When you finally have some time to write and you really want to write, but you're so exhausted that you physically can't bring yourself to do anything.

Just me?
Me, all the time.
I don't even know how I didn't stop roleplaying at all due to permanent exhaustion.
And situations like this come up almost every weekend. I have time but too tired to even think.

people whose egos are far, far too overinflated to recognize their own toxicity and realize that maybe, just maybe, they are the reason no one wants to write with them, no matter how "solid" their plots are.

when you have very little time to roleplay because you have too many friends and romantic partners as a result of extreme physical attractiveness, charisma, passion for life, and of course humility

just me?

Control your waifu meter, they're not exactly relevant to rp pet peeves XD

I have this happen most days, I try to do stuff early in the morning when I have energy but if it has to wait until evening that's pretty much a guarantee no writing or much of anything for that matter is getting done.

That's the problem. I wake up tired, I'm even more tired in the evening, I tend to fall asleep during lunch because I'm too tired to eat.
I still manage to squeeze in rp on occasion but not as often as I would like to. And it is my huge pet peeve, when I technically have time to write but my body refuses to let me. ^^"

this is such a small thing but it's so annoying having to click on and scroll through every search thread just to see that it's only 18+ and i read all that for nothing. just put 18+ in the thread title ughhhhh

This has been bothering me for weeks now.

When you ask someone how they feel about how the roleplay is going and their response is that they love it and it's good. You ask them if they wanna change anything and you get the 'No not at all' and then the next message they send is just a long #$% list about how they'd change the roleplay to fit JUST them over actually editing the roleplay to make it okay for everyone.

Personally. I hate it, and sure we all do it sometimes, but MOST of us (from my experience) realize the issue and don't try to force it and instead make compromises. But don't say 'No' when I ask you a question and then decide absolutely everything is wrong with the roleplay.

Another thing going on today is when the other person puts ZERO effort into helping with the storyline- I mean, it's one thing to have a turn-based roleplaying style, but it's another to completely ignore part of someone's post and avoid a whole scenario that actually has something to do with the rest of the plot. I mean, come on, if you're not gonna help make an idea on how the roleplay goes then try to follow the other person and branch off from there. But don't just scatter the whole story, or you could've totally botched something that could've been amazing

Oh, I've had RP partners like this in the past. If anything, it almost always never works out. Better to just drop it because... You'll try to explain or nudge them a little but they'll be having none of it. Then you see them ask somewhere else "why does no one want to RP with me?"

Well....

Well....
"Why does no one want to RP with me? I'm SUCH a "compatible" person!"

"Why does no one want to RP with me? I'm SUCH a "compatible" person!"

I've had times when I was really discouraged and would ask this, "why won't anyone rp with me?" but I've had the opposite happen. What you've described, where I try to work with my partners but they just don't want to do anything at all.
"What do you think of x y and z?"
eh
[explaining something that could be added to the RP storywise] "What do you think? Do you have any other ideas that could add to this?"
no, that's fine :)

And then what they give me feels like they're just not into it but they'll keep stringing me along until they either ghost or I leave because I can feel that they're not on it. In the past, I've even thought it was my fault, that it was my problem and that something in my style or how I've come across rubs those partners the wrong way... I'm not sure. However, in the recent months, I've gotten in an RP with a partner that is fantastic both in OOC and IC. Every issue I've had with past partners (things you've mentioned and what I just said) is nonexistent in this case. Having someone that is more than willing to bounce around ideas to make the RP more engaging for the both of us, not to mention being enthusiastic about what is happening IC turned my thoughts all the way around. It wasn't me, it was just that I kept ending up with partners that did not want to give anything back. And at this point, when I encounter people like that... I just do not force it. As I've said, it's better to drop it before things get worse lol. Because people like that won't change. Hell, they feel offended if you try to say.. (in a polite manner) hey, this is not really working out because x y and z.
They immediately think you're attacking them personally which is not the case.

Shenanigans like this make me value my current RP partner even more because we're just vibing. xD
