Helsa Returns to Arqa

Helsa was bored. While her dog developing a Persona was completely unexpected, the novelty and shock had worn off rather quickly. On top of that, she just couldn't think of anything to do about the Grand Circle. It wasn't responding to her orders at all, and her attempts to investigate the domes in the Dreamlands had proven...irritating, to say the least.

As such, she was left with nothing to do.

...well, not nothing. Her eyes lit up slightly. I never did find out what was happening in Arqa.

...might as well.

And with that, she vanished in a cloud of corruptive smoke, reappearing outside the entrance to Arqa.

Time to see what's really going on here.

  • GM UPDATE: PVP

Original had apparently been counting on this, as the moment Ickol executed her attack, identical cuts formed all across her body, severing what remained of her left antler and leaving bloody gashes across her chest. His attack was, however, an inferior copy, and when the two of them stood to face eachother one last time, it would be Original who, quite anticlimactically one might add, faded into dust, a smile lingering on his face up until his total disintegration. Ickol had been victorious, and all that remained of Original was a rather stylish-looking top hat, floating in space.

    Dark Ickol:

    SUPER ORIGINAL

Ickol looked around for any trace of the creep. Wait... did she actually kill him? She hadn’t meant to, but then again not that it matters too much, he is the most expendable of the lot. Still, pretty lame to have to kill him over a spear. Motherfucker should have known when to quit being an annoying little zit. Wasn’t there supposed to be some sort of power up from this deal, though? Well, she supposed she should be lucky she isn’t getting anything from that bozo, even a boost. Still, might as well grab a trophy before she goes back to grab her spear.

Ickol ‘fixes’ the landscape as best as she can, leaving the space around her still looking like a taped together broken mirror. Then, she nabs the hat and inspects it before putting it on, angling it to rest over her broken antler.

Fou just raised his hands, making a motion for her to calm down. Fou...Probably could break the spell by himself, yes. Although there were likely hundreds if not thousands of people in this city, and doing so to every single one would take an unholy amount of time. Fou was a patient being, he's lived for a long, long time, but fuck no if he's sitting down and doing a spell that would wear him down for hours to thousands of degenerates. It wasn't as if he was uncaring, if he needed to do it, he would. It's just that there is a way, way easier option, and that's contacting his dad. Ocaeril grew and changed a lot over the years, he had a feeling he would listen and be willing.

The mental link all Tailed Beasts shared was sent outwards towards Ocaeril. The god replied surprisingly quickly.

Fou? It's been a while since you contacted me. Sorry, I'm a bit busy because of Shimone and some other stuff. Is something happening?

Remember the Cenobites?

Fou's sudden and to the point question caused a reaction on the god-- not something inherently negative, just a dubious eyebrow being raised. There was an edge of carefulness in his essence now, his Chakra felt like Yin Yang once more- constantly shifting, and ready to be used in battle. The conversation went as expected. Fou explained what was going on, and he could tell Ocaeril was listening. He wasn't sure if he trusted him or not, but he was probably reading his tone to see if he wasn't hiding anything. He wasn't. While Ocaeril didn't really care about Cenobites all that much, that didn't stop him from being careful about the ones who largely changed Fou to this day. A proper explanation was given, something that to Nirti's perspective only took a few seconds.

...Alright. Touch her forehead and her chest with both of your index fingers. I'll hide my essence so she doesn't feel me specifically.

Fou did as such. He approached Nirti, touching her forehead, and also touching her chest, more specifically where her heart would be. Two very important body parts and organs when it came to Chakra. The subconscious and the cells of one bodies' often fused together to form Chakra, after all. And by feeling both of them, Fou could see it deep within her soul-- her Chakra intertwined...And every Chakra point closed off, almost as if something purposefully blocked it.

Then, Fou spoke a single word, Ocaeril saying it too, from wherever he was.

"Izanagi."

[Void]
Then, in a single instant, Nirti could feel again. The curse became nothing. Or at least, that's what Fou hoped. He was mostly making a test first to see if it worked, before giving Ocaeril the thumbs up to do it everyone else in the city.

When Dementia blinked from where he was watching the entire interaction between Faust and the Siren was watching it go down, he could suddenly see another figure in the room. An unfamiliar purple room was on his body, that in the past tended to not have much covered it. A bottle of whisky was in his hands, and a smile was on his face, despite his eyes only being half-open. There were what almost appeared to be bags under his eyes, but they almost gave...A different vibe aside from just exhaustion. Besides, Oca is a god, he doesn't need sleep, right...? Regardless, Dementia could tell this wasn't Oca. It was most likely a clone, a shard, or whatever have-you who received this message.

Behind him, a glowing androgynous figure stood with their back facing the god, their face not being shown, and their arms crossed. They had what appeared to be a halo atop their heads...AIWASS came, and it seems like he brought a very different Ocaeril with them.

"Yo." Ocaeril greeted simply, not feeling the need to be formal with Dementia. "God of the Earth Ocaeril here~ Do you want me to deal with this quickly and swiftly? I have the means to extract information from her, whether she likes it or not." Siiiiip. A large gulp came from him as he drank down the bottle of whisky, the shard sitting down in what appeared to be a chair of darkness, his leg over his other one, and a little amused look on his face. He didn't even bother saying anything else.

The siren didn't explode, but she did look offended.

"I'm sorry but, last I checked it was 1575, not the stone age. Had I known this company operated on a race realist philosophy I might have reconsidered my application, but, if you must know, I am a hybrid of sorts. Human in some ways, elven in others, I'm not a cenobite if that is what you are thinking, and I'm not going to 'explode'. I don't do that on the first date."

Damn, this was sassy one. She wasn't exactly lying describing herself as a hybrid, sirens had modified themselves with the genome of so many races they could barely be distinguished as anything specific, but still.
Faust blinked in confusion at her, her own expression becoming offended as well. "Race realist-? Goodness no, this is nothing of the sort! It's purely for health code reasons, as there are certain jobs we cant have different sentient species doing! For instance, if we had, say, a human working as a baker who was allergic to certain types of produce, we would have to make sure that those allergies were avoided!"

There was a momentary pause, then a loud snort of amusement. "As for being a cenobite, we wouldnt dream of accusing you of such a thing! Your genetic structure is far to distant from them, it's quite obvious that you are an entirely different species that have spliced together several different genetic structures into your own bodies for one reason or another."

"As for the exploding bit, I meant that quite literally. We had one of your kind in here before, and I simply gave her a perfectly harmless, if rather expensive Pony made beverage to drink as we talked. I was about to accept her application when she exploded, covering me and the room in hydrochloric acid, which as you might understand is very very unfortunate. So you see, this entire thing is just me trying to avoid accidentally causing the death of yet another of your race. Although if you somehow find such an attempt offensive to your culture, I do apologize for the slight. Ponies tend to avoid conflict unless necessary, and making your guests explode seems very unnecessary."

So the Siren wanted to be sassy? Well, Faust could be sassy as well. Faust hadn't gotten her point across, so it appeared that Faust would have to literally jam it down her throat to get her point across. Let's see the Siren miss that, Faust though with glee, awaiting a response as she continued to keep her level, flat stare at the Siren, her eyebrow unmoving.

A large gulp came from him as he drank down the bottle of whisky, the shard sitting down in what appeared to be a chair of darkness, his leg over his other one, and a little amused look on his face. He didn't even bother saying anything else.
Dementia blinked yet again, the motion slow as he stared at Ocaeril, his eyes taking in everything about the evolutionary god that was visible to the eye, and then some more on top. Case in point, it wasn't just evolution anymore. That was clear as day, along with the tired expression that Oca wore as well. Gods may not need sleep, but they needed rest, and Dementia knew this all too well from his own experience. They were not omnipotent, and could tire out. And there were other types of exhaustion beyond mere sleep, such as the mental variety, or emotional ones.

For a good, long time Dementia simply stared at Oca - or his clone in this case - not even paying AIWASS any mind. After taking his fill of Oca's expression and vibe, Dementia leaned back, his eyes unblinking as he slowly shook his head. "No need to rush things Ocaeril, the gentle touch works just fine here, and my daughter is in need of such a test. Although if she requests help I will tell you right away and you would simply fix the problem in its entirety, or so I would guess." He spoke slowly, as if carefully weighing each and every word against something. It was clear that Dementia had no idea how to take Oca's arrival, let alone his new... appearance and mannerisms, and that he was considering a course of action.

Currently, that course of action seemed to coalesce into 'ignore the problem for later' as Dementia turned to AIWASS with a small smile. "Ah, so good to finally meet you face to face, angel boy. Thanks again for your assistance with Faust, I've been puzzling over that issue for centuries now, without any clear solution in sight." He chuckled, nodding in gratitude to the angel as he readjusted himself into a more comfortable position. Of course, he was adjusting nothing, the area that Dementia was resting on being nothing but air underneath him as he floated, but it was the thought that counted, right?

The hat looks entirely normal on a simple inspection, but the moment she puts it on, a single black and red eye opens upon it, with similarly colored tendrils jutting down from below the brim, wrapping themselves around her neck.

"YOU MAY TAKE MY BODY, BUT SUCH IS NOT A CONCERN, MY LOVE. MARK MY WORDS, WE WILL BE TOGETHER! FOREVER!"

Shit, he somehow survived, and now it seemed this remnant was affecting a fusion, as Ickol's hair slicked back into quil-like structures and her fingernails elongated to form claws. Her vision in her left eye darkened, and demented laughter could be heard all around. Something must be done, fast.

Fou grimaced. Ah, here's the difficult part. He can either act really lazy and just wave his hands around and said he cast the spell for everyone despite the way he did it suggested otherwise, or he could just...Do what he thought of doing. Standing in line. Healing one by one. And...

Fou sighed, and shook his head, looking at Nirti. Man, did she not listen to what he just said about what to do with the others? Whatever. "How many people are in this city...Usually?" He's got to know the numbers he's working with.

"About ten thousand, on the bottom floors that is. I am unsure about the higher floors."

Space Buddha Space Buddha

"NOPE."
Fou instantly clapped his hands together and gave Ocaeril the biggest thumbs up to do his thing in the story of thumbs up. Chakra flowed and was visible around Fou's body, burning a bright purple, different from the usual blue most people have. To be able to see Chakra and its color like this is usually an extremely rare sign and shows how powerful its user is. Be regardless, Fou sorta had an exaggerated look on his face, the sound of the clap echoing in the area they were, and suddenly, Izanagi, or, [Void], was used to everyone in the bottom floor, Fou avoiding the upper ones, given that's apparently where the Cult of Pain resides in, and y'know, fuck those guys. His Rinne-Sharingan shined, showing Ocaeril's energy go through him.

"...There. Everyone is all healed now. The curse became nothing, so you don't have to worry about it." Fou waved his wands, letting a little sigh of relief over the thought of him not sitting down not becoming reality. "Now...I mean, now I'm not sure what you guys going to do. As I said, if you guys are trapped here, I'd say to either just leave, or I can just blow a hole up in the wall and nuke the rest of the city with the Cult of Pain on it."

What. The. Actual. Fuck.

Looks like the copycat abortion isn’t all the way dead, but this still feels like a fusion? Ugh, and he’s still being a fucking creep about it too. Those things are latched pretty tight, good thing she doesn’t actually need to necessarily breathe, but like shit is she going to let this loser keep at it until he starts to actually damage her or gets some worse ideas.

She’s panicking, stop panicking! Don’t let this dickwad twat make you a victim! You are strong, stronger than he is! You fucking murdered him, that’s proof enough! Don’t let him have the pleasure of corrupting you, take it all for yourself.

Dark Ickol clutches at the tendrils and she smiles as her clawed hands tear into their flesh. She imbues her destructive energy in them until they are ashes in her palms, but seized the energy bleeding out of them anyway. She allows it to sink into every pore, accepting the transformation while annihilating what bits of Original she can find in the hat along the way. She won’t be the same after this, she knows it. In a way, the bastard will get what he wants, tainting her with his essence for the rest of her life. But by Helsa’s tits she swears he isn’t getting an inch more influence than she’ll allow!

Her hair is now a dark blue rather than black, and her eye feels odd. She is taking on the characteristics of her more bestial form as well, she’s growing taller, her teeth and fingers are much more blatantly fangs and claws than the mere hints of them from before. She can’t explain what it is, but she feels jagged now, like her soul has gone from a straight surgical blade to a rusty spike covered in metal thorns. The laughter... is that her? Is that him? She chuckles softly and huskily against it, feeling her voice hitch as it seems to climb higher. She clutches the hat as it seems to squirm in her grasp, pressing it tight against her head as flows more and more of the energy into her. It’s intoxicating, it’s powerful! Why didn’t she ever think to claim another god’s sphere before?! This is the most happy she’s felt for a long long time, since before the gods were awoken, in fact! This is wonderful! This-

She’s in the dark. She’s as she was, antlers intact, her gorgeous DRAB dress intact. Her eyes feel the same SO BORING and she’s relieved YOU PLAIN BITCH, YIKES.

He’s there. She growls. YIPPIE! NOW’S THE FUN PART, GIRLIE

Original is weak, but he’s still there. Still grinning like he’s won. No. No. No. Nononononononono fuck that! Fuck him! WOAH, IS THIS A DEATHBED CONFESSION? WHAT A TWIST!

Shut up!

Wait, he hasn’t moved, who was she QUIT GETTING DISTRACTED! END THIS, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS CLIMAX FOR A LONG TIME!

She lifts him up, and stares into his eyes. Any attempts at a catcall are stopped as she educated him on the proper way to crush a God’s throat. IS IT BAD I’M THINKING THIS IS KINDA HOT?

I can’t stop the personality bleed through. But damn everything before I let you be even a backseat driver!

TOO BAD YOU WAITED SO LONG TO BE INTIMIDATING. MAYBE YOU COULD’VE BEEN COOLER IF YOU WERE THIS BADASS TO START.

He still manages a weak smile as he glares into her eyes. She rectifies this by pressing into one of his own with her free hand. She enjoys this. Hmm, maybe the little rat had managed to successfully irritate her after all, to find this so cathartic.
PLAY THE GAME, THE GAME OF FATE
The sphere is flowing out of him, colorful energy snaking it’s way past her arms. She lowers her gory hand to his throat, joining her other in strangling the pest.
PLAY THE GAME, THE GAME OF FATE
She doesn’t know when she stops crushing so much as throttling the neck of the hedgehog, enjoying his pained expression shaking backwards and forwards. More energy leaks out of him and moves in her direction. Shouldn’t she feel it being absorbed?
PLAY AGAIN, THE GAME OF FATE
She doesn’t know what it is about her arms that makes them catch her attention, but something does. Those... aren’t hers. Around his neck, who
PLAY THE GAME, THE GAME OF PAIN
It had felt so real, she knew it had been her doing these things, who was the woman reaching around her-
PLAY AGAIN, THE GAME OF PAIN
A head, resting on her shoulder. Her own, but different. She gives a lopsided grin to Ickol as they make eye contact.

Don’t worry doll, it’s not going to hurt you nearly as much as him. You get the better deal, honest! And you know how much we value honesty, RiGhT????$&#*^#<€,€]’

_______________________

Phew! I open my eyes and stretch. Man, we really did a number on this place, huh? Shame there aren’t witnesses to my kickass intro... ah fuck it! Even when there’s an audience of no-one, there’s still an audience, right? Right.

I tip my hat to no-one (pays to be polite, after-all!) and extend my hand.

Nice...to...meet...youHonestlyExpectedThisCrapToContinue?! That joke outstayed it’s welcome the first cycle, holy shit I don’t know why she kept at it so long! Well, it was for a whole disguise thing, but honestly it amounted to nothing in the end, didn’t it? Ah, that’s 1.0 in a nutshell: amounting to nothing. Well I consider this the perfect opportunity for a rewrite! Let’s fix that drab character into something cooler, crueler, and more capable of rocking that sexy energy! You think the ladies will dig the suit? Not too sure about the lads, but I’ve always had more success there anyhow. Seriously, though: I was a mess, wasn’t I? Character arc that goes nowhere, motivation that never amounts to anything interesting, bleh bleh bleh. If I was going to just be as impulsive as I was last few cycles to finally get things done I might as well have not had a personality to begin with! Also, waaaaaaay not enough lies. I mean, what was up with that? So uncool of me. Hiding the truth isn’t the same, and I damn well knew it! Well, at least got a more theatrical flair and a confidence boost from the pervert. In fact, his sphere is a real highlight, here! This horrible, no good, putrid shit show of a reality that puked its bile into my every sensation, now it’s brimming with possibility! Oh, don’t get me wrong, this place still feels like a clusterfuck designed by clusterfucks, but now I can finally create, truly create! Every spot can be copied and altered, why, if I truly wanted, maybe I could finally fix this world by creating my own, atom by atom! Ah, but that’s too long, too boring. No way those meanies in the hall would leave me alone that whole time. It’s funny I’m a sketchy figure to them, though. Why, she did absolutely nothing ninety-percent of the time! Hell, most of the evil gods are just being swept away by some alien something or other these days. Crying shame, I tell you. No regard for the classic devils and their roguish charm. Shame the Balderp and Octopussy couldn’t stay on top of things, I suppose it’s my duty to step up, isn’t it? Hm, maybe Original was right to think of me as dangerous. Now, you may be wondering ‘Ms. Ickol, where is that one-note wanker gone to now that you slayed him harder than you slay every snack that crosses your path’? Well, I’ll tell ya, you little inquisitive shit! Also, please keep an eye out for said snacks and direct them to me, if you’d be so kind!

I place my head in my hands somberly.

Alas, it appears Original had to be cancelled. Very problematic, you know. Tons of rapey vibes on that one. Him being the heroic one in our dynamic? Just yikes all around. Between you and me, he was also just an asshole on set, impossible to work with. I’m afraid to say we’ve had to let him go. Go into the asscrack of nonexistence, I mean. After cannibalizing all the good parts, that is (few as they were). But hey, cheer up, kids! Now Ickol’s got two spheres to rock, and I ain’t just talking about the usual pair either! I’ll make better use of Imitation than that quilled condom ever could! Maaaaaan, loads of plans up in this head, now. Get all his shiny toys too! Well, most of it is shit, and I’m pretty sure his secret lair would just be filled with ‘ironic’ body pillows of me, but hey! From the little bits of memories I skimmed, those Dopples seem like peeps I’d be down to kloun with! Wait, why did I say clown like that, the fuck kinda lazy-ass creep thinks that’s creative? Whatever. Anyways, seeing how I just committed a murder over a spear of all things and not the more understandable euphemism kind, I think I’m going to lay low for a bit, skip the next meeting. Shame, was really looking forward to some big introductory number. You know, dances, songs, a cannon full of flowers to launch at Helsa, that sort of thing. Well damn! Who am I to deny such a patient audience a taste of talent before I make my exit? I’m willing to give you all a little something extra since no one else is around... it ain’t a flash, though, so put those cameras away! That’s only for the Tuesday shows. Tickets on sale after. Wink~ And now, without further ado! Live, at a random spot in space! It’s.... drumroll please! Ickol 2.0! Yasssss queen! Woo-woo!

"Well, that would only happen if you tried to feed her transformatives, which were the reason we acidified our blood in the first place. Surely you haven't been doing that, right? I mean why else would you be open for hiring and yet have your entire staff be made up of a previously unknown species. It just seems so outlandish."

The siren smirked again, and made an "Ok" symbol with her hand, praising Rhubarion.
Faust's expression immediately changed from calm inquisitiveness to a blank 'what the hell' look, confusion clear on her face as her lips moved in silent thought. After a long moment of silence, Faust slowly closed her eyes and groaned loudly. "Right. Different kinds of transformatives are used in some of our homemade produce in order to significantly improve their taste and quality, and I gave her one of the most exotic beverages we had avalible. Of course that was why she exploded, why wouldnt it be a few highly unstable yet common genetic modifications to some stupid lemons." She muttered to herself, clearly exasperated with the situation.

"And you're one to talk, Miss 'We Just Want To Help You, Please Ignore Us Kidnapping You And Stuff', at least we ask our victims if they want to join our side before we kidnapp them! And the process is entirely voluntary, we dont force anyone into becoming a Pony unless they want to!" Faust huffed loudly, glaring slightly at the Siren in annoyance, clearly having taken slight offense to the statement.

Up with Oca and AIWASS, Dementia slowly facepalmed, groaning softly as he rubbed his face in exasperation. This was what he'd been afraid of when he told Faust to do this mission on her own. She did indeed need testing: testing of her self control. Apparently, Faust was still in need of learning to control her automatic impulse to protect her Ponies at the slightest sign of offense. He'd hoped that getting her to interact with non-Ponies might help. Faust just needed to actually go out and meet said non-Ponies. She needed to stop all of that dusty work and studying, and go make some friends that weren't between the pages of a book.

...... why did he suddenly feel like he should be ashamed of himself for making a bad joke? Come to think of it, he'd gotten this feeling when he made Ponies several centuries back as well. Hmm.....

It took a while, but Dementia eventually composed himself once more, looking clam and collected. However, it would have done nothing to fool Oca or AIWASS, for they would have clearly seen him reacting negatively to Faust's conduct. Also, there was a giant sign over Dementia's head that said "I'm a big liar", so that was a give away. Chaos could suck sometimes....

Ocaeril simply nodded with a little respectful chuckle to Dementia. His blue eyes shined a deep green for a second, his pupils becoming slit, and his gaze almost darkening also he could see and read Dementia's emotions. A chaos god was so expressive. After all, as someone with the aspect, Ocaeril could almost feel connected to Dementia. Like a kindred spirit of sorts. It was interesting, to say the least. It could either bring negative and positive consequences and twists to their relationship. Maybe Ocaeril would feel more willing to work with him. Maybe he'd be able to read him like a book. Maybe they'd become good friends. Maybe Dementia would be able to do all these things with him as he could possibly do it with him, really.

"As you say~ You really want to see you little girl succeed, huum~? I can get that, I'm a parent myself, really." A chug of his bottle of whiskey with his little jovial tone told Dementia how different Oca was. Ocaeril was determined. Kind. Over the top, even. Almost like a child with strong ideals, a true hero of sorts, even if it was at times misguided, and his anger and emotions took control of him. He seemed more...Humane? Well, he always humane, but...He just felt more focused. More controlled.

Like he could kill his emotions in an instant.

med_1473378928_image.jpg

Before Dementia could say anything or react to this new...Ocaeril, if he had any reaction at all, he spoke again. "Ah? I see you met AIWASS, huh, Dementia? Well, of course you did, I'm just pretending I'm surprised. The Angels are an extension of me, you know? Given to me thanks to an old friend. I know what happened between you two, so no worries! No worries at all. But, AIWASS here is neither male nor female, but I don't think you really care, do you, computer-head?"

Both instances are right, so yes, I don't care. AIWASS spoke, although Dementia's chaos sphere could tell his brackets were missing, almost as if someone was trying to look cool and ominous with 'his' speech pattern but instead just looks dumb.

Regardless...Both watched with seeming interest as the interaction between Faust and the Siren went on. As Ocaeril just sighed, shaking his head. He could understand where she was coming from, really. If it was him, he'd have done something perhaps needlessly cruel to shut this sassy annoyance up, but...Well, with a wave of his hand, Dementia could feel something extremely familiar course through Oca. It was if as Space Warped and became darker. Shadows became stronger, as Ocaeril simply smiled, as Chaos got itself up from the Void and began acting.

"Let's see...How about we make her thoughts more chaotic? Less logical, less manipulative. Easier to control. Easier to anger. Easier to slip up."

The power of Chaos flowed towards the Siren, and began doing exactly what Oca described, a small smile on his face. Chug.

Casual Tiamat visiting

Well, Tiamat had spent a lot of time thinking, but no actions were considered, darn. However, she's overheard some bits of a new society blossoming... it gained her interest! Why not have a visit? That is why Tiamat will leave the hall (last(?)) to spread her wings and fly away to go see what wonders are there.

During her flight in creature origin forme, she's seen how many places have new cafes. Maybe it is the remnant of it? Nevertheless, she'll still check on the Tritons' island in physical origin forme to make sure the triforce is back and running in the Children of the Sea's church before checking if it happened to have a cafe... Tiamat had overheard from fellow tritons and/or humans that there is a new cafe (CaffCuddle Cafe) in the island! That's one of the reasons why she's become curious. And if she were to go there, she'd hopes the new beginning of additional society can understand her and her Ocaeril-ator. It's been a hot minute and she'll need to socialize with new life, basically.

A gentle 'Aaah' sounded as she's entering the cafe on the Tritons' island. A greeting, a beginning to learning new socialization. That is the gentle opportunity.

Chug.
Just as Ocaeril noticed everything fluttering across Dementia's expression, so too did Dementia notice every little detail acros Ocaeril's face. After all, it was a two way street, and while Ocaeril had 'been around' longer and was thus more experienced, Dementia was an expert at acting and it's cues due to his ever changing nature. His keen gaze, combined with that kindred sense of Chaos, was more then enough for Dementia to pierce the veil right back, peering into Ocaeril like one would peer at a painting, every detail carefully noted and cataloged for review.

And frankly? What Dementia saw both left him intrigued... and utterly terrified.

Dementia was used to the emotional, unbridled version of the planetary avatar, the god of the physical world. He was used to Ocaeril being a rather rambunctious, unstable individual, who's fantasies were definitely too bright for this world, and would one day be broken by reality. What he saw now was not said individual, but rather something else entirely. This Ocaeril had gained what Dementia so feared, long ago. The reason why the Chaos god had fled to the deepest parts of his home for centuries, carefully and slowly resisting his paranoia the entire time so he could one day return. It was simple, really.

Ocaeril had what many mortals equated to the grey area of morality, that is, the middle ground of choice. Ocaeril had learned how to balance his morals, both good and bad. Ocaeril had learned to be mortal, while still retaining all of his powers. Ocaeril had achieved Dementia's gift to the mortals: choice, without morals. Equal ground. Good and evil, in equal weight. Ocaeril, in an oh so ironic and appropriate twist, had evolved the same capacity as his precious mortals: true freedom. True freedom, the ability to choose, backed by the power of a god.

All of these thoughts flashed through Dementia's mind in precisely 0.073 seconds of time. While it didnt show on his face, his concern and shock were clear to Ocaeril, for they flowed through the very room they sat in, resting in the atmosphere like silent guests. The god of Chaos was unsettled, and that same chaos he controlled noticed, and was intrigued. For whatever could unsettle chaos itself must be worth seeing, right?

Dementia remained silent during Ocaeril's comments about AIWASS, not replying beyond a nod and a soft snort of amusement at the lack of brackets in AIWASS's speech. He watched with calm, calculating interest as Ocaeril manipulated Chaos to mess with the Siren. There were flaws, oh, so many flaws in how Ocaeril manipulated it. But then, was it flawed? No, it was Chaos, of course it was flawed, the entire bloody system is flawed beyond recognition, using it is a flaw in and of itself. Therefore, Ocaeril was doing nothing incorrectly as he used his powers to change balance. Even more worry.

Regardless of Dementia's thoughts on how well Ocaeril was working his magic, Dementia did not interfere. This was an opportunity to see how well Chaos flowed through Ocaeril after all. Time to see just what Ocaeril had gained, and how well he knew how to wield it....

Casual Tiamat visiting

Well, Tiamat had spent a lot of time thinking, but no actions were considered, darn. However, she's overheard some bits of a new society blossoming... it gained her interest! Why not have a visit? The cafe was an interesting establishment, rather plain looking on the outside, yet full of vibrant colors and beauty on the inside. There were several booths and tables about, with several patrons inside savoring their drinks and baked goods, a few idly chatting with one another as others simply drank in peace, one Triton in a corner idly working away at some paperwork as he enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the place. Truly, the cafe let off this air of tranquility that wasn't offered in many other places, that was for sure.

As Tiamat entered a clerk looked up from his location at the counter, a happy smile spreading across his face. The clerk was one of those Ponies that many had talked about, a cute fuzzy quadruped that was so vibrantly colorful it almost hurt the eyes to look at, and a voice that was the very definition of cheerful. This one in particular was a Unicorn, denoted by the horn on his forehead. Resting on the counter beside him was a stand that read "Hi, my name is Comet Seeker, but you can call me Comet!" in flourishing print.

"Well hello there ma'am, how may I be of service to you today?" He asked her cheerfully as she approached, tilting his head as he heard the sound exiting form her mouth.

Of course, Tiamat was new to the idea. If the Tritons were happy, then she'd be feeling it too. The colors were as if there's some newfound beauty to it. The tranquilness? Similar to the bodies of seas and rivers. As she pondered, she got the attention of Comet Seeker, the clerk for this cafe. There's a bit of a starry eyed reaction, but hey, she'll adjust to it. "Ahh, aaaaaah!" (Ahh, hello!) She'll come forward to the counter for at least some small talk before she orders anything. While she speaks mostly in ahh's, the Ocaeril-ator resting on top of the head should help interpret what she's trying to say to Comet, along with her nonverbal communication gestures.

"Ahhhh aaaahhhh, ahhhhhhhhhhh... Ahhhhh laaahhhhhh. Laaaaaaaaaa~!" (I've overheard of a new society blooming, starting with these cafes... They've become quite popular as a place to relax. I'm so proud of all of you~!) The last part she said with a toothy little grin, though she noticed she hasn't said her name yet... She pointed one finger up, as to say, 'one moment!', before creating a scroll and writing on it. When the scroll's finished, she set it down on the counter gently to show her name, 'Tiamat'. It's a way to be better acquainted with new faces, given she can't really shift from ahhh's to complete words. It would be weird if that changed to others besides those she's close to.

Then, given for the service, now she's curious about what is offered here. Nothing wrong with some cultural understanding! "Aaaahhh ahhh ahhhhhh. Ahhhhhhhh?" (It almost makes me wonder about the treats... what specials do you recommend?) It could be something to help that creator's block go away, something to spark the beginning of new energy. Or, it could be a nice conversation about anything he wished to ask her about while having treats and drinks like the rest. As of current, she's just a curious dragon mom goddess. ... And admittedly, she may not have used money before. She doesn't think gods or goddesses needed it for treats... right? It's a small indulgence for multiple reasons.

As Tiamat spoke, Comet glanced up at the device on her head, understanding of its purpose dawning as he nodded at her cheerfully. "Well, I wouldnt necessarily call it a society per say, but thank you all the same!" He chuckled, returning her grin with one of his own. When she held up her finger, he patiently waited for her to write on the scroll, reading what's on the paper for a moment before looking back up at Tiamat, then back down at the paper. As if a light switch was turned on, his face lit up with recognition, and he let out a small grunt of surprise.

"Well I'll be, you're the Tiamat, aren't you? The Primordial Mother herself, come to this cafe. Now that's an honor, no mistake!" He said with a grin, giving her a deep nod that might equate to a shallow bow if one thought about it. Then his grin widened further, and he gestured up above him at a trio of signs, each of which listed various drinks and baked goods, alongside a couple 'combo suggestions' for things that went well together.

"Well it depends, Miss Tiamat. What do you feel in the mood for? If you want something sweet and caramel that will leave you with an almost instantaneous sugar rush, I would suggest the Carmelita Drizzle and a couple Derpsberry Muffins. Want something with a bit of a kick that will help you wake up in the morning? Try a Dekufruit smoothy - no relation to the Deku seeds or tree, we assure you - and a Fiery Flicker, acquired from Nekomatus itself! Or maybe you would prefer something of a more calm, even variety, with a laid back attitude, in which case the Alcabora Helter tea, or Sea Spray as it translates to, would be your pick, alongside a nice Raspberry MiniPie."

As he listed them all, he pointed up at the signs above, pointing out each of the listed suggestions as he described them. When he was done he smiled and tapped his chin, humming loudly as he thought about his own recommendations. "Now, personally, if I'm going for a treat I go for either the Derpsberry Muffins or a MiniPie of some flavor. The Derpsberry is a rather potent berry that tends to leave most humans unable to think for a few seconds due to sensory overload, while the MiniPies are just that. Miniature pies." He chuckled in amusment, shaking his head as he grinned broadly.

"As for drinks? Well, the previously mentioned Carmelita Drizzle has become really popular among CaffCuddle's human customers, and Sea Spray is a rather nice tea blend. There's also the Chaotic Conundrum, if you're feeling like knocking out your taste buds for the next day or so. Although as a god, I'm pretty sure you wouldnt suffer any ill effects." He snorted loudly, pointing at a beverage which looked like someone had taken a rainbow and turned it into a smoothy. A smoothy with warning labels that anyone who drinks it cannot sue the company for loss of taste or smell for a maximum of 72 hours after every sip. A rather odd warning, all things considered....

Tiamat nodded. "Aaaah, aaaaaa. Aaa Aaaaahh ahhhh Aaaaaa ahhhh, aahhh aaaaaaaahhhh laaaaaaah!" (Of course, dearie. The Children of the Sea have known me for a while, thus it isn't shying of myself to be welcome to the tradition of others!) It was a reason she was curious about the new additions to existing concepts. It's exciting so far! The question is, what would she have that could help boost the energy to begin new things? Tiamat listened and took several looks.

"Aaahhhhhh. Aaaahhhh ahhhhh ahhhhh, laaahhhhhh?" (So far some of these products has effects for living mortals. It could be different with gods or demi-gods trying them, would it?) With the question she asked of, she takes a bit to go for.... The Carmelita Drizzle with the Derpsberry Muffins. That's where she's pointing it. "Aaahhh, aaaaahhh aaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Laaaaaaaahhhh, aaaaaaaaaaahhhh." (This one, for the sugary rush and the boost in creative energy. My ideas to birth new concepts haven't been rising from the waters, but I'm sure it'll fix that.) Yeah, she's sure it will be different for gods... for demi-gods, don't they have a different effect? It'd be something to consider when bringing her family to the cafe, even if they're spirits or not. Maybe Ocaeril would enjoy it if she invited him or the family? To Abzu, and her children, should she rebirth them, may have effects on them. Either way, creator's block resolved!

"Well yes, many of our products have different effects on gods and those chosen by them, although we have done our best to eliminate such difficulties so that full enjoyment can still be achieved, even by the divine! It's still not as potent, but we've been told that it's close enough in taste and experience to be almost unnoticeable in difference." Comet assured her, nodding firmly as she decided on what to pick. The Ponies prided themselves on their topnotch products, after all. They'd spent years, even centuries mastering their crafts, and were quite good at what they did. Admittedly, there were still better out there - stupid Ratbois and their excellent cuisine - but Ponies were the only worldwide group around, and still had the best coffee! For now, anyway.

As Tiamat ordered the Carmelita Drizzle and some Derpsberry Muffins, Comet gave her a huge grin and nodded. "One Driz and a batch of Derps, excellent! Your order will be ready shortly." He told her, and at that moment his horn was covered with a bright green glow. A piece of paper and a pen quickly floated before him, both covered in that same glow, and he quickly jotted down her order on the paper. As soon as he finished writing the paper was engulfed in flames and disappeared, evidently a teleportation spell of some kind as the note was sent off to elsewhere in the cafe.

After finishing up with that, Comet turned his attention back to her and smiled warmly. "There we are, your order should be out here shortly! But yes, the Carmelita and Derpsberry are a great choice for writers block, all things considered. Both of them open up the mind to ideas and possibilities that hadn't occured to you before then. Although there isnt an off switch for these revelations, it still works out afterwards. Sure, you might not be able to focus on any one thing, but by the time you're coming off of the high you'll have come up with at least a dozen different idea, and one of them is bound to be the one you wanted when you started! And since you're a god, the effects should be much more manageable anyways, right?"

He chuckled softly, shaking his head as he looked around at the cafe interior in amusment. "Take the colors here for example. Some bright eyed young Tritons got it in their heads that it would be a great idea to see who could chug a Carmelita Drizzle faster. The end result was them painting the entire interior of the cafe in 5 hours, every last wall, floor, and ceiling, before promptly passing out for another hour due to the sugar high wearing off. Manager decided to keep the look because of how good it was, and let the kids off the hook for the experience. Emerald still has twitches whenever it's mentioned though, it took her three weeks to get the rainbow paint out of her hair." He snorted loudly, holding back a laugh as his eyes twinkled with mirth.

"Ahhhhhhhhh. Aaa, aaaahhh, aaaaaahh, aaahh, ahhhhhahhhh... ahhh, Aaa ahhhhhh laaaaaaaa. Laaahhhh ahhhhh ahh, aaaaa. Laaaaaaaahhhhhhhh." (There's many things to begin the life of. For traditions, for parts of the world, for the people, maybe even re-birthing... it's a lot, and I tend to be picky about what I could do for Ocaeril at this time. For both my adopted child and for the world, of course. Creativity means everything within the natural elements.) She had to clarify that fact to avoid the confusion. Ocaeril is both, after all. She offers some reassurance for the unicorn, again with a smile that screamed motherly energy. "Aaaah, Ahhaaahhh aaahhhh ahhhhhh." (Well, I think you're doing great to help the mortals and the divine achieve pleasure in treats and drinks.)

To reveal that the sugary drink could help with that block seems like good news. Tiamat gave a happy, songlike 'aaaah' as a way of expressing satisfaction! While waiting for the order, she began to listen in on the silly story of the Carmelita Drizzle. With the result being the interior decoration designed by two young Tritons as the aftermath of competition, that give the goddess a chuckle. Ohh, those poor, poor dears, but it was a good story. "Ah, ahhhhh... Lahhhhahhhh... Aaaahhh aaaaaaahhhhh? AhhhAhhh lahhhhhhh ahhhhhhh ahhh ahhhhh ahhhhhh ah ahhhhhhh..." (Ah, the children... They gave a colorful outcome by the drink... I assume the painting was to lower the hyperactivity? That's a task I could think of for when the children need a task outside of heroic duties for a good deed well spent...) She isn't wrong. It's a mortal task, but it's good for any children, whether it be divine or mortal, before their adulthood. They can pull it off either way, and it benefits the mother, the children, and the people for the deed.

Shimone Rey

BlackCat-055 BlackCat-055
Shimone has been walking for what felt like hours now through the Digital World.

His feet felt heavy, his shoulders felt like they wanted to drop off of his body like a rusty piece of metal, and despite everything being seemingly Digital, he was just sweating bullets. The Digital World, according to Agumon and the other Digimon, as it was explained, was a dimension completely separate from Ocaeril with a different set of rules here. While Ocaeril had Unown making up the 'code' of reality like some sort of robotic or golem-like directrix, the Digital World was much, much closer to that concept of 'coding' and 'Digital Life.' From its appearance to its inhabitants. It was a bizarre place. Deserts with communication towers on them. Random train wagons disconnected from any sort of railing system, and random squares of what Agumon said to be 'data' floating about in the world.

At first, Shimone thought it was some sort of remnants from civilizations that once lived here, or just random junk put here by the Digimon. But apparently, these things were always here, and...

...They looked exactly like the pieces of technology and buildings back home...!

Hell, even certain locations, landmasses, it felt similar but in a way that didn't give away that this was some sort of digital copy of Ocaeril, or rather, took traits from it and its civilizations in a world untouched by men...Yet with sentience and apparent tribes on it, regardless. The others seemed surprised and confused by this, as well, with the sole exception of Paul, who seemed almost relieved when she learned that these pieces of technology didn't belong to anyone.

...Speaking of the Servants...

"C'mon, Shimone. We're almost there."

They were perfectly fine. With no sort of tiredness or exhaustion to them. Hell, Voyager One was literally floating about. And here he was, Shimone Rey, panting and already tired out of his mind. There was a large blush on his face, both because of the sheer embarrassment this situation gave him and because of the sweating that was coming from his body. "I-I'm good!!" He cried out, smiling at Nursery Rhyme, despite the girl not being convinced. He wasn't fine! "It's just...I didn't expect it to be this far...Haaaah...You guys had to walk this entire distance to find us...?"

"Yup!" Agumon cried out-- the Digimon also seemed not much worse to wear. Was he seriously the only one here who was having a tough time here...? "Truth is, we spent a few days looking all over the place for you guys! We didn't have any leads, so we had to guess a little bit!"

"...You say that Agumon, but didn't we all instantly feel their presence once they got spirited away here?" Gabumon quipped. The wolf-like Digimon was mostly quiet and blunt, if not a little rude at times, but he seemed to be friends of sorts with Agumon. Well-- every Digimon seemed to know one another, but Gabumon and Agumon seemed more like two best friends who knew one another for a little longer.

"Oh yeah..." With a small inquisitive mumble, Agumon nodded. All the other Digimon seemed to agree to that as well. "That must be because we're their partners!"

"...What does that even mean, though? I mean..." Jeanne, as Shimone learned her name to be, asked. "I keep hearing from you all using terms like 'DigiChosen' and 'Partners', but I don't really know what they mean..."

"Well, as we said..." It was Sistermon's turn to speak, the most humane of the DigiChosen having an air of authority and knowledge to her. Apparently she was some sort of 'big sister' to the group. Literally. "We don't know all the details, either. All we know is that you were all destined to come to the Digital World, and become our partners. The Missing Sage should know more!"

"
...Why's he called that, though? That seems a bit of a mock-title."

"Because he disappears for hundreds of years, and reappears whenever the people need him~" Araraumon chipped in, as Shimone blinked.

Hundreds of years?! There was no way this place was older then he was, right? Either that or...The time distillation here was really powerful...That means he doesn't have to worry about his parents doing something harsh to try and find him, right? Uuuuuu, he just hopes his mom isn't going to find out, she's so harsh and does things on a whim...It scares him just thinking about it...But...If it's true, at least he won't have to worry, again...

Soon, his thoughts and any other thoughts of the group were interrupted as they arrived on what appeared to be some sort of clearing.

Screen-Shot-2018-05-13-at-3.59.08-PM.png

"
...We're here."

The sun shined silently through the leaves of the grand trees and vegetation around them, the rays of light landing and showing vision to what appeared to be a stone tablet. All the Digimon, despite their chatter and messing around, suddenly went quiet. Even Pumpmon, who seemed keen on staying far away from Jack, seemed to suddenly stop his nervous mannerisms, as his eyes landed on the stone tablet. All the Servants also seemed to have stopped, some looked with confusion, others looked with surprise as if not expecting this to be the spot.

Something inside Shimone, however, beat heavily. Almost like a second heart.

Slowly reaching to his pocket, his Digivice was in hand. All the other servants seemed confused by the gesture, but they all saw that his own was shining brightly across the screen, letting out a light that appeared to be almost like a multicolored lantern, causing the symbols across the stone to glow gently. And then, Shimone stared to speak, his voice and tongue moving and acting on their own, seemingly understanding what was written across it.

"For the first children who step foot here, and all the others who eternally shall," He mumbled, each symbol glowing individually as if to show which line of the tablet he was speaking... "You are here now present because of your benevolent heart, who possesses a spirit of wonder and kindness. Heed my words: This world, and your own as well, is in danger of threats beyond the forces of this world. You were chosen by destiny and the forces of this world to protect it, alongside your partners, residents of this realm."

The Servants all stood quiet, the girls seemed a bit worried about Shimone somehow understanding what was written across the stone, while Voyager One mumbled something under his breath- almost as if trying to read it.

"A selfish request such as this one requires a test, to prove you are worthy of traveling across the realm with your Digimon. To show your strength of spirit, you will face many trials. Some will break your spirit, some will break your hope, others you patience and innocence. But if you are able to come to the top of all of them..."

"...Then your title as 'DigiChosen' will be well-earned."

A new voice rang all through their ears, one belonging not a single one of them. The servants whipped their heads to stare at the new voice, battle instincts kicking in momentarily, as each felt power surge through them, ready to attack whoever it was if it was hostile. They needed to protect Shimone, after all. But...Who they saw wasn't some human figure or someone they might be familiar with. No- instead, they only saw what they expected to see. A stranger.

...And a Digimon, at that.

The figure had data swirling around him. He was around the size of the children, and despite their best efforts to look at his direction, they couldn't feel anything about him. Almost as if he was a part of the forest around them. He just felt that natural to them. He was bird-like, a mix of golden, purple, and white across his body. And each one of them could feel a calm washing over them. The servants stance became a little more relaxed, but not outright trusting. The Digimon, however...

...They all took a deep bow, closing their eyes. Even Gabumon, who was rude and blunt seemed to do the same.

"Missing Sage..."

"
It's a great honor to meet you again, sir. We found our chosen children."

"
...So I have observed." His voice was calm and gentle, almost...Familiar, to Shimone. As he looked at the being, he couldn't help but feel a sense of deep familiarity. "...The DigiChosen, at least most of them, are now in the Digital World...With their partners at their side."

"
Eer...Excuse me, sir." The impromptu leader, Nursery Rhyme, stepped forward in front of Deramon, giving a small nod at the figure. "You are the...Missing Sage, right? Our...Digimon said you know why we are here..."

...The Missing Sage only stared for a moment, before giving a small nod towards the manifestation of fairy tales. "...That is correct. You are all Chosen Children- DigiChosen. Children chosen by destined to fight against forces that threaten the stability of this world...And the material world, as well." Eyes widened, both from the Servants and the Digimon. Although the former didn't seem as surprised or shocked at the concept, given who they were working under. The Digimon seemed a bit more shocked, and Shimone looked like someone told him to kill someone. There was only shock on his face, as his feet trembled. He didn't show his nervousness, though.

"...Forces unknown even to me. But worry not, I can sense worry and confusion within you, allow me to explain."

The explanation was somewhat long, but not complicated. He told of them of the Digital World, the time difference between here and the material world, as well as what Digimon are, and what their abilities can do, too. The device they held in their hands allowed them to travel between here and the real world, as well as the fact everything they looked at, felt, and saw was made entirely out of data. The concept blew Shimone's mind-- at first, he didn't believe it, but the more and more he spoke, and the more and more the Digimon seemed to agree with him, the more he realized the reality of this situation: he was inside the game dad had created.

"
That's all amazing, really...! But..." Voyager One was being genuine, during the entire explanation, he had a look of pure wonder in his eyes, principally at the mention that everything was made out of data. "...We can't stay here forever, can we...? I mean, I know time passes differently, but..." His arm waved towards Shimone, as the boy simply flinched. "...Shimone here has to go back home. I don't think he wants to stay here forever."

"U-Um...I..."

He tried to speak. Nothing came out.

His eyes kept themselves glued at the grand creature that was the Missing Sage. He felt so familiar like he should know who he was, yet...He didn't. His namesake was paying well- the Missing Sage was missing from Shimone's memory. Such an important figure, that for some reason, thought he was benevolent and important enough to become a protector of this realm, and have these people and Digimon as friends...But...Was that really true? It just...

"I-I'm not sure...If I'm really that sort of person...A hero..."

The Missing Sage only stared for a moment. No words came from his mouth- before he spoke again. "...Sometimes, one judges their worth based too much on what they did, not what they will do." For some reason, Shimone looked down in shame, the Servants looking at him with a face of sympathy, others with a face of confusion. There wasn't an in-between, but none dared approach him as the Missing Sage spoke, while the Digimon simply stared at him with similar looks, but Agumon looking sad, too. "...Will you judge your worthiness for what you did yesterday, rather then what you will do tomorrow?"

"
...My entire family has Spheres and they're gods- I'm just..."

"Someone who has yet to realize you do not need power at birth to do great things."

For a moment, Shimone's eyes widened, as he simply stared at the Missing Sage. There was only silence between the figures for a moment before he waved his hand.

"
...Do you wish to go home forever, child? And not ever have to worry about this world again? With a single wish, you can go back home-- you just have to say it. I am not forcing you to be here."

The sudden request made Shimone stare, his jaw open. He could tell he was being honest, and so could the Servants and Digimon. For a moment, all eyes landed on him, as Shimone simply stared at each and every figure. Mostly Nursery Rhyme, who offered to be his friend along with everyone else, but...He could feel his heart thumping like thunder on his ears. Part of him wanted to panic, to curl up and start to overthink stuff-- but he didn't. He just felt rising anxiety as time went on making his choice.

He wasn't a hero. At least right now, he wasn't. He wasn't a creator, either, yet Missing Sage was saying he was. None of the others seemed to object with his request. Shimone knew that if he stayed and asked what the threat in question was...He would be sucked in this...Adventure.

There was a sigh...Then silence, as finally, Shimone spoke.

"...I want to go home to think." He said as everyone looked at him confusedly. "I...I really don't think this is an easy choice to make, and I'm sorry if it is...But...I just want to think. I'm not someone who's special, I was born the weakest of my family, no spheres, powers...Nothing. Just...Sympathy, I guess, which is why a part of me wants to help." He mumbled softly, before continuing. "But...I can't make this choice in a single second. I wanna go home and think. See my dad and mum. I don't wanna be a coward, but...I just need to think."

All the Servants, including Digimon, didn't say a word for a moment before they all nodded.

"It's fine if you want to go home, Shimone. Being a hero...Isn't for everyone, but he's right. Don't judge yourself too harshly."

"Yeah! Not everyone is born a hero!"

"Mother Nature is a treacherous one...Don't feel afraid to drop out if you want."

"Mommy would be angry if you died brutally, anyways, so don't worry about it! If you come with us or not, we don't really care! ...And we mean that in a nice way!"

"If you want to wield a sword or not, it's fine. We can still be friends after this!"

The words of support made Shimone blush for a moment, before looking away. Part of him didn't expect them, but he didn't expect negative reactions, either. But...This much reassurance felt...Not embarrassing, but not unpleasant, either. He wouldn't let it get to his head, though. But...The small nudge on his arm, and Agumon's eyes looking straight into his own, caused Shimone to look at the dinosaur with a look of silent confusion.

"
I really don't wanna see you leaving, partner, but..." The small dinosaur gave Shimone a smile, one that made something inside Shimone's heart feel pain. "...If I stopped you, what sort of partner would I be?"

He knew Agumon would be sad about him leaving. He knew others likely would be disappointed, too. But they choose to say those words to him anyways, instead of trying to use their own mouths to make him lean into leaving or going along with them. They didn't try to manipulate him. They wanted to protect him, but they also wanted him to stick around...At least, that's what he got from them.

People were so confusing. And yet...Even the Sage nodded.

"
...It shall be done."

The Sage spoke, and with a wave of his hands, Shimone suddenly saw light. The familiar feeling of when he first arrived here coming to his mind and body...Like his body was becoming digital. He could hear gasps from the Servants and other Digimon, Agumon still holding his hand, before he didn't feel anything...

"...I hope the choice you make is the choice your heart truly wishes, Shimone Rey."

And once more, everything went dark.

Somewhere in the World Tree, if one were to look inside a room, they'd see the young Shimone Rey sleeping comfortably in his bed, with his small Digidevice on his hands.

High Synapse Unit A-0238 took in the scene as the Siren Battleship approached, coming to the best course of tactical action. Micro jumping would be too dangerous, leaving them exposed.

Which left one option.

COUNTER-MEASURE 98, CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT PROTOCOLS INITIATED.

WRESTLEMANIA, BABY.

The lead ships energy shield flickered for a moment, two humongous arms forming out of the shield energy, a minor drop in shield capacity, but none the less acceptable. The humungous flagship flexes in challenge, putting up its deuces for a fight. The rest of the fleet, seeing this display, back off, providing fire support for the fists of fury weilding command ship.

Comet nodded emphatically, letting out a small sigh as his nose scrunched up. "Oh I understand how that is. You can only ever do so much, and if you stretch yourself to the limit before you need to there wont be any give if something goes wrong. You at least need that small bit of wiggle room, else as soon as you face adversity in your task you find yourself unable to meet the requirements." He said solemnly, his tone that of a student repeating what their teacher once taught them, reminiscing on the days of youth.

At her question Comet shook his head, chuckling as he gave Tiamat a wide grin. "Actually, the painting was purely an accident at the start. The result of drinking a Drizzle that fast was that they focused on something else to challenge themselves and went ahead and did it, and that something was seeing who could paint the front room here better, as you can see. Now, painting the rest of the interior, that was to lower their hyperactivity. The manager realized that the best way to solve the problem was to put them to work, and since they had done such a good job...." He shrugged, shaking his head as he let out a snicker. "Well, they didnt complain at the time, and they had no room to complain afterwards. Although even they still wonder where in the world they got the paint cans from." He said the last bit under his breath, chuckling some more as he shook his head in amusment at the whole ordeal.

It was at this point, right after he answered Tiamat's question, that someone else walked up from behind the counter, entering from a door set to one side. Surprinsgly enough, this individual was a rare example of a non pony working at for C&CE, a human male of average build and looks, the kind of person who would blend into the background when you weren't looking. The man came out holding a small paper bag and a cup, each ordained with the symbol of the Caffine&Cuddles Emporium: a crescent moon set over a sun, causing the two to form a partial eclipse.

The man walked over to the counter with a smile, placing the bag and cup on the counter before Tiamat. "Ahem, here you are Miss Tiamat, one Carmelita Drizzle and a half dozen Derpsberry Muffins. I do hope you enjoy your treat, Miss Tiamat." He told her calmly and evenly, his tone a perfect monotone that was only broken by a slight hint of hidden cheer.

He spoke with the most bland and uninteresting sounding voice, seemingly pushing away at one's desire to listen to it and subtly causing one to ignore the speaker with how utterly lacking in vibrance it was. Yet that by itself made it interesting, for it was designed to only work on mortals and the like, and left Tiamat clearly unaffected. Sure, it sounded horribly dull, yet it wasn't capable of preventing Tiamat from listening. It just sounded flat, as if... well, as if the color was sucked from it, really.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled whatever to bring you Ickoriginal Action #1! Ah hell with it, let’s slap a #2 right there next to that baby, everyone knows double ain’t trouble unless you’re a wimp!

Come to think of it, should it really be Ickoriginal? Meh, let’s shorten it back to Ickol for now, Ickol 2.0 if you want to accentuate the difference. But let’s not give that hedgehog any more royalties than he’s owed! I swear, this is Penders all over again... wait, whozzat? Well, not like it matters. Because really, does anything? I’m going to stop you right there, because what you’re about to say is one hundred percent wrong, I can feel it. Even if you were going to agree with me. You know why? It don’t matter.

Anyways, let’s get this show on the road, yeah? You‘ve been sitting there watching ponies and child explorers, this saccharine shitfest is just missing out on the miracle of birth! But let’s not depress Tiamama by butting in on her turf and doing things au naturel, non! Let’s see our brave heroine... addicted tramp of a goddess make use of her spheres to create some kind of abomination! Ha ha, word play! Almost as fun as foreplay! Not that she yells “fore” when she plays, it’s really fun to see the golf ball brain someone when they aren’t looking. Speaking of not looking, why aren’t you looking at Ickol right now? I swear the heroin thing was a joke, she is an upright role model! In fact, she’s modeled lots of things, some of which can be shown without violating public decency laws!

Ickol Action 1

Sitting all by her lonesome in a cave somewhere unspecific, Ickol bemoaned her solitary fate.

“Man, it’s good to take a me-day now and then. Ah, I feel refreshed. You know, maybe I should avoid others more often.”

Suddenly, she had an idea.

“No I didn’t.”

Yes she did.

“Nuh uh.”

The script says she did.

“Scripts are for squares.”

You wrote this one. You are reading the lines out loud to yourself even now.

“Irrelevant!” She shrieked as she tore-

tore the script apart and sighed. It kind of was getting boring, actually. She had been disappointed to discover Original’s weaknesses were shockingly stupid, and so far she had been in hiding, not entirely sure her boosts in power were worth the absorption. She had attempted to put her spheres together, but any attempts to create a clone of herself using the spheres together simply resulted in the creation self-destructing before it was formed. It wasn’t much better attempting to create Antithetical Imitations of her selves independently of their fusion either. The opposite of Imitation refuses to be an Imitation, same for Anthesis. If she wanted to test her hypothesis, create a true anti-god like she had been kicking around in her head for the past decade, she would need to actually use another god as a base. Too bad she refused to visit any of the others for now. If only there were someone she could clone without... having to... see... them.

Ickol eyed the dirt around her. It couldn’t really be this simple, could it? Well, the dumbass is always going on about how he is the planet, after all. Well, he did when he was younger, anyway. Not as much anymore... hm. Although she reluctantly had to admit Ocaeril was cooler after his fusion, she almost- meh. Doesn’t matter. What does matter is, like any being considering bringing life into this world, she does so completely spur of the moment with little thought whatsoever!

Grabbing a hold of several stones, Ickol began to channel her spheres into them, willing them to taste the link between the stones and Ocaeril himself. Her eyes lit up as a structure formed, the code of Ocaeril displayed in arcane glyphs before her. Then, this code inverted on itself, and she stumbled to keep feeding her spheres into this code. A humanoid form gradually appeared, plain white and featureless save for some vulpine hints in its ears and tail. Heh, looks like it’s inheriting a little something extra, too. Still, it was so much like... then...

She’s standing next to Arceus, eyes agape as the child forms. A new god, a blank slate. It’s something horrific and disgusting and wondrous and

She blinks as the anti-god immediately springs into her complete form. One moment, the blank infant was before her, suspended in the air. The next, a fully formed young woman stares back at her blankly. Blonde, with foxlike features, wearing eastern-style clothing and with a dull look in her eyes. She doesn’t seem particularly curious or confused by any of her surroundings despite being just now born.

“Hello, mom. What is my name?”

Ickol tilts her head. “Wha??????????

“I should have a name, correct? What is mine?”

Her voice doesn’t sound the least bit inquisitive despite the fact most of her first words so far have been questions.

Huh. Alright, junior, let’s see... how about Lireaco! Aco for short!

“Very well, it is customary for a child to receive a name from her parent, and children do not typically have much of a say in the matter. It would therefore not do for me to be able to decide for myself.”

...Okay then. Say, oh self-declared-daughter-o-mine, tell mama a little bit about yourself!

For the next five hours, Ickol found herself fighting the urge to frown like she never had before. Her... daughter? Yeah, she was the most boring person she had ever met. Apparently she was a goddess of Stagnation, and while she could already picture some uses for her daughter, it didn’t change that on the grand level, the two were incompatible. Or at least, they should have been. Weirdly enough, while Aco did appear to grow frustrated with her mother’s antics, she barely attempted to correct or call her out on her behavior. Her daughter wasn’t needy, but she sure seemed to have a smug satisfaction with any validation Ickol gave her. Her view of Ickol as a mother seemed less to do with emotional attachment and affection and more to do with keeping in line with her inner-logic. As her creator, Ickol was her mother, and she would treat her like one, end of story. On one hand, it was great not to have some snot-nosed hanger-on, and that she seemed willing to listen to her mother’s nonsensical demands, but on the other, having her quote unquote ‘child’ being born fully formed as an adult was definitely weird. As Aco explained, in her immediate first thoughts of consciousness she was fully aware of herself and the world, and had quickly chosen a gender and appearance with no hesitation. No room to grow, in her mind. When Ickol has pondered whether Aco’s awareness was from her link to Ocaeril or a product of her nature as one resistant to growth, her daughter had just shrugged it off, unwilling to personally seek the answer further. Another shape had appeared at Aco’s birth, a half-formed imitation sphere, yet Ickol had quickly concealed it within her hat, already suspecting its true nature. Like hell was she just going to shove this into Aco right off the bat, though. Let’s see what she can do.

Ickol declared to her daughter she would force her to experience a grand character arc by living amongst the humble mortals, despite Aco’s monotone protests. For the next year, the two travelled between small villages disguised as mages, with Ickol delighted as Aco grew more emotional. Specifically, frustrated, as her ideas failed to take off. In one village, she attempted to install an economic model where everyone received the same wages regardless of job and no one had any authority greater than their neighbor. This failed to create a stagnated system when the village turned on itself within the week. Similar incidents happened throughout the year as Aco attempted more and more desperately to convince people of the sensibility of a stagnant life style. Really, the only highlight of the trip was when Aco finally spelled her name in a mirror and gave her ‘mother‘ an extremely reproachful look.

“I... I do not understand. I am correct in my assertions, why do they not listen?”

Oh? Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho? Aco, my darling, are you perhaps... seeking an answer?

The girl stared at the ground with a simmering rage that was probably the most emotion she had ever felt. “It does not compute. My arguments are logical. They are simply being ignorant. Selfish, putting their own greed for the potential of growth and glory in their futures instead of considering the potential devastation and corruption! They are wrong, they have to be! This is not the way, they will just keep changing for the worst! I need to know how I can reach them, I am so close, I can almost feel it!”

Ickol grinned toothily and hugged her daughter for perhaps the first time ever. The False Idol stiffened at the unfamiliar contact, and obscured from her sight, Ickol’s smile darkened as she considered her words, aware her daughter would be paying much more attention to them than usual.

Then I guess you just need to work harder, don’t you? Just keep pushing, and you’ll find out how to do this. I’m really proud of you, kiddo. You’re really growing up, you know? I know you can do this.

“...growing? Is that what I am doing? Is that what is required of me to accomplish cooperation?”

Lireaco clenched her fists and stiffened, causing Ickol to step back. Lireaco’s expression twisted into a scowl as she spat her next words.

“Change? Me? I have to change, to accomplish my goals? Why?! That defeats the purpose! Why should I be forced to alter my being for the sake of others, how is that even remotely fair?! I am trying to save everyone, and this is how they hope to repay me? To erase who I am and replace me with a stranger, no matter how identical? No... no! I do not need them! I am sure of myself, that is the only validation I need! If I hope to accomplish my goals, I must do so with my own power, it is my only real tool in this fight.”

Ickol squealed excitedly as she stared at Aco. “My, my my my! You’ve done it, you’ve successfully inverted that guy’s character arc!

“...I’ve what, now?”

No time for questions! This is the moment I’ve been waiting for!

Ickol pulled the imitation sphere out of her hat and shoved it into Aco’s chest. Her grin widened as an energy enveloped the False Idol, and she prepared to see her daughter transform. Instead, when the light dimmed, she was... exactly the same.

Huh? Did that not work?

“It did. Stagnation, remember? Why would I look any different?”

Aco’s posture was much less stiff than before. Her shoulders slumped, her expression now a look of bored contempt rather than the despairing rage of before.

Oooooo, neat! So, you got any big plots in the works, now that you’re powered up?

“Naw. I’m not really feeling it, actually. I think I’m just going to grab some snacks and go do nothing back at the cave. I’ll think of something later. Meh, probably.”

My daughter, she has turned into a waste of space! A waste of effort, and potential! This- this is... so completely unexpected! Gah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Ickol’s darkening expression twisted into hysterical glee as she fell over laughing. Wiping tears from her eyes, she suddenly sat up, dead serious.

Wait, a thought occurs. Now that I am your mother, am I finally a mil-

“I will actually pay you not to finish that thought.”

Thot?! Young lady, do not speak to your mother that way!

“...Whatever.”

As Aco grumbled and Ickol cackled, the world... carried on. For now, at least, this entire exercise turned out to be completely pointless.

Her Carmelita Drizzle had arrived while she listened to Comet's answers. "Ahhhhhhhhhh." (Something like it.) Tiamat began, "Ahhhhhhh.... Aa, aaah ahhh.... aaaahhh ahhhhh ahhhh... ahhh!" (The purpose will depend.... Such as, preparing your child's wedding attire.... or a concept that will benefit the Triton and giving them the opportunity to develop... something like that!) The wedding attire was blessed armor, thus proven useful in some scenarios. The concept that benefit the Tritons was the Primordial Triforce, and thus giving them that opportunity gave them stories, offensive and defensive development, the opportunity for family, and more.

After that, she looked to the human, nodding and giving them a 'ahhh' as a way of thanks. Even if the colors were sucked, it's what it did to mortals... but not the same to the divine. Thus, she focused on Comet again. "Ahhhh- Ahhhhhh 'aaaaaahhh' aaaaahhhhhh ahhhhh!" (A mystery- I bet I could 'birth' those colors if I wanted to!) Well, no, not literally. She meant something else, if she felt like that is good stress management for her children. "... ahhhhh, aaaaaa. Ahhhhhhhhhhh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. Laaahaaahhhhahhh. Laa, aaaaaaaaa. Ahhhhhhhh!" (... using natural ingredients, of course. Most of my creations involve natural ingredients by nature. It becomes a egg thus making it come to life when it hatches. Otherwise, there is a way for my children to be occupied. I've made instruments for them recently!)

After the ramblings of a motherly goddess, Tiamat began to drink the Carmelita Drizzle as slowly and as politely as possible. She isn't in a rush of ideas just yet, and the results of the drizzle may effect that rush. The politeness, however, came from family table manners. ... but this isn't a family dinner, so what's the point? There is none, but she just likes to be polite much like anybody else. The muffins will be sampled later, but if it is a reassuring thought, she could have some of them later, and save the rest to bring home to her family.
