Fantasy Gods Among us

(I originally Started this on another forum. [although i dont remember which] and it died out after a few weeks. I saved the setting so i could use it again and that wish came true.)


Several gods have been sent to Earth, cast from their heavens for an unknown reason. They are each sent to a school, which they discover is a school of gods! All sent for an unknown reason. While working their way around their teen hormones (and maybe even falling in love), the gods must find out why they were sent to Earth.


You may use gods that exist from cultures such as Egypt, Hawaii, Africa, Celtic, Norse, Germanic, or others that you know of.


RULES:


1) Let the others know when you are leaving.


2) No using gods that are already used.


3) Let me know if you won't be posting for several weeks.


4) Obviously, choerence to basic RPN rules.


5) Twofold/ threefold gods/godesses allowed (Bast/Sekhmet, Morrigan/Badb/Macha)


Note: Twofold and threefold gods/goddesses have one god(dess) that is predominant. They all share one body, but different personalities. Different god(dess)s emerge at different time for certain reasons.


6) Romance is allowed, but try to keep it PG-13

(I tried to have a god of a different culture next to each other, and there are sooo many greek gods but i had 1 in between each)

Ullr arrived at the school. Man, I wish it was winter, it's not as much fun with this hot sun. There was a large group of gods scattered around the outside of the school. "You know what?" The god stated "let's go meet some new people. There better not be any trickster gods, man I hate them" The god of skiing walked up to a pale girl with silvery blue hair, that was standing near the outskirts of the crowd "Hey, do you know what's really going on here?"


(Kinda short, but I'm just trying to get it started for now)

Hades arrived at the school. He is wearing his usual black clothes, despite the blistering heat. Actually, he hardly felt the heat at all. He only felt the cold and gripping sensation of darkness and death. He'd rather be back in the underworld, preferably in his godly form. He sigh, what's the difference anyway? He suffered there, so what will be the difference here? "At least I had Cerberus." He muttered, heading towards the crowd. He saw one guy, with a blonde hair, who was on the edge of the crowds. "Might as well get to know someone." He thought, heading over to the kid. "Hey, I'm Hades, and you are?" He ask, trying to be as polite as he can manage.

Isis arrived at the school, smiling in the sweltering heat. She gazed around at the other Gods and Goddesses around her, dotted around the outside of the school, some clustered together, others sat in the shade. Great weather, but I hate being forced from my throne. This is demeaning . . . although, it could be a break. I work myself ragged usually.





She leaned against the wall of the school with her arms crossed, watching the other deities mingle with each other. A break with some new friends might be just what I need.

Energetically running, on her way to school was Hestia, being a goddess who governs fire she was hyper in the scorching heat. She was late. But it wasn't because she woke up late. It was just that there were too many distractions from her home to the school. With all the chats with others, from humans and animals, she was now running not to be late. Once she stepped foot inside the school she was greeted with groups of gods and goddesses, already being chummy. With so many she couldn't tell where her own friends are and stepped into the crowd to find them.

Artemis was at the edge of the crowd, her face looking up towards the sun. "The moon looks so much better." She mumbled, looking back down. She suddenly heard a voice behind her. Swiveling her head, she looked at the blond, her silvery blue hair tied back in a ponytail. She smiled a bit at the man, hoping to at the least make one friend. "Hi. Umm, I don't really know what is going on. I just wish the moon was out. The sun is to hot." She said.

Ullr Laughed when the goddess said her last statement. "Yeah, I know how you feel, I'm a god of Ice." As the greek god came up and introduced himself, Ullr turned to be able to talk to both of them. "My name is Ullr, I'm a norse god of skiing, ice, and archery." gesturing to the other god, he addressed the goddess, apparently this is Hades, but we stil dont know who you are. all that I have figured out is that you are a goddess of the night and moon."

"Artemis. A pleasure to see you here." He said, recognizing the presence of the goddess. "I hope your twin is not here." He said to her. He did not hate the god, he's just really jealous of him. He has fame, adoration, warmth, affection. Everything Hades didn't have. He was also too jolly and happy for his tastes. Artemis on the other hand was brooding and cold, so that made her more interesting for him. "Which of the other gods are here? I hope my brothers stayed in Olympus."

Artemis smiled. 'My name is Artemis, goddess of the hunt." She said, her tone dignified. She smiled, her posture strait and rigid. "I usually am found alone because people don't like me very much." She said. She then turned to hades. "Hello Hades, and no, I think all of our brothers are back on Olympus. Lucky." she said, mumbling the last part.

Cthulhu & Zalgo had both met up and were now walking towards the school and were soon there, noting the large crowd of talkative people.


"There sure is a lot of people here." Cthulhu said amazed at the large amounts of students.


Zalgo just nods in agreement at Cthulhu's statement.


Cthulhu then sees a goddess that runs into the crowd. He then started running after her, Zalgo following behind him. "Hey wait up." Cthulhu said hoping to gain the attention of the goddess.

"well, you obviously dont, but I like earth, the mountains are superb. Wait, olympus, that means you're greek, but thats as much as I know, I'm more of a secluded god most of the time, not many of the other norse gods pay attention to me until its ski season and we're doing our competitions. but then again, i come down here to earth quite a bit in the winter, in greenland, they have a festival in my honor. its so much fun when they dont realize that im actually there." Ullr stopped "anyway, what are you a god of Hades?"

He chuckled, hearing his comment of being a secluded god. "Oh believe me, I am more secluded than you." He said with a grin. "I am the god of the Underworld. I can also be considered as the god of death and darkness. But, as evil as those may sound, I am nothing compared to those on Olympus, including Artemis." He said, remembering the past. "You see, out of all the gods, I am the most likely to keep my word. Well, there's Orpheus. He had his chance, but he turned around. Hercules as well. I allowed him to free one of those foolish mortals who tried to kidnap my Persephone, he also got to borrow Cerberus." He said, smiling smugly. "So you need not fear me. Even Artie here is more viscous than me."

Artemis chuckled. "You got that right. I would be more likely to shoot someone with an arrow then he would be to bring someone to the underworld." She said. "He is a very loyal person, but I don't get to see him often because of his "lady friend" Persephone." She said, smiling at him. She could be a bit evil sometimes, but almost never.

Isis had begun wandering since arriving, but had to jump out of the way when a Goddess and two Gods barrelled past. What's the rush? She shook her head, before overhearing "God of the Underworld". Osiris?





She looked around for the source and spotted a dark haired God with a couple of others. Not Osiris, which is disappointing, but no one else I recognise, which is good. It'd be way too awkward if I ran into Ra or Set. She walked over and waved a hand, not entirely sure how she was supposed to introduce herself. Queens usually don't have to.





"Hi, not interrupting, I hope," she said, shoving her hands into her pockets. "I'm Isis."

After pushing through the crowd Hestia saw some familiar faces and enthusiastically waved with both of her arms even though she was meters away and started yelling " Hades~~~~~~ Artemis~~~~~~~ " and meandered her way through leaving her hair into a mess due to the other gods and goddesses. Though she didn't care as she was happy to find old and familiar faces.

"Ah yes, that is true. Although Persephone is not the only reason I stay. You see, an enchantment, a cruel one I assure you, was placed on the Underworld by my brothers." He said with a bittersweet smile. "I cannot leave the Underworld unless they need me." He bitterly said, cursing his brothers in his thoughts.


The goddess, who said she was Isis, broke his train of thought. "Ah, Isis. The wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus, am I right? Don't be surprised. Some Egyptians also passed by the Underworld." He said, smiling at her. In a way, he had a lot in common with the goddess, but she still had the better end of the deal.


"Lady Hestia, goddess of the home and hearth. It is a pleasure seeing you here." He said as he gave her a pleasant smile. Another one of those underrated goddesses. "How is it? This is your fist time outside Olympus, correct?"

Artemis cringed, seeing Hestia. She was nice to her, however dealing with fire was not her strong suit. "Hello Hestia." Artemis said in a tight voice, inching closer to Ullr as to keep cold. She really wanted some friends, and he seemed like he would be the best bet at this point. She just wanted to be far away from the heat.

Hestia nodded at Hade's statement " That's right, I can't even think of the last time I've left since I was ordered to keep the eternal flame going "


Then by seeing Artemis's reaction to her appearance her playful side appeared as she inched closer and closer. Knowing that the heat radiating off her bothered Artemis she couldn't help but bother her even more, it's just in her nature.


" Now don't be so cold Artemis, we're both virgin goddesses here " she playfully chimed as she pounced her self onto the moon goddess, hugging her closely, sharing her warmth.

Artemis looked at her. "Hestia. Now let's be nice." She said, backing up. Artemis couldn't escape her, being trapped by her grasp. She squealed, her cheeks flushing a pink color. "Stop it!" She pleaded, the head making her sweat a little. "Come on! Please!" She begged her chest and the rest of here being squeezed to death.

Isis smiled at the God. "Hades, then? " She noted. "Must be nice to get out of the Underworld for once that place is a real drag, with weather like this too." She smirked when Hestia teased the recoiling Artemis. "A lot of Greeks," she muttered to herself.

He groaned, seeing them make a scene. "Now now ladies. I know both of you are virgins, but do you really need to do it in public?" He ask, pulling the two apart. "Now Hestia, be nice and apologize to Artemis." He said with a stern tone. "And you, Artemis, you better get used to it. You'll meet more people like her, and it's not a good conversation starter to shoot them with an arrow." He said to her.


"Yes, I am Hades. How is Osiris doing? It seems that you're love life is going dull, especially since he had to get an artificial private." He said, smirking as he recalled the story. The story goes that Osiris's body was chopped up. Most of the pieces were recovered, except for his privates.

Artemis was about to say something when he mentioned Osiris' private part replacement. She turned around and stifled a laugh, trying not to let him know that she actually thought it was super funny. Once she had recovered, she turned around to face Hade's again. "I am aware this is going to happen. And you just have to deal with us!"

" I don't understand, this is how I show my undying love for you Arte ;c " Hestia said pouting, relaxing her grip on the now begging goddess.


" I mean it's been so long since I've seen anyone besides a few pigs and cows. " Ranting on.


" I mean no one visits me, I was so lonely " she added obviously overacting. But once Hades split the both of them apart she whined


" I was being nice, how can a hug do any harm " she said already thinking of making Hades her next victim.

Artemis shuttered. "Your to warm! It makes me sweat! Besides, there is no need to crush me and my chest just for being lonely." She said, crossing her arms over her chest defensively. She snuck back over to Ullr's side, sighing as it was much colder over there. "Much better by far." She mumbled, enjoying the cold.

"Yeah, he's been . . . Different," Isis admitted, thinking about her brother's behaviour since his resurrection. "But he's God of the Underworld now, so he keeps busy."


She put down Artemis' reaction to disgust, not thinking anything was humorous about her brother's murder.
