The mom is arguably scarier than he is. Though not in the same way

CHI TYPE BASIC – “THE FEASTS OF YOUTH”

CHI MOVES

ONE. JAWS TRAILING OVER – this chi move enhances her speed and the strength of her legs. There is a physical change with her legs being engulfed in shadow, appearing like boots with and dripping as if wet. About a half a foot of wherever she moves is leaves paint strokes, though the trails fade. This is ideal for quick burst attacking, there is no idling while this chi technique is activated. The biggest power move in use with this chi technique is leg locking an opponent. The technique uses 10 base chi every post it is in use, and each empowered kick is 20, kneeing 15, and leg locking of any kind is 30.

TWO. HANDS THAT PREPARE – this chi emits an aura around her hands and up her arms like a flame, her fingertips will appear to have a small flame each, like tiny claws. This causes her grips and touches to feel as if burned by a stove, and her scratches to cut like knives. This does not increase strength as much as it helps (increase) quick hand and arm movements; but she could break wooden barrels with a bare-handed strike (I do not find barrels very strong). In this chi-state, she cannot hold anything that is flammable (which is why she would not use this ability when using her fans). Damage done by precise strikes increases than if not using Hands That Prepare. This chi state uses a base 15 chi every post, burning (through prolonged contact such as grapples, grips, holds) costs 10 chi each time, and a strike costs 10, a strike that breaks skin (scratches, cuts) costs 5.

I have this thought in my head. I'd like it if the guardians all had a meal tradition, at least around Suvon. Growing up around animals, Suvon had to fight for his meals, so now, whenever he sits down to eat with anyone, he steals their food from their plate. He does this Every. Single. Meal. To the point that I think it'd be funny if the Yokai had gotten in on it. So now it is common for the guardians and those who know him, to guard their food at meal times, and is considered a right of passage to people new to the group.

Suvon also has an unfair advantage in that he can use two hands to steal food and use his tail to defend his own. For some reason, the idea of him using his high speed capabilities and stealing food all the while looking nonchalant is just so funny to me.

Nope i think she is great, a rich backstory. Very nicely done. The young emperor may just be tamed.

I was also thinking of making an infernal chi user, but it's not of his own will, it's due to his father making a pact with a demon, the father needing to remain as he is as eh is a lord of one of the sects in the Yangzee empire; he is one of the people who question the emperor due to the lost territories to the Yinsig.

this character would hate being an infernal chi user, but it feels out of his control. He may have sought help on his own and became a new student of the Yokai or one of the Guardians?
