Really? I thought it was rather disrespectful to the originals and the lore of Star-Wars itself. Especially what they did with Luke and that nonsensical Leia scene. :\

To be honest, Luke's presence was unnecessary. Ray already knew how to use the force. But I'm not really much of a superfan, so I can't speak on a professional side.

I consider Rey an insufferable Mary Sue for that very reason tbh

I so wanted Finn to be a Jedi. From First Order to Jedi would have been a great story.

Yeah, wasted opportunity imo.

Speaking of wasted opportunities...he's one. It feels like he's just there for eye candy at this point (the shirtless scene was so unnecessary) he's just...not an intimidating villain...or interesting. Snoke is...but whaddya gonna do. Episode 9 I have 0 interest in now.

The only characters that're there I still like are Chewwy, C3-PO, and R2-D2. RIP Han Solo.

It feels like none of the classic characters are getting their fair due in this new trilogy. That's why Expanded Universe is my new canon post-Return of the Jedi anyway. In case you don't know there was literally decades of books and comics etc. that expanded the SW lore after the movies were done and stuff and Disney came in after buying the rights and just flushed it all away as NON-CANON.
