Fantasy Virtual MMORPG Group Roleplay

I like your idea of him being an antisocial child who grew up.

Because if they take off the helmet or shut it off the player would die due to electric waves frying the brain.

It would kill them either way. The helmet is the only thing keeping them alive.

Technically this makes no sense, but I guess I'm just being a bit too picky about the specifics. There are probably more important things to worry about.

One question...

If this is virtual reality and the players get scared or something, do they move in real life? Meaning they might die before they finish the game? Or do they sit down and let their bones rot?
How can a helmet keep them alive in these conditions?

Mm, how can it do any harm without electricity though

How is it keeping them alive and how would they die if it was shut off and it couldn't harm them? This makes little to no sense.

Well, if you remember in SAO they just moved the affected people to emergency rooms. Some might die, but in general the affected people would be cared for.

Not to mention any possibility of being able to use this thing as a death box would never pass any sort of regulation. I honestly can't think of a way for this scenario to work well though. :/

Hmm.

Asuna has no effects on her.

Kirito looks old.

Seems legit.

(NO, IT'S ACTUALLY NOT LEGEET! Meaning that's a lie!)

Yeah I guess that's fine for now. If something else comes to me I'll bring it up again, but I don't have any better ideas.

Yeah...

Perhaps their real danger is playing the game too long?

What if the helmet had a defect that if a person played the game for more than 5 hours straight, the thing would fuse with their skull or something?

Well, Asuna did get much better care on account of being rich.

Or we could just have them not trapped in the game. And we could RP the offline and online parts

Kinda like the second part of SAO

But meaning that everyone being care for is a lie.

At least, in equal ways.

Hmm. One question.

How the hell does Kirito look old? Why's he so dehydrated? Can they not give him water?

I HAVEN'T FINISHED THE FIRST SEASON OMG

(I'm not finished either. #MAJORSPOILERFEST. But I'm fine with it. It's all kewl bruh. I just finished about half of season one, the first game part. They play like 3 different games! How much money did they spend?!)

Okay so they aren't trapped in the game.

They can get real life money from playing.

Like I said before, the plausibility behind them getting trapped in the game isn't important. That being said, one idea I had was it being some sort of government-sponsored experiment or something like that.

Maybe the featured players all really need money for one reason or another?

(But the skull fusing, that's be scary. Hmm.)

I guess it COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOULD work

Possibly

That sounds good. Maybe they all team together and create a guild and work together to earn the monies.

It could be for some kind of guild-tournament of sorts.
