Will we be doing any numbers or is it freeform?
Mostly freeform. Ill be doing roles for myself to determine how effective attacks are against enemies and for otherwise exceptional usages of skill but we neednt roll for everything and the roles will likely be in a seperate thread. Not sure if im gonna use numbered stats or not.

I am interested! I am thinking of playing a female orc character. Do you think such a character could be the guard to the princess? I'm open to that being the case but other origins are possible too.

Yes very much so. Orcs are very talented warriors and ones that grew up in service to noble houses that are well educated and trained in armor are a dime a dozen. Easily royal guard material if steered properly.

That said DarkiusHeavenstein DarkiusHeavenstein has asked to be the Prince guard so that leaves you with the Princess guard unless you wanna talk it over with them.

Queen Amala- The second Wife of King Yakkon. Raised in the Atikus of the 13 cities in Guild of assassins she was as deadly as she was beautiful. An expert in Martial arts, Poisons, Battle magic, and more importantly Diplomacy, Being an excellent mother, and Having impecable intuotion. Her death 9 years ago launched this war, yet even in his greif he left the decisions up to the people taking a massive nation wide poll. More than 77% of the kingdom voted to go to war as Queen amala was quite well loved.

Princess Ayo- The youngest of the royal children having freshly turned 14 years old. She was only 5 years old when her mother was assassinated before her eyes. She and her guard only escaped when the remaining guards ordered them to flee and they took out the assassins horses. Since then Ayo has been rather morbid. Obsessed with killing, death, and assassination, particularly after finding out her mother was an assassin herself. Though she claims she doesnt remember the events of that fateful day her diligent training and nightmares reported by those within the palace say otherwise. She insisted she go with her brothsr on his quest stating that at 14 she is an adult in kaldos and will go wether permitted or not.

Hello, is there any adventurers left? I was thinking maybe an elf or a human?
Yes indeed there is. So far i only have 2 confirmed royal guards. Ill be playing the royal siblings myself, so we still have between 2 and 4 spot left all for adventurers. Prince Aegon is partial towards bards.

would anything else work? Im not the most efficent at musical anything so i dont think i could play a good bard.
Anything else will work happily. It wasnt a requirement just saying the prince wants a bard somewher. Needs someone to sing tales about their adventures.

What about a do good thief that is really good at enchantments and manipulation? Of course he probably wouldnt apply as a thief, because thats kinda dumb lol.

Or, Maybe he was imprisoned but due to his skill he is given the chance to earn redemption by aiding in this quest? Idk if thats allowed but if not its totally understandable!

Well i mean...you could start as a thief and a mage but you wont be very good if your multiclassing early game like that. This is heavily dnd inspired though not using dice. Anyone who spent their life as solely a thief would be a better thief, and anyone who spent their life soley as a mage would be a better mage. That said being a thief already allows the usage of magical items so your best bet would likely be to main a thief and maybe have a low teir magic item or two.

Ive never done dnd so i dont exactly know what multiclassing is? I thought thief was an occupation? Sorry could you explain?

Also important to note enchantment weaving is difficult and takes a long time even for a master. Its a craft skill you see so youd need to have experience as a blacksmith or a craftsman as well as your thief and magical education.

Basically think of it in the sense of time. However old your character is thats how long they have had to dedicate themselves to the skills they have in whatever class. Each Class is skilled at different things, you wouldnt want to have your Wizard on the front kines otherwise one good hit can fell them. You wouldnt put your thief in the front lines for the same reason.

So while a person may dedicate say...19 years to being a thief and 10 years to being a mage. That would mean they were multiclassed. However someone who spent 20 years as a thief would have access to more thief traits and techniques.

In otherwords the more you stuff into a character the less focus they have. They will be useful in the early game for sure. But mid game they will start to show a lack in power as they have to divide their attention and by late game enemies will be too powerful for much damage to be done.

Think of it lioe a red mage from final fantasy. They can use magic and weapons equally effectuvely. But they cannot learn spells above 4th level nor access expert tier weapons.

/doesnt play final fantasy/

but i kinda get it now. So maybe hes just a thief that sometimes dabbles in enchantment-ing for fun and really cant do much.

I suppose though id really prefer if you picked a different magical focus. Enchanting meant you create long term magical items and effects and is one of the harder types of magic to master...furthermore it takes hours days weeks and sometimes even uears to actually enchant something so it wont be near as useful as you think. Furthermore you would need a pretty good understanding of magic because enchanting something is applying spells to that something for a kong period of time.

For exapnle say you wanted to make a Sword with Fire in its strike. You would need to know how to enchant, know a fire spell, spend maybe a day or two slowly weaving the magic to the items atoms and then you would have the sword.

Also i am only allowing 1 or 2 magic items per person to start so being an enchanter who makes magic items doesnt really make sense.

Short answer, Enchantment is not availible to Multiclass characters only pure mages.

Id recommend potions or Just straught up spellcasting.

No your fine. No one had really asked about that at all so it was good to get that lore out before someone tried to make an knight who builds enchanted items for himself. Were supposed to be relatively low level adventurers but still competent ya know.

Ah okay. Do you mind explaining that a little more? /Also what skills would a thief have?/

Sure thing.

So the legendary badass adventurers who would have normally joined a prince on his journey are alk busy protecting the kingdom at war. The adventurers we have left are from the cities and towns in kaldos and even in some of the 13 cities to the south. These guys are basically adventurers by trade who refused or were rejected in joining the Kaldian military. Our party consists of those. In fact for many a chance to potentially earn wealth and fame on a royal crusade is like their big break. Being relatively low teir is essentially saying were all in our early to mid 20's or 30's and are basically trying to make a living in the oldest way you can in this work...killing monsters.

As for the Skills they fall into the rogue category. Stuff like stealth, lockpicking, pickpocketing, appraisal, slight of hand, dagger skill, bow skill. Your typical thief stuff. You wouldnt have many skills involving armor, heavy weapons, magic, etc. A good example of this can be found when looting the dead. A warrior may find a weapon and or some food. A theif would find the weapon, food, their hidden coinpurse, and their lucky enchanted underwear.
