Futuristic Factory 124 [Mutant RP - Started]

Priya

kyber child
us, where we came from, what we are. But we can't do that without going back inside.

Those of us left split into two factions. One side refused to go back to Factory 124. They wanted to go on hiding and blend in as if all of this never happened. But the other side, my side, we want justice. We want to tear Factory 124 apart and expose it for what it is, and let the world know about us and who we are. Tensions have run high between the two groups for as long as some of us can remember, and there has been more than enough bloodshed because of it.

Our goal still stands, however. Does yours?

((Alright, here's the starter!))

Reed pulled her hood over her head, careful to hide her non-human ears. She coiled her tail tighter around her midsection and pulled another layer on, just to be safe, and emerged from the practically desolate building she had spent the night in. The moon hung low in the sky, providing just enough light for her to dart down the street and into the woods. Earlier that week, she had counted the precise number of paces it would take her to get to the meeting place she had scheduled for everyone. As she walked those four-hundred and twenty-seven steps, she wondered if any of the other escapees she had contacted would show up. Not that it really mattered either way, she could carry on her goal just as easily by herself. But it always helped to have backup, even if she didn't want or need it. One could never be too careful nowadays. When Reed arrived to the small clearing with two abandoned cabins and a barn, she discovered she was the first to arrive. Reed settled herself on the steps of the porch on one of the cabins and waited rather impatiently for someone else to show up.

Ceres jogged through the woods towards the destination she had been provided with, turning the bottoms of her feet to water whenever they touched the ground in order to muffle her footsteps. The moon cast just enough light for her to navigate through the trees without a problem, and soon enough she arrived at the clearing. She slowed to a stop and scrutinized the dilapidated cabins, glancing around to check that no one was lying in wait. A familiar face on the porch of the first cabin caught her eye. Morphing down into a puddle of water, she slipped through the dirt and grass until she was at Reed's feet before materializing into her human form. "Hey," she greeted, no louder than a whisper.

In an unusual diversion from her usual habits, Luna was moving through the forest padding on the near-silent paws of her animal form. This was unusual because she didn't usually make a habit of walking around this way, especially not so dangerously close to a population of humans. Seeing a sleek black panther wandering the streets or even the nearby forest would be sure to cause an uproar and end in either her death or recapture. But that night was different. First of all, it was early morning, which meant that the cover of the semi-darkness would conceal her and she could blend easily into it with her dark coat of fur. Secondly, there wouldn't be a lot of non-mutant humans around, and this was a meeting of mutants, which meant that she could show her alternate form without fear of backlash. This was something that she honestly enjoyed. She liked being her panther, and liked the idea of being able to comfortably exist in that form without having to worry about her death or recapture even better. When she arrived at the clearing that the summons had designated--she knew she had the right one because of the old cabins and barn--she lingered in the shadows for a moment, analyzing the place to make sure that it was safe. Then she padded hesitantly into the open area, shifting back into her human form as she went. Once she had finished, she blinked to adjust her eyes to her relatively weak human vision, looking around for anyone else that had already arrived. Spotting a figure sitting on the porch of one of the cabins, she raised her hand and waved once in greeting.

Alec, in his favored form as a large silver wolf, stayed hidden as he watched a panther pad by. It was clearly another mutant, but he made no moves to reveal himself. Once she had disappeared, he headed on a different path to the old cabins. He circled it a few times to be sure no normal humans were around. It wouldn't be the first time a meeting like this was a trap. Fortunately, he found no un-mutated humans and trotted into the clearing. He stood near the occupied porch, but didn't shift into his human form. Instead, he nodded at the girl standing there, green eyes flashing in the dim light. He was fairly sure the other girl present was the panther from a few minutes ago.

Nick was covered as best he could with jeans and a hoodie, but no one would have to look at him for very long to see his reptilian appearance. He was carefully jumping from tree to tree to avoid detection. He wasn't sure this wasn't a trap. He reached the clearing and waited in a tree, his tails flicking back and forth. The cabins and barn told him he was in the right place, but he was still cautious. None of them looked abnormal from what he could see. He decided to just wait this out and see what happened before moving.

Luna began to make her way closer to the porch, the figures standing there now clear to her even without the enhanced vision of her panther's eyes. As she drew closer, however, she saw an animal standing nearby, quickly realizing that the animal was a wolf. This struck her as odd. She had communicated with many natural animals and knew that almost none of them would willingly approach a group of humans, and besides that, linger in their area. This led her to believe that the wolf was actually one of them, perhaps even from the same part of the factory that she and her brother had been born in and experimented on. As she approached, rather than interrupting the two people on the porch, she knelt in front of the wolf and made eye contact. 'Hello,' she said, using her mind, the way she usually spoke with natural animals. She wondered if it would work on fellow shapeshifting mutants.

Alec sat down and tilted his head, considering the human in front of him. Not only was she a shifter, she could also communicate with animals. 'You're the panther,' he said, a statement rather than a question. Now that he had caught her scent, he knew she was the panther. Alec could touch others' minds while in animal form. It was how he communicated. 'I don't know you. But you came from the factory, didn't you?' His ears swiveled constantly, scanning for any sounds that indicated danger.

Thomas creeped through the forest, not making a sound as he approaches the clearing. He bit his lip and looked at everyone who arrived already, disappointed in himself for not arriving earlier. He doesn't make a sound, even when he becomes visible again. He comes from behind a cabin, rubbing his arm. "Ah, h-hello. Sorry fer arriving late. I was further than I thought I was." He speaks to anyone in particular, fiddling with his hands nervously. He notices this and stuffs his hands into the pocket of his jacket.

Asim was jogging through the forest, watching her breath come out in little puffs at the same beat of her music. She smiled to herself and hummed contently. To any casual human, she looked like she was just a dedicated jogger, either running late or really, really early. And to tell the truth, it wasn't that far from the truth. Eventually, she made it to the clearing. She stopped her music and pulled out her earbuds. And look at that! Someone was already talking to the local wildlife. She could tell this was going to be fun.

Nick continued to scan the area. He noticed a girl had pulled off to the side and he wen to investigate. Almost noiselessly he jumped from tree to tree. When he was almost on top of them a memory forced it's way into his vision. He didn't cry out, but his feet did miss the branch and he barely caught it with his hands. He feet kicked a lower branch and it shuffled around. He quickly dropped onto it and tried to hide himself among the branches, but he wasn't sure how well it worked.

Luna smiled widely when she heard the voice of the shifter in her mind, pleased that he had understood her and pleased that they apparently shared a common background. 'Yes,' she replied, still smiling. 'I am the panther, and I'm from the factory, as well.' She wondered if they--the scientists--had done the same things to him that they had done to her, or if they had used different techniques. 'My name is Luna,' she continued. 'Have you also come here in response to Reed's message?' Over her head, she heard what sounded like something falling through the trees, and looked up, furrowing her eyebrows as she squinted into the darkness and wondered if there was someone there.

'My name is Alec.' He could feel her curiosity about his abilities, though she didn't say it. With a spark of amusement in his eyes, he flashed through just a few of his many shapes- lion, eagle, dog, bear, just to name a few- before settling into his human form. "Yes, I came here to speak to Reed," he answered, his voice touched with the same accent as his mental voice. It was, however, free of the slight growl that had accompanied his earlier words.

Ceres watched the others interact in silence. Socializing with acquaintances wasn't her strong suit, especially since she had only seen them around the factory a couple of times. Favoring exploration over conversation, she slipped inside the first cabin, swatting at webs and covering her mouth to keep dust out. "What a dump," she whispered, spotting a couple chairs but opting not to sit on one for fear of roaches.

Luna watched, fascinated, as the other mutant--apparently named Alec--shifted through several animal forms before finally settling into the shape of a human. She was impressed by this. Apparently, they hadn't come from the same experiment. Luna could only shift into a panther and nothing else besides communicate with animals. This had also been the case for her brother, who had come from the same round of experiments as her. After the other mutant had become human, she stood. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted someone with long hair entering one of the cabins. Now that she and Alec had gotten to know each other, Luna followed the girl inside out of curiosity. "Is there anything of interest in here?" she asked, conversationally, looking around the cabin's darkness.

After watching Luna go inside, Alec tipped his head back. "I know you're there. You might as well come out," he said to the mutant hiding in the trees around them. Alec stepped up onto the porch and leaned against the railing. He had no idea why Reed was having them meet here of all places. The old cabins weren't exactly far from the city.

Nick got his barrings again and relaxed a bit. Surprisingly, no one seemed to notice. He was greatful, but he also took note that this group needed more vigilance. Three of them entered a cabin and he decided to follow. He jumped from tree to tree again until, he was out of anyone's eyesight. He jumped down and climbed the side of the cabin. He hoped it didn't sound as loud inside as it seemed it was to him. On the roof he patiently waited.

Levian had stayed hidden in the brush, not truly wanting to show himself, could he trust himself with these people. Would these people trust him, who knows, there was a man who could shape shift, several girls, and another guy, at least he thought. Pulling his white cotton button up shirt against his body and wings as he walked out as they waked into the cabin, good he could just stay out here, he walked in front of the cabin and sat down, as everyone was inside he decided that he could get a stretch out. Standing up slowly he stood up tall, almost Seven feet on his tip toes and took of his shirt, wings unfurling and strong muscles stretching, his wings spanned out at least fifteen feet in each direction,if they were to retract they would be a bundle that could measure across about five feet. His white pearly wings caught the sun and he shivered as warmth spread through his body " oh yeah......... that feels good" his voice is soft as he sits back down with his wings fully spread out, he smiles as he looks up at the sky, he see's a couple birds flit by and chase each other, maybe he would go and join them. But he chose not to, sitting on the floor he was happy just watching.

Ceres glanced back as a girl followed her inside the cabin. "Not really. All the mattresses and anything else soft were all moved out a while ago. There are probably a lot of bugs." She turned her hand to water and washed off the seats of two chairs before sucking the water back up, leaving it dry. "That's better." Plopping down, she motioned for the girl to join her in the other seat.

Deciding not to lounge, he sat up and started of into the cabin, it was quite at first and he only looked at one person, a girl, whose hand was water one second and then the next it was normal. He let out a shallow sigh as he took a seat in the far corner of the room, trying to understand the reason for them to be just sitting around, he needed to be moving, and int his cabin he felt like a trapped animal.

Alec watched the winged mutant curiously. "I think I remember you," he said slowly. His green eyes scanned the guy's face. "Yes. You were in the room across from mine. I remember now."

looking at the person who could shift forms he gave a wary smile, then his face turned stout and emotionless, he washere to see what they were planning to do, not to interact with them. Letting his wings fold over his body and cover everything but his head he looked at the people in the cabin and gave them all a rough assessment, he wanted to be happy, he wanted to let them know him. But he was changed in a way were emotions did not seem to affect him like they would with a regular person.

Nick was in luck and found a sky light. It had a crack running through it, but it worked for his purposes. He looked in and saw others talking amongst themselves. One girl turned her hand to water and back again. He scanned for familiar faces as the winged boy walked in. Of corse he didn't recognize anyone. As far as he knew, Nick was the only one to have survived the testing in the energy wing.

A picture of Danny's face flashed into his vision and he recoiled for a moment. He took a calming breath and looked back in.

(Feel free to notice him)

Reed revealed herself after everyone had more or less gathered inside. She looked around at all of them; a rather impressive group, if she thought so herself. She spoke up. "Thank you all for coming on such short notice. Sorry about the location. I wanted to be as secure as I could." She moved to stand in the center of all of them before pulling her hood down. In doing so, she caught sight of a face looking in through the skylight. "Come on down, you're safe here," she called up to him, hoping her voice would carry through the glass.

Nick saw a final person come in and start talking. Everything was muffled at first. When she pulled her hood down she must have spotted him and said something. He thought he made out "come down" and "your safe. He considered his options and decided that if everything went to Hell, he could burn the place down win heat energy. He crawled off the roof and entered the building, choosing a seat in the corner.

He looked at the newcomer with wary eyes, his wings twitching and his body still, he wanted to know whom this girl was, something made him feel as if everyone in this room had felt fear, but her, she seemed to show no sign of that. Standing and furling his wings back in against his body and walked towards the group, wanting to be able to hear the conversation better.

Luna watched with interest as the girl with the long hair turned her hand to water. "Thank you," she said, in response to the offer that she sit down, and did so. After she sat down, she took the opportunity to observe everything around her and what everyone was doing. It was very clear that everyone else here had come from the factory, like herself. Somehow, it made her feel more at home than she had in a long time. She listened to what Reed had to say, and then looked over at the young boy that had been hiding as he approached. Hoping to make him more comfortable, she offered him a sunny smile.
