"Honey!!! Wheres my Supersuit?"
!!!Must read in order for maximum reference understanding.!!!
The planet this story takes place on is called Aria. Its a beautiful little gem of a planet roughly half the size of the earth with similar ocean to land distribution. A denser and heavier core allows for equal to earth gravity despite the smaller size and this ocean has regular tides on account of the obsidian moon that orbits the world, this moon is named Zen. 69% of the surface of aria is covered in a single shallow ocean with occasional deep points, not like trenches which are long and linear but rather reverse mountains digging deep into the ocean floor. Due to the shallow waters there is a lot of flora in the ocean resulting in the waters of Aria being more abundant in life than our own.

All of the land of aria is actually gathered into a single continent called Paozu, named after the empire build on it by the gods. This continent is roughly the size of Australia and the Philippians combined and has a wide diversity of environments, Frozen tundras in the east, desserts in the west, tropical forests in the south, and huge grasslands and savannahs to the north. In the center of this continent as if dividing the different landscapes is a cluster of mountains with the largest being the center most mountain which is a staggering 39,777ft tall, this mountain is Called Ghett's spire. On the continent itself the weather is fairly nice but powerful storms brew out at sea, during whats called The Soaked season, these storms graze and sometimes directly hit the continent. Particularly powerful storms have on occasion covered the entire continent.

Sadly historical conflict arose within the nation that the continent was named after resulting in two individual empires arising and splitting the continent along artificial borders. The nation of Aki is on the northwestern half of the continent with the nation of Bantu taking the southeastern half of the continent. While not Actively at war the nations do have border skirmishes frequently and ties between nations are heavily strained. In recent years a small territory has grown between the nations lead by a warlord. This growing force is in the mountainous central region of Paozu and everyday they grow in number bolstered by those who are unhappy with the two empires. It is believed thay the planet of Paozu is hollow except for its heavy core and massive subterranean chambers lurk underground hiding large populations of monsters are believed to exist yet their existence is not proven.

All manner of monster exist in this world, from goblins to dragons, a
Kappa to the tarrasque, and everything in between. Sadly monsters are unsually evil in this world and are all currently non playable. Only humans are playable due to both important plot dynamic and convenience.

This universe was born from an egg lain by a creature whose form is beyond explanation and comprehension. From this egg hatched all matter and energy in our universe. It also sprang forth four powerful sacred beasts. These beasts engaged in a battle that lasted for tens of millions of years, the force of their battle creating the swirling motion of the galaxies, and the blood they shed giving birth to the first generation of gods. Among these gods Was Ao who led his siblings to end the beasts endless war by Slaying two of the four sacred beasts, the Dragon and the Ox. This left only the Phoenix and the Tiger who went into a dormant state which they remain to this day.

After ending the chaotic conflict the gods went out into the universe spreading out and choosing worlds for themselves. Ao found the Planet of Aria,at the time barren and devoid of life without a star to warm it. So he built a star and reorganized the cluster of celestial bodies into a solar system. Finally he created the Obsidian moon that revolves around aria and called it Zen. After his work he wiped his brow and the drop of sweat fell away and formed the Ocean Goddess Mizu, who promptly began to fill the planet with oceans. As the world Flooded Ao Sighed knowing more work would come from this, from his divine breath the Goddess of the wind Riza was born. The two sisters built the atmosphere around the planet but there was only ocean which caused Ao to think of a solution. He Scooped a stone out of the far reaches of the solar system and cast it to the planet. This stone coated in divine energy struck the planet hard enough to shift the crust and raise up the continent of Paozu, where he landed great folds in the crust created the mountain cluster where Ghetts spire would stand tall all the way today. That stone would eventually gain sentience and life and climb out of the mountains as Ghett to god of Earth.

With the planet finally established Ao tasked his children with filling it with life. Ghett created the beasts of the land, all that burrows and great forests, Riza created Birds and all that flies, while Mizu being the eldest made the most by filling the oceans with life of all kinds. Ao was pleased with his children but found none of their creations to be worthy of the title of ruler of this world. So he took dust from his sons domain, mixed it with sea brine from his eldest daughters domain, and gave it the breath of life from his younger daughters domain. This golem was the first human being yet it was incomplete until Ao crafted the first mortal soul on aria and put it within the clay golem. A second golem was created and they were given the ability to procreate, thus the land began to fill with humans who walked with and learned from the gods who created them...yet eventually all things must change their state of being.

After enough humans came about the gods forged the empire of Paozu and the humans began to bicker amongst themselves about who was the greatest of Ao's Children. Seeing the conflict grow Ao was convinced that the best way to solve the issue would be to get even closer to humanity. The gods of Air, Earth, and Sea began to marry humans and produce demigod children who had divine power contained in a mortal form. Yet this did not make the problems better but instead worse. Humans formed guilds and factions around their favorite demigods and war seemed to be brewing over the horizon. Finally Ao attempted to solve the problem by producing demigod offspring of his own. The twin demigods Yin and Yang, who went about the planet forging peace in their fathers name and for a time all was peaceful and harmonious.

Yet eventually all things change. The peace was short lived as eventually another aspect of creation became a problem. The neather realm, populated by demons devils and horrors, made their way to Ao's world and began to launch a horrible campaign agaist aria. Mortals Demigods and Gods alike fought shoulder to shoulder and all seemed well until Fortinbras the demon king made his appearance. While Ao was able to kill the demon king he could not do so before being grievously wounded by him. Despite needing to heal himself Ao instead spent the last of his power dividing the realm into three parts, the material plane of the mortals, the heavenly plane of the gods and demigods who had been given full divinity, and the infernal plane of the Demons, Devils, and Horrors. With his power spent Ao succumbed to his wounds promising to one day return and guide all three realms to perfection.

Sadly the absence of Ao created a large power vacuum and His twin sons Yin and Yang being the only Blood heirs of the God Emperor each saw themselves as being the worthy one. The Nation of Paozu was Split in half as two factions built up around the two brothers. While initially the gods tried to stay out of it they eventually were forced to get involved after the bloodshed reached a point where rivers began to run red. They whisked away the twins and reduced the weapons of the mortals to dust. Afterwards they set the twins on the summit of Ghetts Spire where they battled for the crown. Eventually Yang Came out on top and was named as the new god emperor. Enraged Yin left heaven altogether vowing to become the king of hell and get his vengeance against his brother.

The revenge never came however as the brothers finally made peace and fortified the divides between realms that their father had made preventing anything that was not a mortal from entering the mortal plane. The two factions of mortals never seemed to put aside their differences and instead of rebuilding the nation of Paozu they split i to two nations each named after their patron deity. The Yangzee nation followed the God emperor Yangs teachings and viewed him as their benevolent lord and rightful judge of all reality. Where as The Yinsig Nation formed Around Yin the lord of hell viewing their patron god as a selfless god who sacrificed himself to keep hell at bay by wearing the crown. These nations existed for thousands of years occasionally battling one another. Eventually this caused Ghett to tell Yang that they needed to intervene before rivers began to run red again, when Yang Disagreed Ghett was Banished for calling him a coward and threatening to strike him. The earth god was mortalized and cast down to Aria with the majority of his power and memory stripped from him.

In recent years however Yang has grown to regret his decision as it seems his Fathers return is imminent with two seperate mortals being born with his godly ki and lack thereof. Worse yet the Earth god stripped of his memories now contributes to the risk by becoming a warlord and declaring both empires weak and false. As if all of that were not troubling enough the denizens of hell seem to be suffering severe unrest and rebellion, more so than usual at least, and the universe itself begins to hum with the impending awakening of the two remaining sacred beasts the great tiger and the pheonix. The realms are about to meet their crescendo and all the scholars wether man god or demon find themselves unable to predict how this will all play out. Uncertainty has began to fill the hearts of all.

Chi is one of the fundamental forces of the universe here. It is an amalgamation of Life force, Mental energy, Physical power, and the Soul Ao gifted mortals with. Using Chi one can manipulate the universe itself in such a wide variety of ways that people almost constantly invent new ways to utilize it. The applications of Chi are nearly limitless but here are a few of the most basic abilities that almost everyone who calls themselves a Chi practitioner would possess.

Chi sense- those who use Chi can sense the presence and levels of others who have Chi. Usually people read this as an aura of fire or light and most people chose to apply numbers to it. Your average human with no knowledge pr practice in chi usage has a chi level of 1. Your common practitioner who uses chi but hasn't mastered it sits at between 10 and 20. To even be considered a master you must have at least 100 in your Chi reservoir. The master of Chi who has the Highest level and mastery of their power is called the Yokai. The current Yokai, Amiko Ieno, has a staggering chi level of 1106 making her the most powerful human practitioner of chi in the past 2000 years.

Enhancements- Practitioners of Chi are able to amplify their physical abilities using their chi. This includes Strength, Speed, Durability, Stamina, Senses, and even the natural rate of healing. Some masters have even been able to use Chi to Extend their lives for hundreds of years.

Healing Chi- one of the earliest and easiest to master techniques for most practitioners. Seeing as how chi is part lifeforce it stands to reason that by pumping Chi into someone they will be able to heal more effectively. On the flip side this can be used to harm people in the same way.

Different types of Chi- Chi actually comes in a few varieties. Unlike techniques these are usually not something someone can learn or at least not easily. There are Five kinds of Chi.

Base Chi- the most common and easiest to master of the five kinds of Chi. Most people use this and while it cannot copy the unique abilities of other Chi types.

*PsyChi- The newest type of Chi created by Yokai Amiko Ieno. This chi is achieved when the perfect balance of Chi usage is then transferred to the brain and condensed until it changes altogether. PsyChi is capable of unique applications such as mind reading, telekinesis, and Precognition.

*Primal Chi- Some people are born with a weird almost primitive soul. This strange soul type does not produce its own Chi like normal souls do instead it passively absorbs small amounts of lifeforce from every living thing around and converts it into Primal Chi. The range of this absorption is dependant entirely on their amount of power the radius increasing as their power does often creating a vicious loop. This chi is almost impossible to master into techniques but provides remarkable physical emhancements to strength speed and reflexes.

*Infernal Chi-sometimes practitioners of Chi will barter their soul to demons in exchange for power. This power is called infernal chi and is actually the power of the demon they barter with. This chi has one unique ability amd that is that it weakens any kind of chi it comes into contact with only one being an exception...

**Divine Chi- the Chi of the Gods and the most potent by a large margin. An example of Divine Chi applications would be using a technique that normally costs 100 chi, for a divine chi practitioner this will only cost 20. Furthermore this chi is immutable and will not dissipate with time or be weakened by Infernal Chi.

(*Means you must ask before using this type of chi)
(** this is not open for player use yet.)

The combat dynamics of this story are going to be pretty simple. There are no autohit attacks. DO NOT make a post explaining how you hit someone and the type of damage it does to them.

A bad example- Dagos threw a left hook bolstered by ki which came at the speed of lightining, the blow struck Tom in the face hard enough to vaporize his bones killing him instantly. (As you can see in this example the player controlling Dagos not only threw his attack but wrote in it hitting and the damage it did. This is all unacceptable in the story setting.)

A good Example- As Tom Closed in Dagos threw a mighty punch that moved at the speed of lightning with enough force to shatter bone. The devestating blow was aimed directly at Tom's face and would certainly be lethal if it struck its mark. (As you can see in this example the Dagos player still threw the punch, the power of the punch is still implied but he did not assign the damage or the connection of the hit. As a result tom is able to reply, granted the blow is very fast and heavy so tom would be hard pressed to react to it but alas he has a chance and thats what matters.)

No powers exist that allow you to control another player, even the telepathic power of the Yokai can only suggest things and implant images, she cannot control your character and i expect that to be a solid set in stone rule.

Important characters- these are characters who are Effectively GM controlled NPC's though in some cases i will allow players to steer them if need be. While they can be used to an extent in back stories these uses must be cleared with the me ahead of time so as to keep these characters true to the depiction of them i have in my head.

Ao, king of Gods- creator of the sun and moon, slayer of the demon king, father of all gods, and weaver of souls. Ao is potentially the most important being in the development of the planet and arguably one of the Universes most relevant beings. However many make the mistake of thinking of him as a benevolent god of light, yet that's only half of the coin during the Realm wars Ao Donned his weapons and Embraced his darker side smiting demons and devils with enough force to shatter planets and snuff out stars, luckily he kept himself aware of the world around him and used his own power to fortify the planet meaning he was simultaneously striking with enough force to vaporize the planet and holding the world together with the power at his disposal. Sadly this god is no more, having perished but he promised to return, reincarnation as mortals who will become a god.

Mizu, Goddess of The Sea- The first of Ao's Children and the mother all that dwells within the sea. Mizu has always been the most consistent of Ao's children having maintained the same calm demeanor for all of her very long life. She possesses the unique ability of Hydrogenisis allowing her to create water from nothing. The true scale of this ability is unknown but it is said that in the early days of the planet she covered the entire surface of the world with water in just under an hour. All water that is not within a lifeform heeds her beck and call wether it be solid, liquid, or gas.

9d73cf68da463c34b56bc33bc605f07e.jpgRiza, Goddess of The Air- The second born child of Ao born from a sigh that her father let out when he saw the world flooded by her sister. As soon as Riza was born the entire water covered planet became covered in a hurricane which raged for a full day. While this seemed to be a problem at first it actually filled the planet with air and built the atmosphere by extracting water vapor and carrying it high into the air. Unlike Mizu, Riza is known to be fickle and ever changing often times forgetting the things she said the day before.

Ghett, The God of Earth (Past), The Warlord of the Wilderness (Present)- The eldest Son of Ao but the third born of him. Unlike the other two whose entire existence came from Ao, Ghett started off as a space rock that was enfused with Ao's power then cast to the planets surface hard enough to deform the crust and raise a continent from the ocean. Due to him being the only one to come indirectly from Ao he has always been known as the "Problem child" more often than not questioning his fathers decisions. Despite lacking the same metaphysical powers to manipulate elements as his siblings, Ghett held the Title of the Physically strongest god, even able to overpower Ao himself in regards to physical power. However his confrontational attitude didnt serve him well for long. He has recently been stripped of his divinity and memories and cast to earth By Yang after calling him a coward for refusing to act on the mortals behalf. Though his power was considerably weakened he still holds his title as the physically strongest in the realm, only now it means the realm of Mortals and not the realm of gods. While he does not remember why he absolutely hates both of the empires and has become a rebellious warlord who raids both nations with his band of mercenaries and exiles, he strikes fear into the hearts of most by choosing to never wield a weapon and yet winning every battle that comes his way with his bare hands.

Yang, God of Light & heir of Heaven- one of the twin demigod children of Ao who gained full divinity during the realm wars. Being one of two who are the only actual blood offspring of Ao Yang proved more powerful than Mizu, Riza, and Ghett during the realm wars by illuminating all of hell and blinding the demon army on their approach allowing the others to cut them down with ease. After his fathers death he and his twin brother nearly destroyed the world struggling over the throne. After his siblings intervened and took him to the top of the worlds tallest mountain for a one on one battle with yin he managed to secure a definitive victory and was named the new King of Heaven. He refused to intervene in the growing tensions of the planet and when his older brother Ghett insisted he flatly told him no. Ghett called him a coward and threatened to strike him down from the throne, an offence punishable by death, but Yang was not too keen to kill his brother so he instead banished the Earth god to the mortal realm and took from him his memories decreeing "if it is truly just and righteous to intervene than you will come to the same conclusion with or without your memory." He still refuses to allow the gods to act in the mortal realm.

Chu_feng.jpg
Yin, God of Darkness, Heir of Hell- the other of the twin demigod children of Ao who also gained his divinity during the realm wars. During said war he fought the demon kings four generals at the same time keeping them busy as his father slew their king. Only afterwards did he slay them all. Shortly afterwards he and his brother got into a relatively severe clash over the throne of heaven which Yin wound up losing. In his rage he refused to kneel to his twin and instead ventured into hell vowing to build an army and dethrone Yang. Over the millennia however his rage cooled and he made peace with his brother instead. Using his great power and immunity to most demonic abilities he has dominated hell itself making order for the once chaotic realm. Despite no shortage of would be usurpers, Yin remains the undisputed lord of hell and still refuses to kneel to his brother though no longer wishes to kill him.

Shí_huáng-Mu_Chen.jpg
Emperor Jin Akinara- The young emperor of the nation of Yinsig who took the throne after his father was killed by the warlord of the wilderness. However while not as powerful Jin has proven to be many times more cunning than his father actually forming strategies that have succeeded in taking territory from both the warlord and the nation of Yangzee. Most in his empire love him but he is a rather cold man with little regard for things like ethics or morality. Victory and success is all that matters to him, luckily this benefits his nation exceedingly as he has bolstered the economy and greatly strengthened the military of his nation. However many doubt his capacity as emperor due to him being only 19 years old.

Yu_Huang.jpg
Emperor Feng Bantu- Feng is the emperor of Yangzee and has been for over sixty years. He took the throne from his father by force when he was only 28 years old. Bad as that may sound his father had gone irredeemably mad and was about to set in motion a plan to poison his own people and blame it on the empire of yinsig in order to justify a war. Since then Feng has Ruled as a kind and compassionate emperor ensuring that even the most poor and sickly of his people would get the best care he could afford to give. Sadly in this current era that has resulted in many viewing him as weak and unfit to rule as he has lost territory to his rival empire and refuses to retaliate. Those who are close know that weak is not a word to describe this admittedly gentle man as emperor Feng was actually one of the candidates for the title of Yokai in his prime, yet he turned the position down due to a mix of him seeing the current yokai as a better candidate and him seeing his duty to lead his people as much more important. Yet he is careful not to flaunt his power for fear of abusing it.

285a83de117ec7bb75c15b4e9433dfbe.jpgAmiko Ieno, The Yokai- the Yokai is a title given to the strongest of the living masters of chi, and Amiko is certainly that with a staggering chi level near 1100. She is not only powerful but cunning and deeply knowledgeable of chi even going so far as to Invent PsyChi, an entirely new type of chi that she is teaching a select few how to utilize. While she rules no nation her words can influence emperors and he actions can shape history for better or worse. She has been rather reclusive of late but has sent two of her Graduated Apprentices to collect the Shien Siblings and bring them to her so that she may train and protect them from the emperors who wish to weaponize them. While she is quite beautiful that is merely an illusion as this woman is nearly 90 years old.

97e8fb3cedd6ad0cd8a57400439872c1.jpg
Tsukiyomi Shien, The Warrior of the Void- Believed the be the reincarnation of the dark half of Ao. Tsukiyomi is an odd young man. Despite being only 20 he has a calm demeanor and wisdom far beyond his years. He is very intelligent and exceptionally diligent in everything he does stating that if he didnt want to give his all to something he simply wouldnt do it. However the Oddest part about him is his utter lack of Chi, being the only human ever with a chi of 0. Whats more chi seems to fall into him when people are nearby, his presence alone lowers the chi levels of all those around him, if he strikes a foe with intent to harm his blow will steal chunks of Chi away from his foe and attacks his foe uses that are made entirely of chi simply fall into him without harming him or seeming to trigger any effect, while physical strikes laced with chi will be turned into normal strikes as the chi is taken. This effect is applied to anything within his hands, and a prolonged grab can actually drain all of a persons chi if he does not let go...a guaranteed death sentence. He respects and obeys his guardians constantly seeking their experience and tutelage in combat arts.

anime-girl-with-ponytail-5.jpg
Amaterasu Shien, The Maiden of the Sun- The younger sister of Tsukiyomi and believed to be the reincarnation of Ao's Light half. This girl is energetic and extroverted to the extreme. She believes everyone and everything is her friend and that those who are her enemies just don't know how amazing she and her brother are just yet. She adores her brother but is notably afraid of him and she is deeply interested in her guardians. However she is cursed by an ability that everyone and their emperor wants to exploit. Amaterasu possesses a link to the Afterlife that grants her a bottomless supply of Chi. Most of the time however this just manifests as her chi level of a paltry 70 never seeming to go down even when she uses it, in moments of extreme duress her Chi spikes to levels beyond even the Yokai, and arguably to levels equal to the gods.

The world reels from a massive earthquake that shakes the entire planet heralding the return of Ao. The gods essence split in two has fallen into the souls of two humans, this sadly has the entire continent up in a tizzy. The empires of Paozu have long beem at each others throats with neither willing to make the first move, but the arrival of a mysteriously powerful Warlord and the death of an emperor has seen the balance shifted. A Young Emperor with the ambition to make the first move has shifted the balance and now both emperors seek to find the halves of Ao and use their power to Win the war they see as inevitable. At the same time the Yokai seeks these children for her own reasons and has sent two of the worlds strongest warriors to find them and bring them to her. Even this mysterious warlord of the wilderness seeks the children though his reasoning is a bit more...idiotic.

However its not just the mortal realm that things are beginning to go into turmoil. Heaven seems unhappy with its current king and a rebellion seems to be brewing, and hell which has always tried to rebel has finally established a foothold. Deep within the cosmos a slow thrum can be heard slowly growing in pace and volume with each passing day and only falling upon the ears of the divine and the exceptionally powerful. All the realms have begun to fall into chaos and reality itself groans in anticipation of the coming storm. Can you weather it?

(Alright yall there's a lot to go through so i thank you for making it this far. This story is going to be about the denizens of Paozu specifically those whose destinies will shape the course of history. Ao didn't chose to come back as two humans for kicks, its to let mankind determine their own fate.

You will be playing the role of any person you see fit so long as they are 100% pure blooded humans. Im pretty lenient with powers and abilities but they must line up with the set up i have above. Meaning all abilities stem from chi, which is accumulated via training ones body, mind, and soul which sadly excludes most mad characters from being very strong. I only ask that the characters you make are functional.

The maximum level of power allowable for any character will be 600 with the only exceptions being "The guardians" and the Right hand of the Warlord

Here is a list of some roles i would like filled but its not mandatory.

The Guardians- these are the Two Graduated students of Yokai Ieno. They are the only player characters that will have an extended power cap allowing up to 900, not quite as strong as the Yokai or the Warlord of the Wilderness, but nonetheless staggeringly powerful. This power comes with responsibility however as you will be tasked with escorting the Shien siblings ,Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu, back to your master and through two separate nations that would happily kill you to get those kids power under their empires command. So you know...you got your work cut out for you. Maximum Age 77 minimum age 30.

The Heir of Yangzee- son/daughter of the elderly emperor and next in line to rule the empire of Yangzee. Maximum age of 33 minimum age of 16.

Warlords Right hand- The second in command of the Warlord in the wildernesses growing force. Maximum age 29 minimum age 17. Primal Chi User, Power cap extended to 700.

Betrothed of Yinsig- the wife to be of the emperor of Yinsig. The emperors council organized this hoping a wife would reign in the young king and his ambition. Are they correct? Maximum age 21 minimum age 16.

There are unlimited free roles available i will be putting up a CS page likely tomorrow. The story is set to begin next Thursday. October 29th. If you have any questions let me know please.

Jinkka begs to differ that she is NOT, in fact, a monster. lol

I got excited about this setting until I read the above quoted excerpt. Oh, well. C'est la vie.

I am interested. I love Chi concepts in most stories, usually cultivation, and I've already got an interesting idea for a Primal Chi Guardian if you'll have me.

Your worldbuilding is so beautiful- I absolutely love everything about this! I would love to be a part of this if you’ll have me!

Oh my thank you...i actually would like to code it into beauty but i cannot. I lack the knowledge and am dyslexic so coding is absolute hell for me. But thanks a bunch i just wrote it out over 3 days.

That’s perfectly okay! Coding is quite hard, there’s definitely no rush or demand to code for this. Over 3 days? You put a lot of work into this and I’m truly astonished!

My wife actually helped a lot she was a good person to bounce the ideas off of. Plus i wasnt just typing nonstop. I work as a security guard so i had alot of time to think and take notes each shift then i typed up what i came up with when i got home.

I am quite glad that you like it so much. Ill try and have the CS page ready today.

Aww I’m glad your wife could help! I’m glad you weren’t typing nonstop though, but the end result turned out amazing! I’m excited for the CS page!

Did you have a role you were interested in or are you gonna wing it and make your own character either is fine.

Minor edits and updates...

*Bantu and Aki are not the names of the empires reather the names of capitol cities. Yinsig is the empire with the younger emperor and its Capitol is Aki. Yangzee is the empire with the older emperor and its capitol is Bantu.

*while monsters are still not yet playable an edit has been made to say MOST are evil and not all. Some creatures of myth are actually benevolent good guys.

*if your character has a chi over 100 you are considered a mighty warrior, 300 and up is considered a master. 500 and up is a Notable master. 600 and above is when people start thinking your not human which is with good reason as people with that much power can shatter steel and swim through land in most cases...

How is Chi usage practiced? Are we talking meditative cultivation? Or is it Physical Improvement which leads to higher levels of Chi? Or are we talking Naruto-esque Chi manipulation?

I'd love to be a part of this. Correct me if this won't fit, but, I'm envisioning the student of a reclusive master, sent out to protect the deity siblings and bring balance back to the world. He won't start out very powerful, but perhaps with the potential to be. He'd be studious, kind and righteous, perhaps a little awkward.

Or I could play the Yangzee heir or the warlord's right hand, not fussy really. I am adaptable ^-^

How is Chi usage practiced? Are we talking meditative cultivation? Or is it Physical Improvement which leads to higher levels of Chi? Or are we talking Naruto-esque Chi manipulation?
I mix of the first two.

To master chi you harness your souls energy which is hard but is the first step and the least extensive. Its a bit hand wavy i know but its the whole premise your soul has a finite supply of chi that replenishes over time.

The next step is to train your body in using this soul energy. Admittedly this takes a long time as soul energy (chi) damages the body because its energy added to the system. So the amount of chi you can pull from your soul for use is determined by how hard you train your body. Luckily with chi you can exceed human limitations. So by definition a person with higher chi is physically superior to one with lower chi in their base.

The final step is meditation and creative applications of that energy. Techniques. A person who doesnt learn or invent techniques with their chi is like a torch. It provides light and heat but that energy could be better used in other ways. A chi coated punch from someone with a chi level of 600 wont be as damaging as say an arrow coated with chi which is folded into a razors edge from someone with a chi level of 200 or so.

Usually those who can make new techniques or master multiple ones have trained long enough and hard enough to have chi levels of around 300 hence why that is what's needed to be considered a master.

Certain stipulations exist such as primal Chi which is at least 100x harder to shape into techniques. But it is balanced by the fact that the physical body absorbs the primal chi and grows exponentially stronger. So someone with primal chi might have only one or two very basic techniques but physically speaking they would rival most people.

Divine chi actually grants a much larger return and is very potent meaning someone with a chi of only 100 that uses divine chi can actually fight someone who has a chi of 500 pretty effectively. Yet that chi type is currently banned.

Infernal chi lowers your opponents overall chi with each successful hit but is more damaging to the body.

Psychi takes longer to master than most as it adds an entirely new step to accessing it but it offers abilities you cannot get with any other kind like telepathy and telekinesis.

So far the only exceptions to these rules are The two Shien siblings and The warlord of the Wilderness. The Older shien sibling has no chi and just straight nullifies chi techniques and modifications. The younger one turns the rules on their head and can spike up to levels of chi thay should by all accounts make her explode violently. And the Warlord seems to be a physical monstrosity beyond even primal chi users but he lacks any form of technique.

Well thats actually a role. The guardians are that but i suppose since they are powerful as crap thats not what your looking for.

You could actually mix the roles if you'd like. Such as being the Yangzee Heir who is seeking the children not to make his nation win the coming war but to circumvent it entirely.

Or being the Right hand of the Warlord who is both from the same southernmost small town the siblings are and is the best friend Tsukiyomi. That could actually help the plot a lot as we will need someone to diffuse tensions between the siblings and the Warlord. It could also be a surprise to your character as the siblings powers and roles only awoke a few weeks ago when that massive earthquake hit.

Ooooh I like where you're going with that. I have many cool ideas. If you needed a guardian I could also do that too, I was a bit unsure they'd fit in well if their age min is 30 and the other characters are a lot younger, but I could work something for it.

The age restriction for them is because they were trained by the Yokai for ten years. And she only takes exceptionally talented students meaning they would need to be about 20 when they were found by her.

You could theoretically circumvent this by being the grandchild of the Yokai. This gives you the knowledge of the siblings and the guardians mission but she wouldnt consider your character strong enough to join the two guardians...so they snuck off to prove her wrong. Being her grandchild would offer limited access to Psychi even if they are younger than most masters of it.

Now that sounds like it would fit really well. I'll let you make the final call based on what would be the most help for the plot. We'll see what other people want to play first.

Id say its a tie between Warlords right hand and Grandkid of The Yokai

My idea is to have a wild character, one raised in the tropical forests. It would fit the primal chi for me :P

Also, a Himbo is a Male Bimbo

That actually fits perfectly for a primal chi practitioner. They arent like broly from dbz or anything. More like Moro or goku when charging a spirit bomb.

They absorb life energy from every living thing around them then transfer it into chi. The rate and radius of the absorption grows with the maximum chi they have. This usually mutates the body on a cellular level to hold the chi better allowing for really high levels if the battle is prolonged. Furthermore since they cannot master techniques very easily its pretty hard for them to expend their chi at a rate that matches the absorption. Because of this primal chi users do run the risk of severely damaging their body if their chi grows too much. So basically they are the hulk but not derpy in most cases.

Also thank you i have learned something today.
