelling the seas, Shuto developed his own breathing style: Breath of Sleet. This breathing style utilizes two different forms: Water, which is offensive, and Ice, which is defensive. Because of this, every attack also has a defensive variant.

Forms:

*First Form: Shallow Strike - The swordsman focuses their energy into a single, concentrated slash.
*First Form Ice Variant: Snow Slide - The swordsman blocks the incoming attack, and uses the block to parry into a Shallow Strike.

*Second Form: Rising Tide - The swordsman moves erratically, gaining speed as they move and attacking whenever they see an opening. Used to weaken stronger opponents by forcing them to bleed.
*Second Form Ice Variant: Black Ice - The swordsman blocks an oncoming assault, but also moves erratically while defending. This is to tire the opponent out by forcing them to move while they attack, consuming double the energy.

Third Form: Drown - The most difficult Sleet Breathing technique to use. The swordsman focuses directly on the weakest point of the enemy (Humans being their heart, Demons being their necks), and delivers a powerful thrust/slash to that area. Meant to be a quick finisher.
Third Form Ice Variant: Shield of Ice - The swordsman holds their sword to protect both their heart and their head, preventing an instant death.

Fourth Form: Heart of the Sea - The swordsman allows their natural instincts to kick in, and they attack in an unpredictable, animalistic way,
Fourth Form Ice Variant: Cyrotherapy - The swordsman focuses their breathing onto themselves, using the technique to speed up the healing process of sprains, clot bleeding wounds, and numb the pain of broken bones. Cryotherapy does not completely heal the swordsman, but it can be used to reduce the effects of lethal wounds and allow the swordsman to perform a final, last resort attack.

*Fifth Form: Riptide - The swordsman unleashes a relentless assault on the enemy, increasing the momentum in their strikes and delivering faster, stronger, and more precise blows the longer the attack is carried out. Used to break through defense and make openings.
Fifth Form Ice Variant: Glacier Armor - The swordsman concentrates all of their energy into defense, blocking as many attacks as they can. Used against large-scale or rapid attacks. A type of near-perfect defense.

Hidden Sixth Form: The Trench at the Seabed - The swordsman forces their opponent into a long-term striking match, unleashing a seemingly never-ending assault powerful enough to do damage, but suspiciously easy to block and parry. This is the swordsman's trick. Once enough time passes, the opponent will notice that their skin is beginning to turn blue and feel numb, and that they will have an extremely difficult time breathing. Despite the swordsman's attacks being easy to avoid, the opponent will realize that they were in a full-scale hitting match for a long period of time, focusing more on attacking and defending than breathing. They were forced into cyanosis by the swordsman, who has "dragged them to the trench at the seabed". To put it simply, the swordsman has simulated drowning the opponent, and the opponent will be extremely fatigued if the assault works the way it was intended to.

Hidden Sixth Form, Ice Variant: Blizzard - Much like the calm but ferocious falling of snow during a blizzard, the swordsman strikes their sword downward against their opponent's blade/weapon hard enough to temporarily force it into the ground if it is a sword, or cut it off if it is an enemy's hand. While the opponent is preparing to attack, the swordsman prepares an extremely slow downward slash. The opponent will generally believe that they can kill the swordsman while they are wide open, and move in faster. It is then that the swordsman slams their blade down.

A young woman, tall and curvy in all the right places, with baby pink hair that is pulled up first into two giant pigtails, and secondly with two tall drill buns that resemble fox ears. Her skin is pale and porcelain-esque, with vibrant green eyes. Her clothing consists of her black hakama plants, geta sandals with black straps, and her haori. Underneath the haori is a black strappy crop-top of sorts whose straps criss-cross and form a star.

Personality:
She is like… your typical high school popular girl who knows she is pretty and has all the boys wrapped around her little finger and gets them to do things for her. She’s not going out of her way to bully people, but that manipulative side of her definitely rubs people the wrong way.

She’s flirty, manipulative, not outwardly mean or going out of her way to put people down, but will step on your fragile feelings if she thinks it will benefit her or her goals.

Background:

• Grew up on a rice farm in a rural area of the Kaisen region of Japan.
• She is the middle child of 5 children born to her parents, and natrurally grew up with middle-child syndrome, which made her bitter and desperate for attention.
• She was always the prettiest girl in the village though, and everyone knew it.
• When a demon moved into an abandoned manor nearby and instead of massacring the town, it merely demanded the sacrifice of a beautiful young woman delivered to the woods! What fun!
• Soooo, naturally, Akane was the first to go, because you wanna try to fight a demon?
• So 13-year-old Akane was dressed up as fancy as they could get her, loaded into some kind of make-shift palanquin thing, and left in the woods to die.
• But Akane was clever. She devised a plan.
• When the demon appeared, she requested one thing before she died- To tell him a story. The demon, finding this request odd, but curious, relented and took her back to his magically restored manor.
• She spun a tale of epic adventure, daring rescues, glorious treasures and beautiful damsels.
• She managed to get this demon up on the edge of his seat, demanding more of a story, which she would happily give… in the morning.
• And that’s how it went for ages. The demon slept during the day, woke up, prepared to eat her at night, but then she would tease with her stories of adventure till it slept again.
• This went on for at least a week, and she was running out of story ideas when a Demon Slayer appeared and killed the demon, thus saving her.
• Instead of returning home, she decided to dedicate her life to fighting demons. She didn’t really have much affection for home anyway.

Relationships:
Honestly? She doesn’t really do “relationships”. If anything “friends” are just acquaintances.

Haori Color:
Mostly a dark green colors, with black and golden colored gingko leaves blowing around the hem like it were the wind. On the back quite prominently is a pink fox with a smug face, framed by the moon and cherry blossoms.

Nichirin Blade: Pink, naturally. And it comes with a tanto blade as well.

First Form: Coniferous Needle Laceration!
-Multiple lights blows intended to deal heavy damage to vital places.

Second Form: Foxglove Circle Slash!
-Reminiscent of the Water Wheel attack, it’s just a big circular attack.

Third Form: Flying Dandelion Dance!
-Something something flowing like a dandelion seed in the breeze

Fourth Form: Crawling Ivy!
-probably a low, sweeping move intended to cut off the legs.

Fifth Form: Sssssomething with… Rice.

Sixth Form: Cherry Blossom Rupture!
-The Nichirin sword becomes like that of a thousand cherry blossom petals floating in the air, when they are turned on the opponent and used to deliver a thousand tiny cuts to them at the same time, sometimes without the opponent even knowing. It’s intention is to immobilize opponents by cutting vital tendons all over the body in an instant.
