I've been thinking about some sort of hunting trip outside the city, mostly so I get an excuse for one of the Yakshi's soldiers to yell "BOOM HEADSHOT"

Sorta rethinking the hung-over-accidental-stabbing thing... not sure if that'd be to much of a monkey wrench to throw in. How the hell do you get out of that?!
Killigrew
Killigrew
Very carefully.

Not to mention Muruthine law is all about revenge >_>

Assassination attempts? Duels? Sounds like relationship-building fun to me! :D
Idrat
Idrat
-_- oh plz. Someone was gonna try and assassinate 'em even before (mostly Osoru as a race-traitor, which is why she always has a pistol.) Probably the night's hand - sorta the kkk of Muruthavad.

I could see her invoking Muruthine honor codes and censuring him, which means that she would stop being his host because he dishonored her (temporarily; it's a lesson.) Rlly depends on who gets stabbed, though. Could be the head of a Yakshi vassal clan, Muruthine spiritual ldr, etc.

Aw, she wouldn't stay beside him in solidarity? Will we have to make a turning point happen before all that, then?
Idrat
Idrat
...i have nu idea. when should the turning point happen? 6 months = autumn + winter in the mts.... uh....
Idrat
Idrat
+ that custom doesn't ACTUALLY cut a relationship off. She'd stick with him in public but she would feel that herself and her family were dishonored.
Idrat
Idrat
Maybe the turning point should be when the outside danger approaches? It also seems to me that he would fall for her first (I think, since he's the emotional/passionate of the two and she's colder and logic-driven.)
Killigrew
Killigrew
That's very likely, yeah

Would he even be able to reconcile that any children he'd have with her wouldn't really be his? That sounds like a thorn o_o
Killigrew
Killigrew
No way! Not in all his life! He'd rather adopt! Or take on his neice's son than let anything like another man invade the bedroom :p
Idrat
Idrat
Neice?
Killigrew

Niece... guh. Meant sister. Nephews are usually considered the best of heirs in medieval literature.

Osoru would - in an ideal world - want children of her own kind and wouldn't really be able to consider a human child hers, since that child would be raised in a separate world and wouldn't have claim to her family.
