Premise: (Not completely fleshed out but got a couple ideas) The basic premise is that long ago there was a war between demons and the other sentient races of the world. The demons lost and were given a curse that would limit their reproduction ability from having multiple children per year to only having one child per year and only every tenth child being female. Not only that but the demons would gradually lose their brutishness, eventually leading to male demons having very effeminate appearances and changing their food basis from hunted foods to farming and gathering. The demons live on a large island, mostly unknown to the other sentient races. They basically live in the bronze age or iron age.
What I havent decided on/the options:
1) The other sentient races have forgotten about the existence of demons/believe demons died out. A handful of demons left the island to explore the outside world and come back reporting of a modern world (futuristic by the demons standards) and want to modernise the island, which includes dealing with threats on the island but also convincing other villages and tribes to take part. Roleplay being a combo of adventure and city building. Almost like a Dr. Stone kind of deal.
2) Sentience races believe demons have become insignificant in threat and avoid them. A couple people were isekai'd and reborn as demons on the demon island. They decide to try to modernize the island because life is repetitive and dull and the island is primitive.
TLDR: Demons lost war against humans, got cursed reducing how many children they can have, men turned into femboys and bishounen over the generations, they live in a pre-medieval civilization. Options: 1) After coming back from travels, demons want to modernize island. 2) Isekai. Reborn as demons. Reincarnations want to modernize demon civ and raise it to glory.
