Other/Backstory: Zik enjoyed being with his grandmother and was devastated when she passed. If anyone every brings up anything about her, he desperately tries to hold back tears, but will fight the person if they insult her. Zik cannot resist a hot bowl of ramen noodles - his grandmother made it for him whenever she would get ready to tell a story. So, don't be surprised when your tough and hardy headmaster looks up at you sitting criss-cross applesauce with a big grin on his face after you feed him ramen!

Appearance: He is average height but leaning towards short considering he slouches to remain as unnoticed as possible, with a thin but muscular frame. He has black hair, pale skin, and mahogany brown eyes.


Personality: He is kind and empathetic, self-serving, but loves to help others out and is very sarcastic. He has a nasty temper sometimes, and tends to lash out when provoked.


Likes: Reading/writing, listening to music, being with friends, sparring,


Dislikes: egotistical/nosy people, loud/sudden noises, being touched, homophobe's, or generally bigoted/ignorant attitudes


Other/Backstory: Bram was raised in an orphanage and was one of the "trouble children" that always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even though he did nothing wrong, the headmaster held a nasty grudge against him. He was thrilled to be adopted, but was brought into the wrong family. Now, anytime the topic of family comes up, he instantly clams up or leaves the conversation. No one truly knows what happened to him

Other/Backstory: Courmine left his mother and two sisters at the age of 13 in search for knowledge about bending. His sisters were not benders like he was, rather they practiced many dances and spiritual movements to influence the tides. Courmine obviously picked up various things from his sisters and still to this day is amazed by the way they dance.

Appearance: five foot seven ten inches tall, blond, straight hair covering his eyes, the length of his shoulders in the back. Light blue eyes and with a light skin tone and a disarming smile.


Personality: Loyal friend, straight-A student, smart, quick on his feet, but doesn't shy away from trouble. He is friendly to all, and enjoys the company of those who don't have friends.


Likes: Friendly people, water, rain, mediating, brawling, swimming, singing and dancing.


Dislikes: Backstabbers, spiteful people, bullies, sadness, fire, and wind.


Backstory: Reyd was prince of his city, though when his father passed away and his mother gave away the through, he refused to take it, and gave the position to his sister. At age fifteen, once he found out he was a bender, he left home and traveled for three years to find the bender-only school.

Standing at 5'6, she is a thin girl but not in an unhealthy way; in a more you must exercise a lot way. She has unruly brown hair and blue eyes.


Personality: bubbly and open, she likes to play and have fun more then get serious but when called for she can meditate for hours on end with complete focus.


Likes: playing, games, the sky, laughter, the elements, her friends


Dislikes: grumpy people, people who are to serious,


Other/Backstory: being surrounded by playful monks all her life led Kim to being a pretty lively person. She was planning on joining the other monks and help train the younger children but that was when she heard the strange call. Bidding that she follow her own instincts the monks told her to go and that was how she found her way to School of Benders!

Personality: Mostly keeps to herself and her music. Doesn't make many connections, emotionally or physically. Wears a mask of strength and quiet, but is really very sensitive, and deals with her emotions by fighting or training. Very tomboyish. She hates crying, because it makes her feel weak or girly, and gets flustered or uncomfortable at physical contact (Though she really needs a hug, lets be honest).


Likes: Music, animals, the dark, training, reading. Spends most of her time outside if she can help it, and never wears shoes.


Dislikes: Large crowds, shoes, being put on the spot, flirting, dresses/skirts. She hates getting injured, because it keeps her from doing things.


Other/Back-story: Raven grew up with 3 brothers in a family of farmers. She discovered she was a bender at 14, after accidentally setting a scarecrow on fire after a fight with one of her brothers, and heard the strange call a year later. She left almost right away, something drawing her forward, and found the school.

Personality:To most students she is the dreaded disciplinarian teacher,serious and sarcastic she takes no guff from her students and works them hard with the slightest mistake dealt with harshly, namely a wash of cold water. This is not due to some malicious reasoning but due to sense of necessity, water bending is a hard art to master and that way is the best to teach. She is inwardly caring of all her student and those she works the hardest is the once she sense most promise, she also has a childish side enjoying a good joke and prank though she wouldn't never admit it.


Likes:Surfing, a good display of bending of any element, Sumner weather, good coffee, training, meat.


Dislikes:Laziness, arrogance, flirting, interuptions.


Other/Backstory: Self taught master water bending from a poor background at her younger years was constantly getting into trouble with the law using her bending to ike out a living . She was one of the first found by Linch who took her in his school, providing her food shelter and ancient water bending scrolls to help in her training teaching her healing and, according to some student rumors, blood bending though never shown to use it. In gratitude she stayed on after coming of age helping to train other in her arts. (OCC not the best backstory but will improve next time i get the chance.)

Appearance: gold eyes that change color depending on what mood she is in, silver hair that usually has some kind of dye in it, and she likes to wear dark clothes.





Personality: Snarky, sarcastic, and insecure although you would never guess it. Gets angry super fast(especially if you make fun of her friends), and BOY can she hold a grudge.


Likes: Flirting, boys, fire, destroying things, hoodies, black and red, boots, pumping music, fighting, hugs, being touched, sparring, helping people, annoying teachers, having fun, rebelling.


Dislikes: Skirts, being cold, sleeping with socks on, people talking about her past, being bored, girly things, boooooooring teachers, math, homework, not getting enough sleep, people who are waaaaaaaaay too serious.


Other/Backstory: Her and her brother's parents were killed when they were three, and they were left in the care of a good friend, who is blind. Jessica was constantly destroying things, and her brother could bend earth. Jessie is not sure whether she killed their parents, or someone else did. She is kind of a clutz(except for when she is fighting), so she is constantly spraining and breaking things. Wears large boots to brace her ankles.


Jessica trained in gymnastics sense she was three, and became interested in martial arts when she was ten. She fights very well with any weapon you give her and is great in hand-to-hand combat. Very out of control with her element.

Other/Backstory: Aaron comes from someone's family but he doesn't know who. He grew up only knowing the streets of a walled in town. One day of seen year old Aaron's walking he stumbled across a gang fight. Not knowing what was going on seeing boys and girls of many different ages fighting he decided to give it a try. He waited until the people wearing blue where moving at the people wearing red and took his chance. He kept upon someone's back and did what others where doing: beating the living sh*t out of there victim. He managed to survive the fight with only a sprained wrist and black eye. When the people in blue scampered off a tall boy in red congratulated him. At a young and imperssionable age he followed the people in red to a old warehouse. Somehow he managed to stumble his way ingot here ranks and for some time the people there taugh him some tricks to fighting. One boy named Nial Gisel basically acted as his brother. They did everything together from patrolling to fighting. Nial had been expelled from a academy where he learned how to bend fire and taught Aaron all he could. Eventually he wanted Aaron to enroll in the academy. Aaron fearful of betraying his only true friend picked up a appilcation form. When he came to the last name part he asked what a last name was. All he knew was his name. Nial answered rather unhelpingly by telling him to make something up. Aaron not knowing what to do did what he did best: Copy his "brother". He added gisel and began his journey into the world.

Personality: He has always been smart, though few people tend to notice and are quick to underestimate him. He is quick-witted. He happens to be extremely adventurous, which often lands him in deep trouble. He is a tiny bit reckless, though not by much; only when he needs to be. He's exasperatingly brave, as he never turns down a fight, though he is kind-hearted and caring of others. He is also deeply stubborn, which also doesn't help him stay out of trouble, and always cheerful.


Likes: Adventure, writing, solving things


Dislikes: Being discriminated/underestimated, being left out/ignored, losing


Other/Backstory:


Orphaned as a baby, he grew up in an orphanage with many other children, most of which teased him relentlessly. Eventually, he was adopted by a couple, a gruff, non-bending, bender-hating man and a kind-hearted (in secret) waterbender woman. The man drank frequently, and one day, after discovering his wife was a bender, ended up killing her. This he blamed Martin for, with his 'bending', which he shortly found out about later, and abused him for a long while. One day, while hiding out in the woods one day from him, practicing his bending, which his 'father' called a curse, he was discovered by a very intelligent stray dog, who took to following him everywhere. He named the dog 'Snow' for his white fur, and he was the boy's only comfort. Eventually, the man was discovered for his crimes and was arrested, thus sending Martin back to the orphanage. After the incident, no one wanted to adopt him for fear of 'mental issues' or something like that, and at 10 he ran away, bringing Snow with him. He would like to write for a newspaper when he grows up.
