You guessed it, I'm talking about the 1980s. And what a time it was to be alive. Let me tell you a story. It about a very hot summer, the summer of '87. Not even the sweltering heat could deter the spirits of the big-haired youth of a beachside California town known as San Clemente. Why don't we take a little trip back in time and I'll tell you all about it?
Meet a group of recent high school graduates who plan to spend their last summer before college doing what they do best--sand, surf, and generally having a kick-ass time. However, after these ten friends gets caught spray-painting the side of their old high school at four in the morning, they are forced to get jobs at the pier in order to keep their mischief under wraps from the colleges they plan to attend in the fall.
The jobs, whether it be picking up trash shoreside or serving tourists at the Boardwalk Diner, pretty much suck. No worries, though. These teenagers plan to make the most of the time they have together, no matter what the costs may be. It was a summer of good times, mayhem, and learning things about each other and themselves.

Guidelines
1. Wait for me to accept your character.
No auto-accepting. 2. I'd like you to apple for two
roles--one male and one female--unless I give
you special permission. 3. Don't play your character
as a Mary Sue or a Gary Stu. Nobody's perfect!
Also, please base your character on one from an iconic
80s movie! 4. Avoid god-modding, bunnying, and any
other fancy term used to describe controlling other
player's characters. 5. Be sure to play your
characters as written! If your character is shy,
they wouldn't go flirting with anything that moves.
6. There is going to be drama in this RP, but don't go
too overboard—unless that's the way your character's
personality is. Also, OOC drama will not be tolerated.
7. Romance is fine and dandy, but make sure to fade
to black when things get too hot. Also, don't, like, get
engaged in one day. Yes, I know some of you guys do
that. 8. When it comes to cursing, use tact and keep
the RPN rules in mind. The real password for this
RP is any quote from the 80s character whom yours
is inspired by! The one at the bottom is for the losers who
didn't bother to read. 9. Avoid one-liners. We understand
Writer's Block, but try to crank out at least a paragraph
per post. 10. This is a literate RP. Please be sure to
use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation at
all times. 11. Stay active! Please let us know if you
have to drop for any reason.
