Race: Mantis, a warrior race, generally associated with violence, aggression, and grotesque acts. They move quite quickly and look similar to giant mantises. (See FTL: Faster Than Light)





Position on ship: Engineer


Bio: K tries to be friendly, but avoid people in fear of prosecution. He often tries to take the safer route, but also avoids protest. K was born to an aggressive band of Mantis pirates and trained to be ferocious from an early age. In one of the acts of piracy being commited by his family the ship was boarded by Policemen. K was seized and taught well, he went on to be adopted by a human family and graduate at the top of his class. Though his race puts him at a disadvantage, he overcame that and finished college to become an engineer.

Bio: At his homeworld, he was a god. After years of war, he had risen up, with his expertise on space/ground combat. He has a easy going personality, but can be frustrated real quick. He still has some blueprints of his old ships/weapons. One day, his power suit malfunctioned, rendering it impossible to take off. (He is very secretive so you have to be close to him to find out more about him.)

You can't leave sections blank due to the fact that that wouldn't match the story. So read all sections of the overveiw and make sure you get the plot, try harder to make your app nicer, and finish it. If you don't feel like doing that then maybe this RP isn't for you. I'm strict about my RPs

Its something for people to be more involved. The more involved they are, the more they will know. Trust me, it will be fun

No trust ME, the creator of my own RP. First of all, the only spots that are left are pilot and weapons officer, and those are human only spots. Second of all, the Human Alliance Sentinel council chose the crew in the story. Why would they chose someone they know NOTHING about?

Position on ship: Pilot


Bio: Shawn is from a small human colony that was mainly just used as a port and docking station for spaceships both human and not. He's the youngest of his family, with three older brothers, two older sisters and a twin sister that's older by eleven minutes. His father, brothers, and grandfather all worked as mechanics for incoming ships, and he was expected to be a mechanic as well since there weren't many other jobs available that were considered "manly". As a little kid he was taken to the ships so his father could teach him how to fix them, but he was never good at the mechanics or liked it.


Once when he was about seven and wandering around a ship his dad was working on, the pilot of the ship found him and showed him around. He showed Shawn the main bridge and how some of the machines worked, and Shawn was hooked. Every ship that came in he would find the captain or pilot if he could and learned how the ships worked. As soon as he turned 16 he hitched a ride off the colony and traveled, working as a cabin boy basically and learning how to pilot ships in his free time. He obtained a pilot's license at 18 and then worked as a pilot to transport cargo across solar systems and galaxies. Most of where he worked was strictly for his own adventure purposes, and he mainly avoided big companies and the government since some of the jobs he did weren't as legal as others. He only agreed to join Captain Doe's crew because the job paid well and he just got word that his twin sister Theresa was sick and needed money for treatment.


Skills: He's able to fly just about any ship extremely well, and can pick up on how to fly a new one in virtually no time. A very good shot and able to fight while still thinking rationally. Has picked up many alien languages and can speak several fluently.


Weaknesses: Even though he's good with computers, he's not the best people person and tends to stay more to himself. He's a little above average for human strength, but doesn't have any training in one on one combat so he's clumsy when fighting and not very good at it.

@Greg2344 I can't speak for the GM, but it looks like the only spot left is the human weapons officer; So you'd be limited in your choices. If you're interested though, filling out the crew sound nice

Leo was born on a small, unimpressive, junkyard planet. His family was poor and Leo built things and sold them to make ends meet. When plague swept through the town his father was struck ill. To both afford treatment, and compensate for his father's pay Leo began building makeshift weapons and selling them to local gangs though he was charged of this on one occasion, the charges were dropped mysteriously. A few years later, Samuel finally made enough to get his parents off that rock and buy a ship. Due to his experimental weapon designs The Human Alliance felt Leo would be an important resource.
