Renaissance as in monarchy government? Most countries have Monarchy and some have counselors. Small villages usually have mayor or elder

You're welcome, and also because I reread, it doesn't matter within races. For certain larger cities or kingdoms have a monarchy and rare if they have politicians instead, otherwise if you're deciding on city or anything, go ahead and be as creative as you wish.
