Fantasy Slayers: Modern Maniacs

The jock read it and backed off. Apparently Takao's new overnight confidence was kicking in. Jane looked at him. "How could I love the douche? I've only known him a day and he left me in a car to almost be killed by...well momma troll." She whispered that last part so only Takao and Luke would be able to hear.

"And now you are saying I'm smart, gosh you flatter me." He gave a slight laugh before looking back to Takao. "Love isn't a strong enough word for how I feel about her." He gave a wink to his man and turned back around, awaiting a response or sassy remark from his "love". He saw the bully matter from the corner of his eye, but didn't bother helping, Takao could handle it.

"Oh come on it can't be anymore obvious that hes got a big crush on you Jane." He replied to them as he pulled out his phone and ear buds.

"Last time someone had a crush on me and I acted on it...I was raped." She said bluntly. Revealing a huge part of her past, turning back to her iPod and cranking up the music. Well that escalated quickly, why tell them that? She thought.

Takao froze and realized he had broken into her past and was almost blown away Blunt..but seriously I had no idea..jeez.. "U-um..sorry"

Luke was shocked and his eyes softened a bit, he turned to look at Takao giving him a cut throat signal, hoping he would know to stop. He leaned back, not pursuing this any farther, unless he had a moment with Jane, but definitely not in this packed classroom.

Jane stayed quiet. Feeling all the memories and all...she almost cried. But no tears came out, her dad's sense of military strength he passed onto her kicked in. She held back whatever was about to pour from her eyes. She shook it off and listened to her music. The bell rang moments late, class was starting.

(I g2g guys, I'm sorry but I have an emergency I gotta take care of. We'll continue tomorrow, k? bye)

Obliviosly walking into the classroom, Conner takes a seat, and prepares for whatever was to come.

(I had an emergency, just letting you guys know everything's okay now, had a personal issue with the family. But all is good, and I may continue on! I'll probably just post once tonight and start posting again tomorrow so yeah, lol)

Jane couldn't believe she just told Luke (@Huntrey ) and Takao (@KroNicc115 ) about her being raped...that was a part of her past that she hated talking about. It's partly why she's so...gritty. Class started and Mr. Grey arose from his seat, and began lecturing about the second day of school, what he considered to be the first day of normal instruction. He shot several glances to each of the Slayers while he went on. Mr. Grey was very...boring as a teacher in Jane's eyes, yet exciting as a mentor in slaying things. She wasn't even paying attention, really. Too distracted by her memory of that awful day. She kept her eyes on Grey thought, giving the illusion she was fully listening like she normally did in all classes, after all, she was a great student.

Luke listens avidly, for this was Mr. Grey, slayer and telepath. Yet not a couple minutes into the lecture he was falling asleep, letting his head slowly start to fall to the desk. His hair was spiked, running down Jane's back softly, but entirely on accident. His eyes were drifting, but he was still listening, barely.

Takao was still a bit stunned over what Jane had just mentioned to her and Luke. He listened to Mr. Grey as he gave his lecture of the day. Boring as most of his classes always were. He held his head up on his hand and noticed each look Grey had given them. Takao kept looking over at Terra and got distracted by her for a few seconds. Shes so beautiful..I feel bad for her dad though..I wish there was some way that I could show her my appreciation. She likes this medical kind of stuff so..maybe I can try and study that stuff with her. It would be very interesting actually. He comes back from his trance and pays attention to what Mr. Grey was still rambling on about.

Jane's back is visited by Luke's hairs, sending tiny chills down her skin. She didn't pay it much mind, still reliving everything in her memory in her head. She waited desperately for class to end, but it had only just begun.

Luke was moving his head up and down, practically hitting himself, this class needed to be over. He thought to what Jane had said, and if it was true why did she tell us? I'll ask her when we inevitably end up alone, by the way things are going.

Takao looked over to luke who was falling asleep and chuckled to himself. Then looking all around the classroom he sees nothing of interest so he decides to take a nap. He lays his head in his arms and falls asleep.

Terra's eyes lingered on Takao's sleeping before, before turning away and quietly taking out her sketchbook. (not much to write...) She flipped it open to an empty page and started drawing a sketch of the boy. Once finished with the head she sighed and turned to discard it, as she had done with the drawing before. Terra dropped it in the nearest trashcan and returned to her seat, giving Mr. Grey a sad look.

Mr. Grey's lecture for class went on for 50 minutes,m the length of the whole class period. The bell rang and signaled for the students to go to their second period. Jane quickly collected her things and exited the classroom.

Luke exited after Jane, tapping on her shoulder, "Hey can we talk.". It was a weak attempt to get closure on what happened earlier, but it seemed rude to allow her to dwell on these thoughts, at least alone.

Jane ignored him, knowing what he wanted to talk about. She scurried off to her second period, English 9. Finally, she could just be alone with her fellow freshmen...well, not everything is full of upsides.

Luke sighed, realizing she wouldn't open up anymore to him. He had probably become to flirty, and didn't show he was sincere enough with his compliments. Either way Jane didn't seem like a possibility right now, so he moped his way to class. Giving his usual waves and gestures to his friends, the girls that usually flirted with him got no reaction from Luke though, he just wasn't feeling himself.

Jane planted herself in her seat for English 9, Sighing and resting her arms on her desk, she awaited her fellow freshmen to enter the classroom.

Amelia had been trying to take notes on Mr. Grey's lecture, but none of it seemed to actually pertain to writing. Or class in general. So instead, she wrote down little quotes he threw out that made good life lessons. Pity, she thought to herself. Another class wasted when we could be doing something productive.

As the bell rang, signaling the end of class, Amelia had a glossy look to her, like she had given up on Mr. Grey's lecture and was daydreaming. It took a moment for her to realize class had ended. She took her time putting her things away and grabbing her binders from beneath her desk. When she and Mr. Grey were the only ones in the room, she produced the old reference book she had taken from the Pit the night prior.

"I-I didn't mean to remove... um...." she stammered, not wanting to look Mr. Grey in the eyes. "I accidentally took this home," she said pathetically, sounding more like a question than a statement. She held the book out for Mr. Grey to take from her.

"Amelia, why on Earth did you take this home? It's dangerous to be fooling with books like this when you have no experience!" He said, taking the book from her and putting it in his desk. "I didn't mean to yell, just please understand that...in words Ms. Romano would use, 'you must keep your nose out of things you don't have business in.'" He said to her, scolding her while also concerned. "But I'm glad you returned it, at least." HE continued on about the book and why she shouldn't have taken it, also asking why she took it in the first place.

Terra leaned against the wall. Missing a class wasn't that bad - it wasn't as if anyone would notice, and she would always catch up. The girl took out her pencil and tapped it against her cheek, thinking of an excuse for her absence at class if needed.
