The Aura of Faith

"Come on kitty! Come here~ I'm not going to hurt you," Lynx said as he was climbing clumsily up a tree, trying to make the poor kitty come to him as it was pawing after his hand, but only to play. Lynx kept climbing up, it looked as he was struggling, something he was, as he was nowhere close to become an athletic person. "Come on kitty, I'm not scary. I promise~" Lynx enticed once again as the kitty came closer, and in the end it jumped into his arm, but as this happened far too suddenly Lynx hand changed from holding the branch to holding the cat and falling down the tree, landing on his back.

The people in the park gave small chuckles, or strange looks as Lynx simply rubbed the back of his dark blonde hair. "Are you okay kitty?" He asked the small kitty in his lap, as if it would answer him back. The kitty simply blinked a couple of times to him before it ran off, and Lynx sighed. "Don't get stuck again now, okay?" He called after the kitty, watching it slowly disappear into the street, safely going home after being stuck in the three for a small while.

Athena groaned. Pain? Why did she feel pain. She slowly opened her eyes, looking around. What she saw was some man sitting on her foot. Wait, MAN! Where was she. She tried to move, but the man was still sitting on her foot. She kicked upwards, hitting where the sun don't shine and getting up, looking around

Lynx jumped up, feeling the kick as he had never in his life been so kick up to his feet and looked down on the woman that he had seemingly landed on. He wasn't sure if he was suppose to apologize, or yell at her for kicking him. In the end, his mannerism got the best of him, and he quickly apologized. "I- I'm so sorry!" Lynx said followed by a quick bow as he looked at the woman in front of him. The town he lived in was small, and he had never seen her before. Was she new? Or maybe a visitor? Though the chances of a visitor coming to this part of town was very small.

Athena glared at him and finished brushing off what she was wearing, which was plain. She then resumed glaring at him and opened her mouth. "You." She said, grabbing the collar of his shirt. "Where am I?!" She demanded, glaring at him. He was simple, humanlike, but something about his was different.

Lynx had yet to properly stand up before the woman in front of him grabbed the collar of his shirt, sort of intimidating him to answer her question, as she seemed confused on how she ended up there in the first place. It sort of made sense to Lynx now why she was in this part of town, since she seemed lost, but this was no way to ask a question now was it? "Um... I would love to answer your question, but... could you let go of my collar? People are staring..." Lynx pointed out as a couple of bystanders were whispering among each other, and other stared while they walked past them.

Athena scoffed and dropped him. "Stupid humans, so concerned about what other think." she said, looking at him. She glared and walked away from him. "Now, where am I? Like what planet." She asked, looking at him.

Did I... Hit her head when I fell on her foot? Lynx thought as she let go of his collar, giving a small push away from her as well, but as Lynx was his typical cheerful self, there was almost nothing that could drop his smile off his face. "We're on Earth, and the town is Yanasuke, in Japan. Just before you ask even more..." Lynx said feeling as he was talking to someone who had lost their mind, but that was something he was planning on keeping to himself.

Athena looked at him. "Thank you." She said, her tone cold. She saw people staring at them and she took his hand and dragged him away. "I can't say anything in front of those goggly eyed stiffs." She said, walking towards another tree.

Well, thank you too... I guess? Where did she come from? The North Pole? She could at least pretend she was a bit grateful.... Wha-! Lynx didn't even get to finish his thoughts as his hand was grabbed by the woman he had just met and getting dragged away towards another tree. "H- Hey! W- Where are we going?" Lynx asked as he followed her nonetheless, even if he definitely should have asked where he was going before willingly going with her, or almost willingly as he was being dragged.

Athena groaned. "Away from other humans." She said, looking at him. "Now, I am guessing what you like to know is who I am." She said, leaning against the tree. "My name is Athena." She said.

"Other ... humans? We usually call it people..." Lynx said as he was still being dragged, but when they arrived to the tree he wasn't being dragged, but the woman he had just met had yet to let go of his hand. I- It looks like we are a c- couple... how embarrassing... Lynx thought looking a bit flustered to the side, but quickly slapped his cheek to make the color go away. "Oh, yeah! I forgot to introduce myself! I am Lynx, nice to meet you Athena!" Lynx said smiling as he shook the hand they were already holding.

Athena let go of his hand and smacked his head. "IDIOT." She yelled. 'I mean, my name is Athena, the greek god of wisdom."

The hand smacked his head rather harshly, though the word she called him was completely ignored as he held the back of his head, clearly in pain for the second time today from the same woman in a small period of time. "Sorry... I never took mythology classes. But, you shouldn't go around calling yourself a God, even if you got their names," Lynx said, reading himself for the second hit.

"OUCH! Can you stop hitting me... please?" Lynx asked as the second blow was delivered to his head, this time even worse though, then after she had used him as a hitting bag, she wanted him to ask a question, it could be anything. "Okay..." Lynx said, still rubbing the back of his head thinking about a good question. "What did I have for breakfast?" He asked, as this was the only thing he could think of in a hurry.

Athena though. "You had Toast, margarine, specifically the low fat kind with jelly on top." She said.

"Oh! You're right! How did you- I know! You're a mind reader!" Lynx exclaimed still thinking she was human, as why would a God be on Earth anyway? "Okay. Enough tricks, what's the next show?" Lynx asked excited, as he realized probably one more hit was coming his way.

"Medusa... Medusa... OH! The snake lady! Are you in a circus or something?" Lynx asked as he felt Athena seemed more and more crazy by the second, who was she anyway? Was she really a God? No way, why would a God talk to him? There was nothing about him that was special, unless saving a cat out of three counted as special.

"NO!" Athena yelled. She waved her hand and a encyclopedia appeared. She took it and hit his head.

The thick book hit his head, with an amazing amount of strength too as he had to squat down to not fall down on the ground by the head. "This time a magician? Are you... Never mind, I think my head has taken enough blows to the head for one day... Okay. Say you are this God, what are you doing here?" Lynx asked, still in disbelief, but it was better to say he believed her, to not get another hit to the head by the thick book of 'doom'

Athena huffed. "That's what I would like to know. I was taking my godly nap after a sups great party with my father, Zeus and his brothers, when I woke up with you on my foot."

"How am I suppose to know that? You are literally telling me you just woke up here, randomly with me landing on your foot? You know, for a God of Wisdom, you sure sound stupid," Lynx said directly, he was bad at sugarcoating the truth, or holding back his thoughts, but it was true. She did sound like she had gone insane.

Athena grabbed his throat. "One more word about not being wise and I will have Zeus strike you with lightning." She said, dropping him.
