Tales of Azura (1x1)

Zed simply smiled as he sat on the sofa and played with Zabou. '' You can go shower and all, I'll go get some breakfast in the mean time.'' he said smiling and pulling up her kimono up. It was actually quite provocative and she probably didn't even know that she could make any men simply beg to touch her when she looked like that. He simply blushed and continued playing with Zabou.

Saphire blinked, looking down at her sleeve before blushing. "Oh... I hadn't noticed. Uhh... thanks." She stood up and walked into the bathroom, trying hard not to let her hair turn a shade closer to purple to match her embarrassment. "I'm just going to... yeah... uh..." She closed the door, face bright red, before taking off both kimono and under-armor to take the shower, profoundly grateful that non Tsukijin didn't know how to read the changes in shade that well. Though, some could tell if they were observant enough. Once finished with the shower she got dressed again, making doubly certain that her kimono was in place. Once she was certain of it she began to brush her hair, walking out of the room only once she was able to focus on the bottom of her hair.

Zedekiah walked out of the room to give Saphire some time for herself, being a woman and all, it must of been awkward him being there in the same room. As hell, he found it weird and really awkward. He walked down to the main tavern, they didn't offer anything in the morning except water, so he went to a local food market with a very nice old man in the counter. He bought a few fruits and pastries and walked back to the Auberge. He knocked on the door, since he wouldn't want to walk in to a naked TsukiJin. '' It's me Saphire.'' he said shyly, for her to know it was him and not some stranger.

"Come in." She told him, brushing her hair closer to the bottom of said appendage. "I... apologize for earlier this morning." Just because she hadn't been awake didn't mean she was an idiot. Or allowed to be so... so not modest. There was a reason that her people usually wore kimono and such... even if in the end it was her own fault for not buying a set of clothing to wear to bed. "There is nothing I can say to make up for exposing you to such an embarrassing situation."

Zedekiah walked in with the extra bags from the food market, he dropped them immediatly after entering on the little japanese style table. He sat on the floor in indian and looked back at Saphire with questioning eyes,"no need to excuse yourself for such. It happens. It will probably happen to me too!" He said chuckling and taking a bite on a very juicy red looking fruit. He moaned at the taste of it, "mmm so good. I never regret eating in the outskirts of Velika. They always have the best food, can't imagine inside the walls!" He said making zabou nibble on the fruit.

"I imagine that it would be very delicious indeed." She replied politely, taking one of the fruits herself and eating it. She'd apologized, he'd accepted, it would only make the situation worse to dwell on it. And yes, the fruit was delicious, sweet but not sickeningly so, and juicy. Silently she wiped off the juice from her chin, using her thumb, and wiped it on her blue Hakama. "After all, they must get it from the same place as these outskirts."

"Yup! So, when are you ready to go? Cause i'm really impatient to finally meet this historian!" He said excitedly.

Sorry about the short respond :/

"We can leave now." She said, standing up and offering him her hand. We have food for about three days, if we don't eat it all. And even if we do I can scavenge us some edible herbs to tide us over until we arrive. Saphire thought over the trip. There shouldn't be much trouble, though there may be a few wild animals which refused to be calmed and thus would attack them. She fingered a sword she kept hidden in her Kimono sleeve, it was only there for protection, but she hoped it would not need to be drawn for the wild animals.

Zedekiah grinned widely.'' Perfect! Let's go then!'' he said excitedly scoffing the rest of his food in his mouth. He grabbed his purpilish great sword and placed it in it's rightful place, in the pouch in his back. No one could really manage such a big sword, they needed intense training to just be able to lift it and actually use it's basic powers. Luckily for him, his father was good enough to make him train from childhood. So now, he was probably one of the youngest Slayers in the whole continent. He walked out of the hotel, thanking Ms.Ludisse who was at the cash. She waved at both asking them to come back and they walked out of Lumbertown stepping in the dense forest.

Saphire waved goodbye to Ms. Ludisse, walking out behind him and eating another of the fruits he had bought. She truly did enjoy their food, but knew that soon it would be gone. As soon as she finished it she decided to hold onto it, planning on burying the seed at the first location she found suitable. The bounties of the world existed for all, after all, and she was sure the townsfolk would be grateful to have wild fruit in lean times. "Yes, it is..." Checking the sun for her direction she turned towards the deeper forest. "This way to the village."

'' Ok!'' Zedekiah said cheerfully following her. They entered the forest, a magical feel came to it but it was nothing compared to the southern Shara like he had witnessed two years ago. Walking on the natural pathway, knowing that he could accidently step on some magical creature and bring himself an actual curse knowing his luck. He looked back at Saphire, '' So who exactly are these people?'' he asked curious as to how she knew them.

"The village is a bunch of humans who were said to have descended from travelers who had passed the sea before the connection of continents. Among their legends is a leading star, and I was hoping that the historian who went there knows some of the necessary information for our goal of finding the Star of Azura." She paused, deciding to tell him a bit about the Tsukijin historian. "Eridan is... of the Earth tribe, known for his typically emerald hair and hazel eyes. He was very serious about history in our training years, and often would go off on tangents connecting various myths together in ways we would not have thought of. He also loved to dissect people, finding weaknesses if you give him a chance."

'' That's quite interesting, he seems like the right guy to meet!'' Zedekiah said feeling better now for knowing who he was meeting. A small river was ahead but no bridge. The shore wasn't too far away and he decided he would jump across, not really thinking about it he took a small sprint and jumped across but felt something gripping on his booth. He looked down as some crazy ass fish just munched on his foot. '' What the fu-'' he didn't have time to finish as he crashed to the ground, the fish basically squashed from the crash and Zedekiah's boot in his mouth. Zed look at the green stuff spread everywhere, '' This is so GROSS.''

Saphire giggled slightly, walking over to him. "And that is why you don't jump rivers, Zedakiah." She held out one hand, the other holding her kimono sleeve over her hand to hide the smile on her face. "I'm sure it'll wash off in just a minute, so don't panic too much." Yes, panicking would be bad. "Besides, all creatures give off a certain feel... I doubt you would be in danger because of it."

Zedekiah took her hand and lifted himself off, kicking the sluggish greeny thing off his foot. '' What do you mean feel?'' he asked kicking what's left of the fish in the river. But what he saw was worst, it was basically the same kind of fish eating the flesh of the dead one. '' Ok, seriously this forest doesn't seem as cute and nice as it projects.'' he said looking in horror at what he witnessed.

"Because it's not. The forest is home to many creatures." A soft smile, she walked out of the river with him. "Many of which eat one another to survive, much like the higher races hunt fish for food. They do what they must to live, and each action is... part of the harmony. When the harmony is unbalanced, when there is a discordant vibration, then my kind feels it. Such discord is usually the effect of sentient-creature action, and we try our best to prevent or fix the problems. It's how I knew there wasn't a curse on you, and how I knew the fish wasn't poisonous. The closest term is harmony, as it is a symphony of vibrations."

'' That's pretty cool,'' Zed said walking into the forest. He looked up at the sky, it was starting to get pretty dark and they had yet set camp for the night. He spotted a pretty good spot close to some small lake and it looked safest. He ran a hand through his hair, '' I think we should st camp over there. I could get some wood for the night and tomorrow at sunrise we could leave.'' Zed suggested pointing at the are.

"Yes, that would be a good spot." Very peaceful, over there... and they could easily erect a tent if necessary. "I can see about making the tent, if you have one." Soft smile, flick of an ear, was that a wolf? No, it was bigger, but less aggressive. "And maybe we can share stories over the night. If you want to sleep first you can."

Zed placed a hand over Saphire's shoulder," sure! Go place the sites and all, and ill go get some food and dry wood for the night! " he said cheerfully with a wide smile. It was actually the first time in..in forever that he spent sometime with someone.

She nodded, walking forward with the tent and beginning to set it up. It was always nice to have intelligent company, and so rare for her. What would have been an intelligent person would turn into a fan as soon as she was put into the situation, after all... fame had that effect on all peoples.

(Oulala, Saphire is the popular type.)

Zedekiah walked back and forth from the camp bringing dry wood with all kind of length. After making a pretty good pile that could last throughout the whole night, he started chasing a few different kind of comestible little animals. It took a few hours and by the time he finished it was already pretty dark. He wrapped up all of his small prey feeling happy of his hunt and walked back to the camp cautiously, it wasn't too far. ''Hey..Got food for us.'' he said in a hush tone.

((She's their leader, of course she's popular.))

Saphire looked up, glancing at him. One ear shifted to be looking at him, the other pointed to the lake. "Come on over." She wasn't a vegetarian, but she wasn't a hunter ether... she only ate what she was given. It wasn't her place to decide which innocent creatures died, unless she had no choice.
The camp:

She's sitting with her back to the fire, which is between the trees and the tent, and the tent is next to the lake, with a tarp in case of rain. She set the camp in a small, dirt clearing right next to said lake. There's a blanket on the floor where she's sitting, big enough for food and the two of them to sit on.

Zedekiah smiled at her placing their food next to the blanket, he didn't want to dirty it with blood. '' I'll make the fire to cook it.'' he started grabbing the wood and fixing it the way it should always be. It wasn't a very big fire since he didn't want to alarm any bigger creatures around but it was big enough to keep them warm during the night. Once he finished, he walked back next to Saphire and grabbed the small prey, ''Have you ever cleaned one and cook it the wild style?'' he asked smiling at her. Living on his own with no support whatsoever came with it's perks. He was now independent and could easily live all his life in the forest.

"No... though I know the method." She'd watched the others do it, holding back the urge to puke always, "I have cooked, though." She studiously avoided looking at the small prey, worriedly fingering her sleeve. Yes, the food was necessary, yes, she had to get over it, but Saphire would never enjoy eating mammals... fish, yes, birds and mammals? No. A tiny swallow, her dark hair darkening further, eyes rippling just a tiny bit with darker color, "I... could help, if you want?"
