It had been weeks, literal weeks since you two had spoken or seen one another. It was a nasty break up that almost ended up in a physical fight. Which admittedly Andreas was not… really proud of. They had both stayed couped up in the house, depressed and derived of human interaction. Little had they known that the world went to complete shit.
Andreas had finally seen it on the news, and horror coated his emotions. He was.. petrified. He tried to call you one last time to see if you would pick up. He stood at the window and looked outside, it looked dead.. everything wilted and gone from no one being around, either they had fled the city.. or they died and were undead.
He stood there with the phone to his ear, anticipating that you’d pick up, his heart beating out of his chest, as if that was the only thing he could hear.. his heartbeat and the soft ring of the phone as you wouldn’t pick up… but how he hoped.. and prayed.
